Is this real? Like, it was actually aired back in the late 90s, and not created only a while ago with modern remix technology? I really do hope it's real, because it would mean I'm not crazy. I haven't heard this song since 2002 or something like that, so I might be imagining things after 20 years of not hearing it... But when I searched for it on YT and clicked on the "original version", it sounded... not right to me. I searched for other versions but they sounded even more wrong - very disco vibe in all of them. I remember this song sounding like THIS, here: with a soft rock vibe. I swear that this is how I remember it being played on Polish radio station Trójka. The station was rock-oriented, so it fits. What makes me scratch my head and doubt my own senses is the note saying that this is a rare edit. Would a radio station in an almost-third-world country have access to a rare version back then..? And play it constantly instead of the OG one..? Weird! Thanks for uploading this, I gotta ask my friends if they also remember it sounding like this.

I don't consider this the "rare, alternate" version. To me, this is the original version that I heard back in '96 on the radio. This is the version I loved and couldn't get enough of, before it was redone with all those background vocals and other "enhancements".
