Final Student Film Project: Ranbu
This is my final film project from 2017 for my Bachelor of Animation and Interactive Media at RMIT.
Instead of a story based film, I decided to animate a music video to a Japanese themed track. It's a somewhat surreal take on the aesthetics of Japan that incorporates some aspects of the culture that I experienced myself during my travels there.
I chose the Japanese word「乱舞」Ranbu for the title because it translates to "boisterous dance," which I believe encapsulates the overall feel of my music video.
I put my blood, sweat and tears into this project and I'm glad I can finally show it!
I really want to thank all of my friends, family and instructors for all of the support they gave me throug...

Wonderful video! I dont know if it was intentional but the beginning is so perfect for the manga moment when the "10000 years of suffering" began, I don't know if apollo gave you the gift of prophecy but it just makes this video even more special

this is SO COOL the way light seems to go through every shard of gem and cracked gemstone is phenominal, the way the shards magnify each other as they go behind each other in the beginning sequence is flawless, the way this is all tied together with a simple orchestral musuc is simply amazing, the art is pulled off together so well because of how much colour and abstarct light and refractions from the gems hair is made, all tied together with the impact that this is all drawn on a plain black backround makes this all the more beautifull and makes the clours stands out more. well done creator, youve truly made a master peice and i hope to see more from you
