From powder to pull out.
What a great day at steamboat, snowboarding, and some great powder. Then we had to go to strawberry park Hot Springs. On the way up was very icy so we knew it was only gonna get worse as it got colder. Once we got there, we found out that there were more wrecks and many people were delayed about an hour and a half to come up or down the pass so we decided to stay and enjoy a few more hours. Once we got going down, we found a little Subaru with chains on the front tires that pulled over and slipped into the ditch and only got worse. We found a truck that was about to pull them out and we offered to help. I suggested having the truck as an anchor point because even my 10,000 pound van was s...

Storyteller Classic OG van #7 saved by Beast #29

When Van number 7 needs help and beast #29, with the Volta system, with has been properly charged and maintenanced is there to save the day. Proper care of your volt system is important to keep it charged and Maintenance. The beast comes with the midcity auto start and high idle which helps me out a ton. Also leaving your inverter off when you don’t need it helps drain less power.

It was great to call up and come in to visit Suzan the owner of DMOS (Do My Own Shit)! The team there swapped out some old rusty pins that were giving me trouble (because I never get stuck and hardly use them or Maintence them). Great quick friendly service with a smile! 
Rixen enhancements

I stopped in to Rixen Enterprise for plumbing upgrades, Heating upgrades and engine warmer. I felt these were all great upgrades for winter snow all while I chase snow Out-west. Almost 20 minutes of a video with lots of good tips and contact information at the end.

This system is inferior to American made 4x4 systems. It seems like the Germans could learn a little from Detroit.
I think they don’t have any r&d for the sprinters because they think these are just made for Amazon vans

What’s with the check engine light?
Happens a bit. This was related to the EGR and DEF system. Usually nothing major until you go into limp mode and have to restart the vehicle.
Nice job Toddler, next tell the driver to stop turning into the snowbank when you're trying to pull them out...

I would say around 12 mpg
Hopefully 20 on the highways
Good video Todd. How you liking the new shower head & is there a off/on capability like in the stock one?
And it’s adjustable so you don’t need to have it at full pressure and it still drips to keep you warm when you mount it back up. The hose is a little longer to use as a slider outdoor sprayer.

Todd, where did that switch for the ARB come from? Was/is that a factory option and if not can you share the switch source for upfit? DM
Storyteller Overlander did the original build out complete with the ARB and all. I added a few things later like the winch and number but I recall Agile off-road had the switch and really nice connections.

Question: what is the reason for turning off the traction control before going off-road? I’m new to this and want to understand. Thanks.
Mercedes so-called smart computer thinks it’s best to not allow tires to spin in four-wheel-drive. So much so that The tires won’t spin when they need to. When the Mercedes senses will slip it limits the throttle and power to that wheel.
Crazy expensive vehicle
Best bang for the buck for sure. I’m sure a tent would be cheaper but then I would need a vehicle to drive my tin around. And then I would need a few other things so I got this and I’m quite happy for making that decision.
