Whole lotta red
@@luckybarraco7604 for sure
I was guilty of this like 8 years ago. I had red aftermarket battery tie down, radiator bracket, VTEC solenoid cover, grounding cables, intake filter, cam seal cap, oil cap, brake & clutch fluid sock covers, and all hoses. ALL RED. I went back and put every single thing back to stock or aftermarket black. There is nothing red under my hood anymore. All black. Even the intake pipe is black. LOL. One of the best things I ever did was undoing it all.
@@MichaelFlare lol. Yeah bro, it’s all in stages for some. I personally just like the clean oem or oem+ parts with maybe a powder coated valve cover.

Why does it need a filter ? ? what's the purpose?
@@Super5JRios these oil catch cans use a breather/filter since it’s usually under pressure. What happens is pressure builds inside the crank case and having this allows it to “catch” or “vent” the crank case and collect any oil that is being pushed through. If it were sealed, it would defeat the purpose of it and end up pushing oil through valves, exhaust etc.
Fucking beautiful, just can’t justify spending 50k+ on a civic
@@ilovelasagna5632 thank you. Yeah it’s pricey but in my opinion worth it. In today’s world, most cars are $35k+ so I see the value of spending a bit more for a performance car of this level.

@@agcrxturbo9577 how's the front windows seal?
@@819productionz4life front windows look alright. What I’m going to do is pull the headliner and top trim. Then have someone run the hose on top to see if I can find where it’s coming from. I’ll start with the top drain rails and then check by the windshield wiper area and pull the cowl to see under.
@@819productionz4life seals look fine. I think it may be from the wiper area. I found an old Honda bulletin that talked about leaking and needing reseal. I’ll be performing the maintenance needed if it’s leaking from there.

Ready to order my Sonic gray pearl FL5 2025 this week.. so psyched!
@@Daveyboy_RS3 nice. I have the Sonic Grey Pearl and love it.
@@agcrxturbo9577 lol I called it cyber Gray... I was going to get the championship white, but I find the paint on the gray to have a very nice thick lustrous shine to it... As if it looks much newer and cleaner than championship white. Almost like a turbo s type paint. And even though I like the slick look of the crystal black, it hides all the details like the fenders and etc so yeah... Sonic Gray Pearl definitely! Hope you're enjoying it!
@@Daveyboy_RS3 I originally wanted championship white but at the time it sold and they had the grey. Actually glad I went with the grey. If I could have any though, it would have been red.
@@agcrxturbo9577 I don't think you can go wrong with any color in the CTR. They're all going to hold their value and all look good. I'm so excited to go from an MK7 golf R DSG, which was great, but no motorsport car. However the MK-8.5 2025 Golf R does look great, and it's trick AWD system is fantastic as well. But I know that I'll have a lot more fun with the CTR. Time I go back to feeling a real sports car wrap around me with a fantastic manual gearbox and razor handling. I know the CTR is going to always be an event when I go for a drive, whereas the golf R, no matter how good it is, won't stay as exciting or engaging.
@@Daveyboy_RS3 I agree, can’t go wrong with the R. This is coming from someone who got rid of a 991.2 Porsche 911 PDK to get the type R. I really wanted a manual gearbox and don’t regret the decision. 👌🏽👌🏽
This might be a dumb question but how come there's so much wind noise if the windows are closed?
@@Daveyboy_RS3 great question, while driving, the driver window is down to point people by if needed. I apologize for the added wind noise, I’m working on getting a mic to help avoid that.
@@agcrxturbo9577 no apology necessary... I'm about to get an FL5 type R and I'm glad to hear that the window was open lol.
@@Daveyboy_RS3 lol, oh got it. With windows closed it’s fine. I will add that it was quieter with the OEM wheels. These tires are louder but it doesn’t bother me because “race car”. 😂
@@agcrxturbo9577 definite "race car" quietness... I'm here in Broward... I'm getting mine at Coral springs Honda. I haven't signed anything yet but The best I was able to get was $47,215 plus $2,000 markup. They started at a $10,000 markup and I negotiated them down to $2,000 markup but they won't budge from there. So it ends up being 53 and some change after tax tag and out the door. yo im gonna be buying my old manual integra coupe back and its got a b20 non vtec motor, any tips or recommendations on how or where to go to get it tuned and what id need?
@@Benji-h7v that’s exciting. If you’re in Fl, I can recommend my tuner. I have 2 different ones. What’s the current setup?
@@agcrxturbo9577 i used to live in florida in the panhandle but im in pa now, my dad is still in fl but that dont help any. i dont know every single thing but i plan on changing the full exhaust including the headers. idk what i wanna do motorwise yet but i know i wanna tune it. its got a b20z2 block and a normal non vtec head. aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, i think aftermarket fuel rail as well. it also has a half rad in it and the heater core was bypassed, idk why it is but im gonna unbypass it so that i can have heat
@@Benji-h7v a lot of tuners do remote tunes but requires you to go to a local shop with Dyno to work together. I’m sure you can find a tuner up north with ease and since it’s stock internals, it’s pretty hard to mess it up. What you’ll need is a tunable ECU. I’d say a Honda p28 (if u ever plan on going vtec, which I recommend) with a Hondata S300 installed will do the trick. You can do bigger injectors if u like and even switch to E85 if you’re trying to make more power but will require a different fuel pump and injectors usually.

@@agcrxturbo9577ive seen one built like this going for 86k. same te’s on and everything. it was pushing 430hp i think
but then again nobody wants a built type r like this. especially for a ridiculous price like that
@@colincirian this was built in my town and my buddy who’s a mechanic at Honda built it (he has a built FK8 type R himself). I can say the car is built right. All quality parts and the only thing in my opinion to justify the high price is the fact that the dealership is honoring the build. Meaning if something breaks, they’ll cover it. I don’t think $80k is worth that but to someone who wants a built type R, have warrantee and know that it’s done right, it might be. For me, I think at $68k-$70k it may be worth that piece of mind.
