It is incredibly brave (and beyond dumb) to double down and buy Nissan's lifestyle brand product, whose stereotypical (applies more often than not) owner does not maintain their vehicle in any way, shape, or form. We all make that misrake atleast once in our lives, i spent 10k on a bmw that had a check engine light come on the next day causing it to go into limp mode, after 3 mechanics an hours of self diagnostics i came to a conclusion ill be well over 30k into the car by the time its fixed n got rid of it for 2k. Stay away from these sketchy dealers. Marketplace does have good deals provided you get a pre purchase inspection.

Have better chances of taking a 3.7 and supercharging or turbo charging it. It'll be money up front, but it'll hold power and be reliable vs. the vr that snaps belts. Blows turbos and now coolant issues 😂 can't wait to see the new Z's issues

i feel you brother, started an hvac business was making good money and decided to buy a scat pack. Business ended up having a falling out and i was stuck with a $900 payment while door dashing. Car later on got stolen while at my new which honestly helped me out alot. Tried going for something more daily wise but still some power to it and got a 2017 q60 redsport. Turns out i got completely scammed. Not a red sport, used blue devil to hide internal coolant leak, and had a just about blown turbo. Here i am 3 engines later and 4 sets of turbos later that kept getting shipped already blown. Finally the cars almost where i want it only problem i have know is needing anew tensioner. In al i went 8mo without a car due to my previous car being stolen and the q60 being in the shop.

Good advice bro, i had a similar situation aswell financing a g37 borrowing money from my 401k and all that. Listen i honestly would just stay away from them dealerships when buying an used car in general, overpriced and not going to know if it has issues. It just ain worthed it most of their used cars come from auctions either crashed or with problems that they get for not even half of what they be pricing them.

Keep it simple guys doesnt have to be overcomplicated. Im currently running a steering wheel lock as a theft deterrent. Paired with an ignition killswitch and your set. Only thing someone can do it tow the damn thing if they want it that bad.

I have had RT V2's and am now on Z1's. The RT's began to leak oil after 1 year, which is common for the stock turbo housings. The Z1's are more efficient, not as hard on your engine,(less backpressure) and more peak power potential. They also run good on pump 93 or E85, unlike the PURE hybrids. Right now, Z1 is the best option for power/streetability/reliability IMO.

Nice breakdown! The new Nissan Z brings speed and tech upgrades, but the 370Z’s simplicity and easier part access make it a solid choice for hardcore fans. Both have their strengths-it’s all about what you value more. Definitely a big decision for Z lovers!

I drive a 2018 BMW 330i twin power turbo for years now and I only use 0w-20 with no problems at all . Just 0w-20 is better than 5w-30 in extreme temperatures cold or hot also it increases gas mileage. 5w-30 is just heavier and thicker oil cheaper oil compared to 0w-20.

My redsports engine fucked up at 32,000 miles and I have a brand new ass engine in it and new turbos but it sucks cause after 60,000 miles I’m fucked !

Bunch of kids wanting a luxury sport car but don’t have any idea of how to maintain them. Replace all the young kids with car enthusiast who have some experience and age, and the 3.0t q50 would have a different reputation. These kids buy a q50/60 with 80k miles on it, and beat on the engine like crazy, do high revs on cold starts, not letting engine oil get to temp before doing pulls, not replacing oil, driving on E all the time, going out and racing hard and then shutting the engine off as soon as you get home and park. I’ve found that every person who says the 3.0t is unreliable is a person who doesn’t know how to maintain and care for their car. Drive any car with turbos that you want to consider a daily like a race car without proper maintenance and see how long it lasts.

It's all planned obsolescence. I used to work at the dealership, and quit back in 16 to work on bikes. Even the newer dirtbikes are smoking crankshaft bearings in 100-200 hours. Nothing is made for the long run anymore. That thermostat housing looks like a damn nightmare. Glad I'm not dealing with that anymore.
