Oh I don't doubt that at all. If it sounded like I was complaining about the time that it was going to be in early access, that wasn't my intention. I'd much rather game devs take their time and do it right than rush and mess it up like so many have before.

I understand what you're saying and the resources needed to build the multilevel building is a fair point. But tbh I don't think it's a game that even can be p2w at this point. There's minimal pvp so other players' progression is almost irrelevant to your own. Maybe in full release this will be different and I'll change my opinion but we will just have to wait and see.

There is no doubt it needs more content. But it already has a lot more than Alpha 1 with a lot more planned to be added.

What's in the video is all that we have on religion etc at the minute. This was only talked about this week in depth. It is not yet implemented in the game, but we will see it in Early Access at some point, and I will do a video then yes.

Yes it's a team game that's for sure. Possible but very difficult to solo everything that you need in crafting.

It needs a lot more content for sure. The Alpha 2 footage in the vid is mostly just me running around grinding. The building system is basically complete, and the crafting system is mostly in place but does need tweaked in a few ways. But everything else needs considerable work - combat, pve, pvp, economy to name but a few things. At this point, I am hopeful that the devs will implement these things right, but only time will tell. For the most part, they are saying the right things about the future plans.

Yes. You can place plots together and build from 1 into the other. The only limit is the number of plots. If you are playing with people, that shouldn't be an issue. If you are playing solo, you will get either 1, 2 or 4 plots in early access depending on which founder's pack you buy.

Haha yeh if they link the subscription to plots on full release then hopefully there won't be an issue. But in Early Access I'm expecting the buildable space to get busy pretty quickly

Yes indeed thank you! They're super quick at it too, but they're a little too inefficient with the fertiliser for my liking. Even with the talents unlocked, they don't actually get the fertiliser from the previous crop when they clear it. Whereas when you clear it by hand, you get a significant amount of fertiliser. It may not be worth the time but still worth noting.

I don't intend on playing it single player, but judging by how the idle training works (as you say, you log in to the server, then idle train, then actually log in to the game), I would presume that you can't, as you have to be logged into the server to actually idle train. I cant say for certain but my best guess would be that.

Some skills in order to claim them you need to have gained some of the comprehension markers. It is required to claim some specific skills say around 450 up. It is random. Like some skills need you to have a talent book before you can claim it.

The idle training gives you an increase to the rate at which you gain skill xp. So you idle train for 24hr, but then you need to actively play to get the benefit of the idle training.

So you have to play it on a server. But technically you could host a server yourself and play it solo so yes. And yes there are NPC enemies.

there is no story, npcs are all the same, yell the same things in chinese. You basically make a base, then a training building and leave your guy in there for MONTHS while you leave your computer on not actually playing the game. Dont waste your money.

Yeh I agree completely. It's part of the reason why I'm surprised I'm enjoying it so much. I really wasn't expecting it to be so engaging and full of content.

Its a boaring game and even the region locked servers are already flooded with chinese that block off resources and grief westerners. Buy if you want, also runs very very hot.

It's called Myth of Empires. The best way I can describe it is a glitch free Ark without dinos set in medieval China.

I never played it but based on that, I might have to give DAoC a look up. I do think Ashes has the potential to blow all previous MMO titles out of the water. But there's still a lot of hurdles for them to beat to have a chance of achieving that.

There was no NDA for the Alpha testing in November and that's what all of this content is from. There is still an NDA for some behind the scenes play testing thats always ongoing. Yes exactly! And more animals and they all tie in to the cooking system and even some breeding/animal husbandry. Much similar to another game I am playing atm called medieval dynasty. If you've enjoyed these videos of Pax Dei you will enjoy Medieval Dynasty also!

The grind is there for sure, but its only Alpha. They will reduce that slightly with different mechanisms as the game progresses.

I agree! The organisation comes later with more space and more chests etc. For the first few days I was just grinding and putting everything anywhere 🤣🤣

Haha I think it could be a super enjoyable way to play the game. A merchant hiring player mercenaries to bring goods from one part of the world where they are plentiful to another part of the world where they are scare. Lots of risk but lots of potential reward.
