How to go to confession in a Catholic church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of Catholicism's seven sacraments. Most Catholic's go at least once a year, but as a convert I tend to go more often. I find going to confession to be a real blessing. This video describes my method of how to go to confession.

RCIA - How to join the Roman Catholic Church
Welcome home!
Well, I guess I must be a child at heart then. Like so many people I know.
My question: Were you not trusting in Christ for salvation before turning to the Catholic Church? Why not, when the gospel of Christ is for ALL? Why were you needing to “take action”, as opposed to simply trusting and resting in Christ and what He accomplished for you on the cross? Trusting in Christ and resting in His finished work for eternal salvation is all that God asks of anyone, regardless of what they identify as; Protestant, Charismatic, Catholic, etc, etc,….. Eternal salvation is received on an individual bases. It has nothing to do with our identifying as……Catholic. The gospel of Christ is revealed to us IN THE BIBLE. It’s the indwelling Holy Spirit that does the work inside a born again Christian, not the Catholic church.
Denominations not Religions
why not study and follow God's Word, Sir? It proves catholicism isn't Christianity.
This train of thought always amazes me, knowing that prior to the 1500s all you had was Catholicism pure Christianity. Then comes the spawn of Protestanism and you have the audacity to say Catholics are not Christian. Unbelievable!
@@cruznature7545 sincere question, Sir: how can anyone consider catholicism is Christianity when it doesn't obey God's Word? Christians imitate Christ -- see Luke 4:16 & John 15:10 Christians obey & love Christ -- see John 14:15 that's more than sufficient to prove my original post. thanks for reading, Sir!
Happy you’re a Catholic now … however would be good if you give your full name for the benefit of people who don’t know you or your channel. All I heard was “Matt” … Matt who?? Was looking at the video description but nothing there too 😢
why would you be happy for a person to follow lies? catholicism isn't Christianity, friend.
Great story and beautifully told. Thank you for your perspective.
Beautiful story 🙏
Glory to Jesus.
I was touched by your story. When you mentioned about Adoration and love, I cried. You are more catholic than me. You made a great preaching with your personal testimony. Continue your work for God's glory!
the toucfully testimony, God not to be thought but to be felt.❤❤
No such thing as a perfect church. The Roman church heirachial system is dogmatically entrenched and the same is with Islam and Judaism a chain of traditions of immans and rabbinical authority. Catholic church had the most influential forgery of the Donation of constantine long before the prosperity churches. The wealth and property and jurisdiction over princes was just as evil. The influential Erasmus and Luther and Dante, knew about the forged document and the Catholic narrative of the reformation ommitted that fact.
Thank you very much for sharing. Am a Catholic i believe the Marian apparition, they are logical, reason, meaningful, peaceful, loving ect. İ personally did a little research and i found are very amaizıng i love them❤❤ the Catholic Church is very rich All the apparition have similar massages and can be proved biblical!! Example our Lady of Guadalupe,Fatima, Las Lajas, Louders France, Kibeho in Rwanda etc, Our beloved Mother prove that God with us. İ can't get tired to listen this apparitions. İ came to realize that Mary was among the disciples and Apostles who received the holy spirit in Jerusalem. She is continuing to spread the gospel all over the world. All most all continent received the apparition of Mary ❤❤
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 7:21-8:1
can't be Christian and catholic - they are opposite each other.
Beautiful testimony. God bless you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
That's the problem, you're trying to substitute the Holy Spirit with saints. Every believer in Christ Jesus is a saint because we are no longer slaves to sin, and there are enough living saints right here on Earth to ask for prayer. Reaching across into the realm of the spirit to try and contact dead human beings without God initiating it is called a necromancy, Deuteronomy 18. Any Christian who has a background in witchcraft in the occult will warn you that this is dangerous. The holy spirit is the source of our deep spiritual experience and intimacy with God. He is the source of our spiritual gifrs and miracles.. I have prayed for people and saw them healed because I allowed Jesus to baptize me with the Holy Spirit. I asked God to speak to me through prophecy, visions and dreams and he couldn't wait to pour it on and not once have I uttered a word of prayer to any deceased saint. The holy spirit is more than enough.
Please read your bible and see how biblical this man’s story is

Worship Christ and pray to God in His name and no other. Not Mary or dead Saints. The more you increase the name of Mary, the more you Decrease the Name of Jesus. Catholicism is based in Goddess Worship. This is something God will not accept. By becoming Catholic you have rejected Jesus Christ. You are not Saved because of your Works, you are Saved because of the Work Jesus did and He said it was finished 0n that Cross.
