In this video we cut a slatted roll up door in a somewhat unconventional manner. Factors that led us to use this option for cutting this door were:
*Wind tabs on every slat because theses doors were located in a beach front community. This keeps the slat from pulling out of the channel.
*door was double sided and insulated due to it leading into a mercantile area.
Like many things there are multiple options to cut these style doors. We chose to use the 3 vertical cuts because they are quick and would allow us to pull the top slat allowing the bulk of the door to fall. As always clear the debris of your cut so it doesn’t turn into a trip hazard or a possible cutting hazard for the hose line...
