I have an RX 7600, so I can answer this, 30-40fps without the mod or a pretty constant 60 with the mod both at 1080p, with the mod you can hit 1440p at 30-40fps as well

@@samdeo573 Downloads on steam don't work if MSync is enabled in your bottle configuration settings, for some reason. Set it to 'none' in order to download things.

This is actually without the AMD mod, with the AMD mod it would be hitting 60fps, we just haven't made a video on it yet

@@dolanthefacc879 This was on an old driver, so it's before AMD even improved their Raytracing in recent drivers, For Minecraft RTX, haven't tried it in a while, might be interesting for a future video

Support for older GPUs and APUs is planned, it might take a while due to not having the hardware or testers at the moment, Alpha versions will be released soon for testing

The v1.1 version will have a fix. It'll automatically go to the dev menu in the update. It's an issue where going to the graphics menu reverses some config changes

Yes, we tested an RX 6600xt, so the RX 6650xt should technically work better

That's because Prelude uses different conf files, so mixing and matching won't work, Currently looking into it, testing it on Steam Deck at the moment

It was very simple, we tweaked some settings for RDNA 2 and then patched the code for RDNA 3 with newer code provided by the Nvidia remix devs, also AMD has been improving pathtracing performance which helps out a bit. Linux performs better because it has driver support for Portal RTX while Windows doesn't, which is also why we had to patch it. And Nvidia has actually been helping improve performance for AMD and Intel, I think the reason it was terrible at launch is because they only developed for RTX cards at the time and there was zero driver support since it was brand new tech.

Depends on the preset you use, but on the RX 7600 tested, it went from 1080p 40fps to 1080p 60+ fps, currently working on a performance video for better detail

At the moment it's only for Windows, but Linux support is planned for a update, currently even looking into GPUs that can emulate RT such as the RX 5000 series

We only had a 6700 to test, but we did make a low preset for cards like the 6600 that you can try, Quake 2 rtx is being researched at the moment

If you have a RDNA 3 card, you have the option for alt x, this is because the ultra performance presets are optional for RDNA 3

It would probably be best to wait until x86 emulation and the Vulkan extensions to run DXVK and Proton are implemented in the Vulkan driver for Asahi Linux. If there is nothing preventing display controllers from connecting to the headset, then it would work there for sure. MacOS will probably never be a good option for PCVR as there are no native Metal pcvr games and MoltenVK is a buggy implementation of Vulkan that, plus the fact that SteamVR is deprecated. ALVR has been in talks regarding its support in Asahi Linux but have yet to test it due to the lack of extensions and x86 emulation as it stands

You're right. It's 30fps now, and we can't really do anything about the TAA-U artifacts, FSR mods don't work with Nvidia Remix at the moment, NIS doesn't suffer artifacts but it doesn't clean up the pixels like TAA-U, and the resolution is better than before, it use to upscale to 480p but now that it's upscaling to 800p/900p it can now retain detail and clarity better

No they can not. The GTX 10 series do not have ray tracing hardware. Those video cards can never run this game. There is no amount of "Software trickery" to make it work either. You must have a video card with ray tracing hardware or you can not run raytracing games.

@@Sabrinahuskydog It can be done, as Nvidia allowed DXR ray tracing after AMD put it on their 5000 series cards, it just will not end up with as good results as fewer rays can be bounced, and some lighting calculations will need to fall back to traditional pre - baked or dynamic lighting. Given what @nightsightproductions has done with this already, it is entirely feasable that it could be done, just would be very hard.

@@Policepigeon Unfortunately no. What you just wrote is not true. Video cards can not run raytracing games without ray tracing hardware. RX 5000 series AMD cards and Nvidia GTX 1000 series video cards do not have ray tracing hardware. They can "try" to "emulate" it in software but it will never run correctly. To have a proper ray tracing experience in ray tracing games the video card MUST have the hardware for it.

Unfortunately, AMD has yet to add Windows support for Remix, and this patch is for the Linux drivers, which have added support
