The constant hyping up of this show is really becoming draining. Old formula one was a sport of patience. COTA 1st sector is unique. The road is harsh on tires. Tires work in a temp sweet spot(based on tire pressure). Too hot and they give up. Sector 1 is very hard on tires . Which means high temps. This could cause traction loss on entry/exit to straight. Its not that theres no rubber on tire. Brundle is technically right and wrong. In short hes just gabbing. Drivers know best. Its why they are f1 drivers. You can hear clearly Hamilton's thots. They put him out at a stupid time. And no doubts too much air in tires just to make sure he cant hit the sweat spot. This is just my understanding of the tire model. I could be really wrong.

I’m fairly certain “the fastest tyres provided they complete the lap” means that if they are if don’t make a mistake or crash as Russell provided today is quite easy. Just because the medium tyres In Singapore are now the soft tyres in cota, does not mean the tyres will react in the same way, they’re different tracks with different surfaces, different climates, different tyres and a different time of day, that is the entire reason Pirelli manufacturer multiple compounds, Brundle is an experienced driver and an experienced broadcaster,the lateral load of sector one puts heat through the tyres therefor making them lose grip, the amount of lateral load is variable between cars, setups and how drivers take said corners, everyone knows you’re going to get your best lap time on your first lap on your new tyres, of course you will be able to set more laps providing you have enough fuel load, but they will not reach the maximum that was achievable. And on a side note there is a 17 year cataloge of Brundle singing Hamiltons praises, and is commentating live on lap times the camera feed you see, isn’t sitting after the fact and poor “analysis” of “data” because quite honestly comparing lap stints at different tracks isn’t data, no one is lying to you, there is no conspiracy.
