army i.o.t.v. deltoid kevlar, fits the entire face and sides of a standard steel plate with the use of duct tape lol. You can pick them up for like 10 dollars at surplus stores.

What about about trauma pad. This plate can brake ribs and punch trough lungs.

If your using a Safariland basketweave 94 belt why not use all Safariland pouches in basketweave. Mine is set up that way. On SWAT we use Safe life defence duty belts with the cobra buckle. We use the high speed gear LEO taco pouches. Nice duty belt set up.

Great set up great basket weave Sam Brown belt 94. That's what I use in my Dept. With Safariland basket weave pouches. I use everything but a taser! I used them in the past and some times don't work good like my oc spray and ASP. I am a FTO and armor going on 25 years now! Great stuff well done son! Keep safe!

Great video and duty belt set up. My dept. Here in Wisconsin we use safariland pouches holsters and duty belts. I used a basket weave buckles 94 belt for 18 years until it ware away. I use a bianchai duty belt with a plastic buckle now. I carry a Sig Sauer P 320 45 Acp now. I use to use the Sig Sauer P220 45 Acp. We use X-2 tasers.

I had basically this idea I’ve been trying to get someone to test out. I dont have the xtra materials to test it myself. The lvl3+ plate with coating has separation issues as we know. What i did was take the Kevlar out of a expired lvl3 soft vest and put in front of the plate. The sides and top that hang over i hammered back around to the front. Hammering it makes the crease stay and it kind of makes a “C” channel in the front to help catch anything coming up and gives double Kevlar on the top and sides for direct impact. A little Alabama chrome (duck tape) to hold it in place helps. The xtra thickness makes it a bitch to get in the carrier, but once you work it in, it stays and doesn’t sag or try to work its way down to the bottom of the carrier. This looks like the closest thing I’ve seen to that idea. This is a clean looking final version compared to my crude proof of concept idea. I cant tell how thick that is. Does it look like the same thickness as the front insert of a soft vest or a little thinner? If if slips in the carrier easy it cant be as thick.i put it in a iotv and it took about 15 mins of pulling to get it in. I would love to see some test ran on this and see how it holds up. I’m sure it will hold up longer than anyone wearing it would. If you take 10 .308 shots, spalling is probably not the top priority. The only down side to my idea is it doesn’t leave room for a trauma pad. Does the sleeve have one sewn in the back? I’m thinking by using a full front insert from a soft vest plus the coating and plate, it may actually increase the protection closer to lvl4 but offer multi hit protection the ceramic plates cant offer. I’d like to see someone put a 30-06 ap in one and see if it makes it through. Thank you for your service sir.

Dang, by the time you bought steel targets and this splatter sleeve, you could have had ceramics with half the weight!

Pretty nice. The build up coating is okay but a rifle hit within 2" of the edge will still spall out from under it generally. This is a much better solution.

Wow I can’t believe the amount of negative responses to your video! I worked as a deputy sheriff for 5 years and a local police department for 1. I now do a armed guard job for my state. Your set up is very similar to what I had in my 6 years as a LEO if it works for you it’s not dumb. As for the taser the C2 works very well. I would not want to get shot by a C2 just as I would not want to get shot by the X26. You have stated in the comments you are not a peace officer. Security officer do a very similar role to police and are often the first on scene well before the police. Your belt set up is certainly good enough. If you are a security officer then that means you probably bought everything with your own money to include the taser. Some folks can not afford the x26. People need to stop judging. The man showed his set up it works take what you like don’t take what you don’t like but for god sakes stop with the insults. The man provides for his family and is sharing his knowledge with you so maybe someone can better provide for theirs
