5:02 this. This should have been the prime focus on the entire video. Though I think you put "influencers" and "content creators" at a much higher level of importance than they are (obviously because you are one) i do whole heartedly agree with everything else you've mentioned. The sad thing is the soy-boy femi-naz brigade running the title straight into the ground not only don't care, they'll blame the destruction on the playerbase and not on any of their poor decisions. To them, we are wrong for not approving of their monetized halfhearted changes. It is such a damn shame, I was so excited when I heard about this game. Like you, I was signed up well before the game had an alpha to run. It is a damn crying shame these executive developers place no value in what someone else created and now want to squeeze out every last cent as they drive the game 6 feet under.

I can only speak from my own experience. Before the 7.0 update, I was part of a very active guild and logged in almost daily. I’d run veteran flashpoints on multiple characters, sometimes even hard ones if friends were around, which they often were, join normal ops with the guild, and spend weekends with an ops prog group. Then 7.0 dropped, and within a month, the guild was a ghost town, and all my friends had quit. It happened so quickly. I tried to stick it out, but with everyone gone, the game just felt empty. On top of that, the conquest goals became harder to achieve, and the new gearing system was frustrating. Now, I only log in every few months to play through the new story content, but that’s it. The 7.0 update, touted as the biggest and best ever, ended up killing the game for me. From what I can see, Broadsword hasn’t done anything to improve the situation.

I agree, with a lot of what you say, however there are certain content creators of this game, that pull the exact same BS they call the developers out on, and then these same content creators refuse to engage with their community when people this disagree with offer constructive criticism. Now, I won't reveal this content creator, but they know who they are; made the direct claim that they in fact bettered the game for my experience, and that they continue to make this game better, so I directly asked how they've done it, and the one comment I got back publicly was "I don't have to explain myself I know I have and that's all that matters, you don't like what I say, I'll just block you". Really?? That's how a former content creator who "helped" bring swtor to its "peak" treats people who disagree with them?? Another example, they made the direct claim that in an interview Eric Musco specifically stated something regarding one of the Operations, I asked show me the direct quote, instead of showing me the direct quote they sent me the entire video, thinking I wouldn't have the ability to watch it (or read the transcript) when this was pointed out their response was to delete my comment, and not engage at all. Most of these creators have an issue taking any responsibility for anything, you can argue if the PTS is fair, but I will say, 95% of this player base refuses to go on the PTS. Want to know how I know, because you rarely hear players complain about the PTS being only for subscribers as the reason they didn't hop on. It's only after they are reminded that there is a PTS do they say oh well that's the reason. I've said this on other content creator channels, and I'll say it here as well. If I go to a restaurant and I get bad service, I may go back a second time, because stuff happens, people have a bad day, however, if I keep getting bad service and I keep going back I have zero reason to complain. Let me be clear, the developers are stuck in complacency mode, because the player base allows them to be, because there is no other game out there like SWTOR for the Star Wars fan base. In order for the real change to happen in this game the players have to accept they have accountability as well for the state of the game. Truth hurts, but it's possible to be fair and truthful at the same time, something this community as whole lacks from the developers to the content creators, to the player base.

I stopped playing three years ago after being a Founder player. There's so many problems but it all stems from the Devs not being honest about what's be to expected at this point. Also not implementing or even trying to give players what they want. They clearly care more about catering to whales more than players since I remember when the mass player exodus happened during the Eternal Throne era, they kept that CM updated while players went years without story or Ops updates.

I just want it to be like it was at launch with sith vs jedi cinematic cutscenes and good story

I loved playing this game to death but I’m glad I stopped over 2 years ago. I’ve had as much fun playing the stories as I did KOTOR 1-2. But BioWare deserves all the scorn it gets for its decisions and deserve to go under for it.

i got off swtor a few years ago ( last year maybe played a bit?) but before that i played alot. Mostly just solo because i was trying to use it like it was kotor 3 . Ok so you talked for over 6 minutes but you didn't really say anything. SO somebody was kicked out of the content creator programm? So? Maybe there was a good reason for it? Maybe he was acting inappropriate? If you call out the devs atleast give some details on the situation.

The Problem is some content creators NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS your OPINION ISNT FACT and your disliking content isnt constructive criticism most ranked pvp will never admit the rank was bad and toxic and full of cheater when it was ,most hardcore player(swtor central ) will never admit or understand that opreations arent and never did matter, or swtor angels wh oare jasut openly trolls and dont even play or care for the game but love trolling ,most content creators are game devs let alone know coding or anything related to making game so when they make demand and refuse the see the bad situation(lack of funding) and continue to cry out again and again . the game simple lack GOOD FUNDING to give us the content we all want it sad that ppl dont understand that . is their fair critic of the game yes(like cartel market stuff ) but to act like ever content creator isnt "valid criticism " is somehow good or"right" is bs . Are the devs ruining the community ? no the lack of funding is not the lack of criticism no amounth of criticism will get ea to fund swtor .

