Just started playing through the MW4 games again. These games are such great nostalgia. I know everyone's favorite is Mercs, but I enjoy them all.

If only I could get the damn thing running on windows 10. Tried everything and am currently most of the way through playing Mechwarrior 3 Pirate's Moon after finishing Mechwarrior 3 instead of playing my preferred Mechwarrior 4. Can't get Mech 2 to run either. What next? Mechwarrior 5? No thanks, I play these games for entertainment not to be sent to sleep.

I loved Mechwarrior. My problem with 3.1 was that there were too many mechs. Overkill. And if I remember right, the installation wiped out all of the mech configs you had prior to the install and altered some of the pre-existing mechs enough so that you could never configure them the same way again. I did enjoy MekTek's map packs prior to this update though.

I know one thing. Hearing those different lasers rapidly firing back and forth with that music playing is really cool. I also have only a few personal preferences. All Mechs look Cool to me so I ask this.... What sort of Mech Pilot would you prefer to be? A. A Mech Mercenary who's in it for the money, good or bad. B. A Mech Pilot who Fights in a Mech Clan (And if so, which Clan do you choose?) Or C. A leader who helps fight for a noble cause to protect innocent civilians in a Mech Lance Team.

I miss single player mech games that concentrate heavily on the single player aspect. Online versions are just a whole bunch of people who are generally a lot better at the game than you are and you spend the whole time being battered. It gets boring very quickly and so I just don't buy online. Mechwarrior 1-4 were great and it is why they sold so well. The new Mech games leave me absolutely frigid.