Jesus started Catholic church. Take RCIA
@@johnyang1420 If Mary was the "Mother of us all" or "The Queen of Heaven" or The "Mediatrix", Don't you think Jesus or His Apostles would have told us? Wouldn't they all have known? Why keep such a thing from us? None of this about Mary is in the Scripture. Read the New Testament for yourself. You won't find "Purgatory" in there either. The answer is Neither Jesus nor His Apostles or even God Himself ever mentioned Mary as being anything other than The Mother of Jesus is because she wasn't and isn't. What you're doing is an affront to Jesus. I urge you to believe what the Bible Says and not what the Roman Catholic Church says the Bible says. The Roman Catholic Church's doctrine is the Antithesis of Christianity. The only thing worse than a Wolf in Sheep clothing, is a Wolf in Shepard's Clothing. My friend, Check everything with Biblical Scripture to have what you are told verified by the Word of God. It's the only way to find the Truth.
Some pastors go as far as ask for $10000, they promise to pray and those people would become millionaires. 🤦
Prosperity gospel at work! I dont like it!
I can see the peaceful joy in your eyes. Welcome to the Body of Christ! The angels are singing.
What your saying doesn't make sense.
God bless you sir Amen 🙏
wonderful to hear your story. thanks be to God for His graces, and thank you for sharing :)
Great message. I see it's been a while since you've uploaded content, hope all is well with you.
PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY AS IF YOUR ETERNAL “LIFE” DEPENDED ON IT In the Book of Hebrews Chapter 10, in context, the author was talking to “baptized” Christians (Hebrews 10:22) telling them to not be “neglecting to meet together” in “the Church” - being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. Why “the Church”??? ***Hebrews 10:26-29 “For IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY after receiving knowledge of the truth, THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT, AND A FURY OF FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES………..HOW MUCH MORE PUNISHMENT DO YOU THINK WILL BE DESERVED BY THE MAN WHO HAS SPURNED THE SON OF GOD, AND PROFANED THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT BY WHICH HE HAS SANCTIFIED, AND OUTRAGED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE”.*** What does Sacred Scriptures clearly say “IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY” or willfully break any of the commandments whether the old (10 Commandments) or NEW (Laws of LOVE or refusing to LOVE as Christ commands per John 13:34)??? If “THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT”, then how does one obtain reconciliation with GOD again??? We must examine the old covenant to fully understand the NEW COVENANT. In Leviticus 5:5-6 and Numbers 5:5-9 we understand what an old covenant Jew had to do to receive GOD's forgiveness. Additionally, GOD in the Books of Leviticus and Numbers any time personal “sin” is even mentioned you will read over and over again “THUS THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT FOR A MAN’S SINS AND IT WILL BE FORGIVEN” (Lev 4:20, 4:26, 4:31,4:35, 5:6, 5:10, 5:13, 5:16, 5:18, 6:7, 7:7, 12:8, 14:18, 14:19, 14:20, 14:29, 14:31, 15:15, 15:30, 16:32, 16:33, 19:22 Num. 6:11,15:25, and 15:28). In the old covenant, GOD clearly uses ordained “men”, the Leviticus Priesthood, to administer His forgiveness. Now, does GOD keep His WORD and covenant promises??? GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood per His covenant in Numbers 25:12-13 and Malachi 2:4-7 and has WORDS of “forever” in Exodus 29:7-9, 40:15, and 1 Chronicles 23:13. Then, GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood in Jeremiah 33:14-22 NEW COVENANT PROPHECY. And, in context of “gathering the nations” in Isaiah 66:18 GOD states in Isaiah 66:21 “some of them also I will take for priests”, meaning no longer based on Levi tribal lineage in the NEW COVENANT. In John Chapter 13, we see Jesus Christ fulfilling His Father’s Levi Covenant promise and Malachi 3:3 prophecy, when He sits down in the upper room “purifying” the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD with a “washing”. This “washing” was a “forever” priestly liturgical GOD command in Exodus 30:21- in order to perform any altar work or sacrifice. What “same” power does the Son of GOD give to His ONE and ONLY established Church or “the Church” per Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and specifically explained to the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD by Jesus in John 20:21-23??? In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 St. Paul describes what Jesus Christ did was He “GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION” and concluded “SO WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST”. An “ambassador” wields what kind of power as an “official representative” of Christ or more specifically explained in “the Church” as “persona Christi”??? Please come or return to your real home and be “reconciled” to “the Church” HIS ONE BODY (Ephesians 4:4-6). What did Jesus Christ create, pray for in John 17:21-23 and die for??? If you really LOVE Jesus Christ, then you will respond to His prayer and join the “ONENESS” that He created. The “Lamb of GOD” wants to unite with you in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) in His ONE and ONLY established Church, so we all can be “perfectly ONE”. May GOD richly bless you on your journey.