I had to leave the game when it became clear they were not listening to their player base about anything. Not to metion customer support is a joke lol.

Until another Star Wars mmo comes around, I don't think this game will ever die, no matter what they do to it. Star Wars enjoyers need something to play.

Day One account when the forums launched in 08. Played in the Beta. Then played for years - and it was also my go to MMO during the bad times in life.. Haven’t been able to get past the character screen the last few months.

I've been a player since beta and the game has been stagnant since 6.x and now Broadsword are crippled by both a lack of imagination and the ability to deliver.

Swtor dosent have any more content for me. Ive played through all 8 class stories, twice. Dark and light side. When i stopped playing i had 4 max level toons. With another 20 toons of various levels.

And everything I want still can't get ahhhhhh all I want is the energized infantry armor set I know I can get it on the galactic market every time I get the $ for it it goes up more than it was so I never could get it last time it was $900,000,800,00 so I don't understand why it always changes price

As some who is kinda a newcomer to SWTOR community as a whole, it is a little disheartening to see the way the community managers and developers are handling this situation. I don't necessarily agree that "date nights" are a bad addon, I for one deeply enjoy the interactions and romances the player can have with their followers and other NPC's, however it cannot come at the cost of actual story development and gameplay. I think this is what most of the community is saying, however the devs and most defenitely interpereting it as an attack. I wish one of the more moderate community members could actually get a serious interview with the dev, though I highly doubt it, those sort of things never really happen no matter the developer (unless its an indie one :P )

I used to play this game so much 8 years ago. I loved it. I played again recently and immediately could tell the game was neglected in those 8 years. The writing felt rushed and lackluster. The combat felt clunkier than I remember, which is likely due to me having played a lot of WoW after swtor, but no improvements at all? Just disappointing. I want to love playing my sith sorc again.

There is a crap load of people on Starforge so I don't even know what in the hell you're talking about.

Maintenance mode,,no new full ops,no new pvp maps,,it will be just text based story fluff and pretty much lots of stealth nerfs,credit cuts,etc.,,the game makes over 100 mill and keith makes a 6 figure salary,,it is not a money issue its the very small team left behind and not all 40 work on the game, half at most,the others are admin posts,,,,

Im glad you came on my feed. Ive subscribed. To see video game developers treat their fanbase like this is so uncalled for and unnecessary. I don't play Star Wars The Old Republic anymore. I've just had enough of it. I'm just going to stick with kotor 1 & 2. Video game companies need to stop treating their customers badly if someone doesn't like a video game concept or a type of thing happening in a product they should listen because at the end of the day we are the paying customers.

Ive called out every update for SWTOR on every steam post for being greedy bs. Ive had this game from day 1 as well but havent played much in recent years because of their incompetence.

It's an unethical business practice by Broadsword. No two ways about it. This forces players to spend real world money to make changes to our characters. Just another method of Pay 2 Play and soon coming to a Cartel Market nearest you, Pay 2 Win!

😂 mine dude they just separated swtor Bioware half year ago. U really understand why swtor is on state it is cuz Bioware failures. Now I been playing game since once vanilla I had no idea the game had content creator program. Bioware had never try open said hey this people we like. Broadsword just got the dirty dipper the contect creator crying for attention. If going out pressure on broadsword u need name the person the manager the girl in charge.

I left wow in 2019 because I started playing SWTOR and lost all interest in wow as a result. I loved the game. Played for about 4 years, but I’m playing wow again. I had reached a point in SWTOR about a year ago where there simply wasn’t anything to do. WOW has its issues, especially when it comes to customer service. But they’re continually adding new things to do. Date night? Come on.

they can only put out 1 endgame boss and call that content, killed ranked pvp forcing pvpers who wanted challenge out they haven't touch anything that's an issue but hey lets add more cartel market items like that is content they may need money but they are killing the entire pool money by not doing crap to improve the game the dev don't care they follow there own agenda and anyone who disagrees gets removed...

Speaking of SWtOR community, wth is the deal with the in game community lately? While there is still helpful people around giving new players advice and helping them out there seems to be this influx of smart alecks who are on the constant prowl for a good chance to troll and irritate people. I've been on a hiatus, I was pre-order player in the beginning, I came back and subscribed again about 4 months ago and in the last 2 weeks it seems like there has been a giant influx of trolls and shock jocks in chat.
