First Rule of Flying, by Mal Reynolds

Captain Malcom Reynolds explains the first rule of flying to his new co-pilot, River Tam. "You know what the first rule of flying is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes h...
"My main man." "What?" "My main man..." Jesus dude, lol im not crying you are.
It's like they're saying good bye again like when Charlie was little, he was looking out a window. And funny how he remembered him as rain Man and now ray calls him main man
I just revisited the USS Dwight D Eisenhower the first time after last serving on her a decade ago. This quote is so true.
One of my favorite scenes of DS9.
Meanwhile on a nearby Romulan listening station: "Sir... for just a moment, I thought I heard... singing."
1:50 ❤
This movie are so beautiful, and Dustin hoffman its so fantastic in this role. I love this scene❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's Quark, as in Rom.
he does have a good point. surely, she must remember what it was like back then.
the Rain Man with his Main Man. I cry.
TEARJERKER
I'm different and people have treated me differently because of it. This scene is SO intense. Cry every time.
STREET FIGHTER II TURBO SNES KEN PUNCH DRAGON BATTLE
What made this scene even more touching is that Dustin Hoffman put his head on Cruise’s head. That’s not in the script. He knew that’s what he would do as a character. Thanks Mr. Hoffman!
The scene where Ray lean his forehead on Charlie's makes me bawl every single time.. Its very effective in touching the audience.
This scene never fails to touch my heart. As the back cover of the film said: “What began as an unsentimental act of rebellion became a journey of self discovery that expanded the narrow confines of Raymond’s world, and allowed Charlie to grow beyond the limits of his own hardened heart.”

The sad fact is he right things could have been a lot worst
Quark is such a good soul. He is deep into his Ferengi roots but also not blindly believe in them as he has seen it all, he retrospectively changes his views over time. This is how everyone should be.
My wifes cousin and aunt are like Rain Man but little different. They are incredibly nice and was nice to meet them.
One of the few movies which can make a grown man cry, the climax part hits hard tho😭
He destroyed her vagina right in front of Odo. NTR'd star trek style.
No entiendo porque este canal tiene pocos suscriptores después de mucho tiempo mereces más suscriptores amigo
I have a brother who is higher functioning than Ray and I have Aspergers. This scene always gets to me. Because I couldn’t imagine being in Charlie’s shoes in this scene.
Wasn’t it later revealed Quark secretly gave food and medicine to the Bajoran laborers on the station?
yes
This was a great way to highlight the relative virtues of the Dominion in comparison to the Cardassians. The Dominion could be ruthless and barbaric, but only when they felt they needed to be. Besides their totalitarianism, pragmatism is the Dominion's key feature. It is in their best interests that Bajor and its people are kept healthy, happy, and peaceful, and so they endeavour to make it so. Compare the cruelty and barbarity of the Cardassians, which stemmed from an unbridled sense of cultural and racial superiority, giving them leave to commit every heinous act they could fathom on their helpless 'inferiors'. The Jem'Hadar are creepy monsters bred for combat, but they practice none of the casual brutality of the Cardassians, because it's not in their masters' interest to do so. The Dominion will only do what is necessary, good or evil, to preserve their control. There's no hatred or contempt or pride in their actions.
Yeah, and that's a problem, and not just because people might rebel. If for any reason that those people can't control the Dominion finds itself incapable of preserving their control (for example, a regenerative disease in the Founders), the Dominion will think nothing of killing every single being under their care. The Cardassians wouldn't do that. They would be willing to cede some level of autonomy if necessary to preserve their sense of cultural and racial superiority. Also, the Founders have a MUCH greater sense of cultural and racial superiority than the Cardassians. The real difference is that the Founders were much more far-sighted in terms of acting on that cultural and racial superiority. They saw that the beings they subjugated needed a sense of identity and purpose, and gave it to them in a way that served their sense of cultural and racial superiority, like the Jem Hadar.
These two actors played an absolutely exceptional role. This scene made me cry my eyes out. It was so sweet seeing Charlie come around and actually love his brother. I just can't put into words the emotion i feel
Charlie and Raymond both show their character development in this brilliant, beautiful scene. Charlie shows a compassion and selflessness that he never had at the beginning of the film; he's learned to love Raymond and put his needs before his own. And there are little moments all throughout the scene that show Raymond's love for Charlie. Initially, Raymond does not like touching anyone or being touched; Vern says he has never touched him in the many years they've known each other. But here, not only does he allow Charlie to sit close to him, rub his back, and kiss his forehead without a single complaint or flinch - indicating that he feels safe with Charlie and trusts him - he INITIATES contact for the first time by touching his head to Charlie's, the only way he's able to say "I love you" to his brother. And at the end, he calls Charlie his main man and spells his name just like he did with Vern, indicating that Charlie has replaced Vern as his main man. Dr. Bruner and Charlie are both right in the end; Raymond is more comfortable and safe living at Wallbrook, but he indeed made a strong, deep connection with Charlie that will last the rest of their lives. What a beautifully written and acted scene in a magnificent film. Bravo.
Charlie is trying everything to change Raymond even slightly, but he is unaware that Raymond is changing him.
Look at the man in the blue shirt jacking off 🤣
“My main man, Charlie Babbitt.” That hit me like a truck
😢😢😢
This is acting
When Charlie kisses Ray ❤❤❤❤❤😊
Such an emotional scene... The music is so great....
My favorite scene of all movies.
I mean a man takes his retarded brother to go gamble in Vegas and then gets some money while leaving him in the care of vern
Scenes like this are why Quark is a top 5 char to me.
She knows what he about say but wants to hear it
And then New Trek happened. It got worse.
Quark is one of those people with a heart of gold but who quickly realized that the world is made of coal and for people like him to survive one needs to burry those feelings deep down and be as pragmatic as possible.
At first he saw a million dollar lottery ticket but after some hard learning he finally saw a big brother.
He's happy that everyone is now a potential paying customer. No one is too poor to afford to be a patron.
Most beautiful scene in the whole movie
Awee man, just shattered my emotions meter.
This scene will make any man with a brother that he is close with go from John Wayne to Jessica Tandy in 1:42
I have watched this clip many times and as others pointed out so others will know. 0:46 Quark with those ferangi ears are very sensitive and can hear very well...
Hello To Everyone From California
When the Asian kid joins the battlefield
He's not wrong.
Aww the best part is right after this clip ends. Odo acknowledged Quark and says that he is right.
Your not a man if you don't choke up from this
