I absolutely love this song, give it a listen on a monthly basis. I am yet to find out who originally wrote and performed this tune, there are a couple of leads in various comment sections but no luck. if someone could shed light that would be bloody brilliant.

RAF here, as was my father. He served alongside the Paras in Aden, being a fitter on the Beverley. A family member was also ex Para and a big influence on my father. I took the Queen's shilling in dark blue, but I too have a very soft spot for the Paras and have a number of friends who did their bit on Mount Longdon. So why did neither myself or may father not try to join the Paras? - who knows, but great respect we both have for the maroon machine.
