Metal Detecting - Minelab E-Trac - Barber Quarter

While detecting in a local park I stumble upon the best find of the year. This particular park has hundreds of pull-tabs but luckily the E-Trac can discriminate those out. Metal Detecting is a great hobby that should be enjoyed by many more people than currently do. Let's pass this great hobby onto our kids and get them out of the house for a change! Dave and I dry-wash for gold in the back hills of Utah. We get into several nice pockets which result in good gold and a few nice nuggets and pickers. Gold Panning is a dying-art and hopefully we can all teach our children the genuine fun that comes from outdoor-adventures. Thanks for watching!

In this episode we head out to Utah's west desert. There has been lots of talk about this particular area an we had to see what all the hype was about. We had minimal success digging where everyone else was, so we started prospecting our own places and that's when we started finding the bigger gold! Ryan and I travel over the mountains and through the woods to grandpas golden acres where the gold is plentiful and fun is always had by all. Thank you for allowing us to share our hobby. Having good clean fun is an activity that seems to be fleeting our culture. We took our dredges and equipment to our claim where we spent a couple days camping, eating well, relaxing & finding the gold. My pal Ryan and I are at it again. This time were testing a new claim for sale. The roads were only plowed half way up, so we hiked in on foot 2 1/2 miles each way in a foot of slushy snow. Yes, I know were nuts, but we drove for 5hrs to get there and the claim had to be tested nonetheless. The test was fantastic and it's a beautiful claim. I am trying to buy it - but will most likely be outbid...