Thank you for joining the true faith
I love my Catholic belief more and more because of you guys. But I am so much in love of Eucharistic adoration. Can’t wait every weekend.
thank you the i didnt know other churches how they do confession
Who cares many leave their respective church. What's new. Same in non religious beliefs, many start thinking they have the correct beliefs. Thats reality, why you think the Roman papacy' is the true church.
Thank you for this video.
Thank you for this video.
Thank you for making this video.
Conversion to hell *^
Actually….it might be the opposite. Catholic church states: “There is no salvation outside the Catholic church”. Take RCIA to learn about the Catholic church that Jesus started.
@po18guy no troll catholic doctrine on salvation can't save you it's a works based salvation
The incense?
Amen🙏🙏🙏
Serious question. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 Says that the dead do not know anything. Psalms 115:17 says the dead do not praise the Lord. There are many bible verses to share but The Bible teaches the dead are sleeping in the ground. Therefore praying to the saints would be like praying to the dead. They can't hear us, they are sleeping. Remember Lazarus...he was dead, yet Jesus referred to him as sleeping. And Jesus resurrected him. John 11:11-14 I believe the saints will be in heaven. They are saints. Especially Mary, she will most definitely be in heaven. But She is not in heaven now. She is sleeping in the ground. Daniel 12:2 "multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and contempt." Remember when Stephen was getting stoned to death. Acts 7:60 "and he kneeled down, cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to there charge. And when he had said this , he fell asleep. Death is a sleep. Genesis 2:7 teaches us that the breath of God plus A lifeless body becomes a soul. We do not have a soul. We are a soul. Is it possible that Marian apparitions are not actually Mary but something else pretending to be Mary? I mean no harm. I come in peace. I cast no shade on anyone. Just a believer who hopes to see you in heaven. God bless you all.
Catholics believe that saints are alive in Heaven. Catholics have given Mary and saints the same power as Jesus Christ.
Your videos are so inspiring to us faithful Catholics. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing your testimony. God bless 🙏🙏🙏
If a spiritual entity is trying to frighten you for no apparent reason, then it probably shouldn't be considered a benevolent one. JPB
Congratulations
Any time one decides to gothe sacrament of confession and receive absolution one's sins is never easy, for one has to really think about what is confessing. And yes after wards you feel the peace of God.
Thank You Sir,for sharing your experience as a Catholic, wellcome home! I became a catholic in 2008 and it's been a beautiful journey.
I was born Catholic but as an adult just didn’t agree with the praying to the Saints or Virgin Mary I also was put off by the child abuse. At same token I am turned off by the evangelical prosperity gospel too . I definitely don’t agree with the current pope and won’t think of being Catholic until he’s no longer the pope
Dear friend, I am a revert to the Church. I made the decision after much study and prayer. The Catholic Church is the one and only true faith of God, which He wills all men to come to. Delaying entrance into the Church because you don't like the Pope is a silly, and soul-threatening thing, you're literally playing with fire. As St. Augustine says, he cannot have God for his Father who has not the Church for his mother. And also, when you see things like child abuse, remember that true Catholics and Catholic teaching are very clear on that: IT IS A GRAVE AND HEINOUS SIN! If you want to judge the Church by the fruits, well dear friend, read about the lives of the saints. Here are my recommendations: St. Francis of Assisi, St. John Bosco, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Therese Lisieux. These people lived what they professed, unlike the priests who hold Mass and preach and the next day rape a child. Lord Jesus, have mercy on them that do such things, and have mercy on us all, the whole world, for we all are sinners in need of You.
I enjoyed your testimony. I was just received into the church on Easter. Confession was amazing! Thank God for this wonderful sacrament. But communion is my favorite! To receive the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ..knowing that He lives within me gives me a grace I cannot explain. He strengthens me, loves me, and I know Him. The beauty of Catholicism is everywhere. The puzzle pieces all fit together. It all makes sense. I was like you and was living with pain and guilt from all my sins. Though I asked Jesus directly to forgive me, the weight never truly lifted until I went to my first confession. There’s something to saying your sins out loud to another person. Actually hearing, “you are absolved”, is a glorious feeling! Glory to God!
Good information
Welcome.
Good luck Matt.
Welcome home!
I enjoyed your testimony. I go to my first confession this Saturday and I cannot wait to feel the peace you’ve described. Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless you!
