    Emmitt Smith did have a great offensive line but he also knocked the shit out of alot of defensive backs straight up. Plowed over all defensive defenders. Juked the crap out of players. E Smith deserves everything he has gotten. Period.

    Emmit was always criticized for being slow but according to his stats he was as fast as needed to be.

    When people say Emmett was good because of his O line, I swear these people never watched this dude play. Emmett broke some tackle it's crazy to not give him credit. On top of that, he always hit the hole hard. losing yards was rare.

    People look at his original offensive line... zero hall of fame, best pick was 3rd rounder. People forget,he didn't have Larry Allen until his 6th year. Before Larry,he had rushed for over 9,000 yards

    As far as all around back, he's 2 only behind Walter. Not the fastest, but best eyes, best receiver, Def top 4 back. BS WP JB ES

    No runner in history had his vision. I'm biggest cowboy fan ever, and who's list isn't barry,Walter,Emmitt, doesn't know football. Talking modern day, Jim brown obviously there, but Emmitt is no doubt top 5 on anyone list

    I havent seen much of Emmitt and certainly not the replay @8:11 but when he made that insane "vertical juke" and made the whole team miss I made the exact same sound the announcer did at the same time. That was just disgustingly nasty.

    Look at how many huge holes emmitt ran through. He isnt even getting touched until he is about 15 yards down the field. Some of these runs he isnt touched at all LOL

    Emmitt is the greatest of all time. Period! Barry was/is a quitter. Emmitt willed his team to win, it didn’t matter who was on the line for the duration of his career. He was the top rusher from high school through college and into the pros. The KING of RBs!! If you ain’t first your last!! Lol!

    Best O-Line ever. Trash RB..he was so slow. He had hole biggest enought the fridge could run through them. Those "broken tackles" were missed tackles

    Emmitt smith is what you get when you combine jim brown, with barry sanders. A fast, elusive, tough as nails running back. I think he's the greatest ever now

    I'm sure I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this. I am hands down the Texas boy down to the core. Love my cowboys put pounds or pound. I know emmitt Smith is hands down one of the best running backs ever. But if you really look at Barry Sanders the footwork he does the stuff that he did all by himself. He didn't have the line that the cowboys did nobody's ever had that long except for the Chicago bears. I think it was back in '83. They called them the iron curtain, the bearish Anders man he would make people break their ankles

  • @irishcubs01
    @irishcubs01 10 месяцев назад

    Emmitt is way way TOUGHER than Barry. More durable, longer lasting, etc. So Barry juked out of a bunch of tacklez. So what. You want tough yards all game long go with ES

    Everyone says it was the Oline that did everything but always in broken tackles and yards after contact but I guess that doesn’t mean anything when you play for the cowboys.

    Barry and Emmitt were both amazing in their own ways. But who do you want on 3rd & 1 to continue a drive? Or 4th & goal line on the 1? Emmitt 9/10 times.

  • @lylemorrison9811
    @lylemorrison9811 Год назад

    Emmitt was so good at making a quick cut to avoid a defender. He also hit the hole extremely fast and rarely took a straight on blow. I guess the best way to describe him was deceptively elusive. He almost looked like he was in slow motion sometimes, but it worked spectacularly. They weren’t the Barry Sanders type cuts that were insane to watch but they were just about as effective.

  • @abenice
    @abenice Год назад

    He was good but BARRY SANDERS was WAYYYY BETTER

    • @mezanine10
      @mezanine10 Год назад

      Sanders was a more gifted athlete and runner. He's a once in a lifetime talent. But Smith was stronger, tougher, more durable, better receiver and better blocker. He broke tackles while Barry avoided tacklers. I'd take Emmitt over Barry all day.
