    I think it’s also worth noting that as radio becomes more obsolete, we’re beginning to see what the general public is actually choosing to listen to (through streaming) as opposed what radio executives choose to push. Which enables her to get #1s again. During Beyoncé’s #1s drought, hip hop & pop/EDM were dominating the airwaves. So even though her albums were selling well and there was clearly a demand for her music, Top 40 radio didn’t play her singles because it didn’t sonically fit into what radio was pushing at the time.

    Being a real fan, I know the reason is because she in some way became anti charts. She repeatedly dropped songs in mid of week, stopped doing major promo after Bday, released singles to radio late, leaks, and made music exclusive to Tidal for long periods before other streaming. Now it seems like she is still doing things her way found a way to be true and still grasp the masses.

    what always put me off her brand is that it’s always being super inflated. overpraised, and overhyped by media that the expectation is so high. and then you see it for yourself and no lie, she’s great but that is not how you let people form an opinion. we live in the world of mariah, christina aguilera, madonna, lady gaga… she needs to be promoted in moderation and allowed for people to discover her genius on their own rather than having it shoved down their throats

    In all honesty and respect… her cohesive album efforts are likely why I have always struggled with her. I never could put my finger on it until now viewing your video. I find Beyonce to be very polarizing in my opinion. Not that she is divisive, but I either love a song or cannot stand it. It really depends on what era the song was from. Her initial album was great… fun. B-day, although it being a Mid-Atlantic go-go ripoff of Amerie… it was also fun and especially loved ring the alarm and check on it. Ryan Tedder’s Halo is a beautiful song amongst an album of tediousness with Sasha. 4…. I agree with flop. Her self titled record was outstanding with remarkable visuals with her videos. Cannot stand or could care less about anything since that however. It is great that so her later records resonated with so many I must say.

    As a Beyonce fan, i feel like her albums 4, Beyonce, Lemonade, Renaisance and Cowboy Carter didnt reach the commercial success of her first three albums. I think its because she became more reverred and less personable/relatable to the general masses. She doesnt do interviews, so fans connect less as opposed to say Rihanna Or T Swift. Sure she won many awards and these albums were critically acclaimed, but she became a different artist since 4. She turned into an Album Artist instead of a Singles Artist. Her name and reputation has become bigger than her albums/songs. I just wished she focused on clear singles and stronger music video concepts for these albums as they are a bit all over the place.

    I love this album,as it was such unexpected turm musically for Kylie after the success of Fever,but I loved te album Kylie and Impossible princess and X for the same reasons.Body Language is still underatted as an album and I think she pushed herself vocally on this album too and it really shows,for me there isn't a bad song on this album. Slow as the lead single was such a great choice it's a great song and a great video too. The retro sond of the album really works and the more experimental side works as o well, I loved all the videos from this album as eve they were very different in look and sound. I loved her image/look for this album too,somehow all the photos of her from this time look like the album sounds. Kylie never wants to repeat herself musically.visually and sometimes goes left of field/off the wall musically and Body Language is a brilliant example of this,the fusing of RNB,synth pop,and a more urban sound really brungs the album together. I think it's telling a lot of songs from this album have become live favourites I hope in time people will see how great this album actually is. (matt).

    Kylie has taken afew big risks throughout her illustrious career, such as going fully experimental for Impossible Princess and going country-ish for Golden, but to me, Body Language the bravest move she's ever taken in her career, considering how high the stakes were following the success of Fever. It also happens to be her sexiest-sounding album to date, Visually, this was the era that she looked the most ravishing.

    I've always been crazy and intrigued about Body Language. Kylie has experimented a lot more in her career, with albums such as IP, Golden and Body Language. However Body Language is the most striking case as it followed a smash commercial success. I love that when everybody expected a more conventional dance record she came back like a bucket of freezing water with an experimental/retro-futuristic R&B album blended with electroclash, hip hop, minimal techno and influenced by 80s R&B acts. The album is very pop and catchy still, which is why I don't understand the bad reception sometimes. It is still a bizarre change of direction that is attractive all along and I love it for it.

    • @nuseason
      @nuseason 4 месяца назад

      That’s why I decided to make this video. The album is so interesting because of its circumstances. It’s not too crazy experimental like Impossible Princess but it’s definitely left field from Fever. The bad reception probably was from the initial shock, but once the backlash cooled down, lots of Kylie fans begin to appreciate it so it’s not too bad. Kylie is just known for her danceable and night-out songs, that’s why she received backlash.

    And there's The RUclips Word again. This "underrated" album was #1 in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Ireland, and the UK. It was #2 in Australia and Switzerland. It was top ten in multiple other countries. It sold over five million units in the U.S. alone, and 11 million worldwide. It went six times platinum in the U.S., and triple platinum in Canada, among many other countries. It won her four Billboard Music awards. It won five Grammy awards, making her tied for the most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night. These are just the wins, there were many more nominations. What do you want to happen here?
