@@MK-vi2cm Well said. I think it's a big issue of the fact that The Tekken Team hasn't made a Meter System before so there's bound to be growing pains on the face of it. I agree with you about the Heat Engager Run-Up as that's clearly the worst part about the Game and is where a lot of the "Casino Gameplay" Accusations do have a leg to stand on. I don't hate the idea of a forced 50/50 if it only happens once but certain Characters get so much out of a forced 50/50. It's why Kazuya is doing well in this Meta despite the fact that his Character Design hasn't done well at Top Level for years. Tekken 7 wasn't a bad Game, but it FELT misadvertised as a 3D Fighting Game because Maining a Non-Waifu Character was akin to Maining Jack or Bears in 8 (This is an exaggeration, but that's how I felt)

The movement is almost as good as Tag 2 again. It's just a 2 steps forward 1 step back situation with the fact that the heat enagage tracking and phantom hitbox stuff makes the game feel as bad as T7 on it's worst days sometimes. @@avatardeponei8204 Making it only +1 or 0 is a good change as well. If that's the case Drag could still Wake Up the Opponent with Chip Damage and Ground Hitting Properties, but it wouldn't be a brutal Situation for the other Player to fight out from. I think your idea is worth exploring. 🤔👍

@@kylefields3951 drag used to work more with his throws before, but now they don't give you oki anymore, so qcf4 covers it for oki and combo ender, in open space the move is ok, but at the wall it's just brutal, definitely need to be nerfed

I never thought about that, but actually that might be a really good way to balance it. 🤔 With your Design, play patterns could end up like this: If the Dragunov Player wants to get greedy and Hit Grounded with high Damage, Wakeup-> Low Block would Cover Dragunov's Hatchet Kick. If they wanted to get greedy on their Wakeup and do Chip and +Frames on the same Timing, Wakeup-> Low Block would also Cover that. Very interesting. It would actually give scrutiny to Dragunov's Wakeups and make it to where he actually has to Outplay the opponent's Wakeup scenario in order to land a greedy-type decision. This theory you came up with has merit I think.👍

You're right. I found out about this. It looks like they used Guy Perryman who recorded the in-game lines for Tekken 5 all the way until 7. It's been Gideon Emery recording the character's dialogue in cutscenes and such since Tekken 6, but for 8, it seems they've now committed to replacing Guy Perryman's voice lines In-Game.

I also totally agree about the Tekken storyline. It actually has some really cool elements to it, but most of the interesting storytelling is related to the side characters, or the soft Magic System revolving around The Devil and how one acquires Devil Powers as well as antagonists like Jinpachi, Ogre, and Azazel.

Dude, super sick and well developed comment. I'm not an essay channel, I just had something to say. Maybe I will do more stuff like this, maybe I won't. I just wanted to do this video because I've never done stuff like this before and I wanted to get a little bit more experience in editing. Thanks for enjoying it so much that you looked at my other uploads. If I do more, most of it would be writing theory, not like story analysis/breakdowns. I'm not opposed to doing those, I just think I have a lot more to say about how to write action, than how to appreciate narrative, because everyone gets something different out of fiction when they consume it. And maybe I'm being full of myself but I feel like a lot of movie/series analysis is full of people that are pretentious and are making a lot of assumptions of what the authors/directors are trying to say. Gohan's transformation is a good moment, I agree.

You should obviously follow your heart and what makes you vibe. I'd be personally interested in writing theory, but you shouldn't produce stuff for the audience (any kind). Audience gather around people that have their own voice. My point about making a second channel was that people coming across your videos by chance might not understand what your channel is about because it's so diverse (I'm also saying it to myself since my channel is completely random, yet I think it's something to be heard). I agree with your view of the movie/series analysis scene on YT, most are what you describe, but by looking carefully you find some gems (such as this video). You cannot avoid making assumptions about the author's will, yet it is important to take some gloves when doing it and try to have the most objective pov possible. One thing about the Dragon Ball manga that make it stand out in the shonen scene (and that makes the anime so unwatchable) is its incredible pacing and non-stop action that is a blast to read and re-read over and over. A volume of DB can be read in minutes thanks to the readability, the added time you give to it being about pondering the emotions you go through. I would suggest to you the channel @BDmancy (english version of the french channel @BDmancie ), that treated similar subjects about visual storytelling. Peace :)
