As an Irish person I kind of disagree (no offence to the haters and the Irish viewers who knew we weren’t gonna qualify that night) because even though Connor (the lead singer) was wearing a 70’s jumpsuit and didn’t sing half the chorus. There would have been a chance we would have qualified. and I have seen comments saying it should have been Connolly with her song “midnight summer night” should have been chosen on the late late show (how we chose our song this year) but in my opinion even if Connolly did go for it. We probably wouldn’t have qualified anyway. Now this is just my opinion if anyone has the same opinion. That’s fine I’m not forcing anyone to not hate it. just my thoughts and opinions

I'm gonna be the devil's advocate and propose the exact opposite: 1) showing a middle finger is on her and it's actually kinda cool, she didn't event need to say she didn't mean it, she did mean it and who cares; 2) Évidement is mediocre, I'm a huge fan of chanson française but that's the most mediocre example of it, letting down the whole genre.

I dont know why people are moaning. Duncan and Jamala won neither vote but won the whole contest. I actually think getting 243 points with no 12 points at all is really impressive. Sweden still come 2nd in the televote so not like she wasn't popular. Equally coming 4th with the juries with a song like Finland's is easily awesome too.
