Hyper Tough Compressor comes back to life? Episode 5
After having some trouble presetting the pressure I am somehow able to preset the pressure to 30psi. The compressor at first seems to remain stuck at 30 psi then it shuts itself off for a successful test. Possibly it si fully functional and I just don't know how to operate the preset properly.

Hyper Tough Compressor comes back to life? Episode 4
Просмотров 1014 дней назад
The Hyper Tough Compressor actually pumps up a tire! But, it doesn't seem to shut off after reaching the set point. One problem here was I think I hadn't tightened the connector to the valve stem tight enough so that maybe some air was leaking out there. Then it seemed to maybe only barely make it to 35psi so maybe that was why it didn't shut itself off. It turned out the spec for the tire pres...

    First let me say I love this video, please make more. I am looking forward to seeing what else you have on your channel. I love that you pulled it all apart and explained everything. It's obvious that Honeywell did NOT want this device repaired. I'm just wondering what the time, money, & effort cost is compared to the money and time it would take to simply purchase a new one. I too hate throwing things away due to a tiny electronic part, but it sounds like if you are going to do this right you need the following: • a flat surface with enough space for the job at hand • good lighting as there are many angles inside the device • multimeter • masking tape • pencil and paper (for making notes) • small wire snips • small needle nose pliers • small (not tiny) long neck philips screwdriver • flathead screwdriver • small wire strippers • an X-acto knife • small machine lubricant / oil • heat shrink tubes • thermal fuse • thermal paper (to safely secure the copper coiling) • a soldering iron • solder • a fan (to remove the toxic fumes while soldering) But hey, Your health, your choice. • Plastic paint or fingernail polish in the wire's colors for markings what plastic hole they came out of. (red, black, yellow, white, green, & blue) And the knowledge on how to use them for this situation. If you don't have these things in your tools or work bench it would be MUCH cheaper and faster to just scrap it and pick up a new one. Either that or use this video, and some other similar videos, to teach your kids how to use the aforementioned tools and equipment to test where the problem is located, single out the issue (in case there are more than one problem) and do this repair.

    *QUESTION: IF EXPANSION TANK IS GETTING FILLED --BEFORE FAILURE, CAN YOU REMOVE THE TANK, TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, DRAIN THE WATER, REPRESSURIZE BLADDER TO CORRECT PRESSURE, THEN REINSTALL??*

    • @anthonylewis8733
      @anthonylewis8733 21 день назад

      No, if you can drain water from it then that is the proof that the bladder inside ruptured. That expansion tank would need replacement.

  • @PostUp_Time
    @PostUp_Time 3 месяца назад

    *USE A NORMAL TIRE GAUGE ON BOTTOM OF EXPANSION TANK TO CHECK THE PRESSURE. SIMPLY PUSHING IN VALVE TO HEAR AIR TELLS YOU NOTHING. PLUSE IF YOU REPRESSURIZE YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW MUCH PRESSURE YOU PUMPED IN. USE THE TIRE GAUGE*

  • @PostUp_Time
    @PostUp_Time 3 месяца назад

    *ALSO, THE BLADDER IN THESE TANKS BREAK AND LEAK. IF YOU SEE RUST AROUND THE JOINT OF THE TANK, YOUR BLADDER AND TANK ARE LEAKING AND MOST LIKELY COMPLETELY FILLED WITH WATER* VERY HEAVY TO REMOVE, HOLD ON TIGHT WHEN UNSCREWING, 40 POUND DROP

  • @PostUp_Time
    @PostUp_Time 3 месяца назад

    *MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A STRANGER STRAP TO HOLD UP THE WEIGHT OF THE EXPANSION TANK. THEY GET VERY, VERY HEAVY. EXAMPLE, A GALLON OF WATER WEIGHS 8 POUNDS AND THE TANK HOLDS 4 GALLONS, PLUS WEIGHT OF THE TANK.* *ABOUT 40 POUNDS CAN BE HANGING ON THOSE PIPES!!*

  • @ranger178

    that device on main pipe next where half inch line connects to the right is an air Seperator for system so it would remove air in circulating water it should have an automatic vent on top to let the air out. you could get some air up in some upstairs pipe if you don't have automatic vents so you should check one of the highest radiators manual vents to see if any air comes out once in a while.

  • @ranger178
    @ranger178 5 месяцев назад

    if your system has automatic vents the air that leaks from tank will just get bled from system as it collects at high points usually the best test is to see if pressure on the boiler gauge goes up a lot as boiler heats up from cold to full temperature it will go from what the autofill filled it to 12 or 15 psi and climb as boiler heats up till it goes over 30 and releases pressure out that side pipe on the pressure relief valve which should run down to within 6 inches of floor. sometimes your system pressure can be too high because the auto fill valve has dirt in it or is worn out and whole system will climb up steadily till it blows relief valve. you can put a tire pressure gauge on the air valve and see if you have around 12 to 15 psi and newest tanks have a water has gotten to the cap feature where it changes color when diaphragm ruptures. it would tell you in little instructions attached to valve when bought.

    • @richcastle

    • @ranger178
      @ranger178 5 месяцев назад

      they are normally inflated to 12 to 15 psi to match what the boiler system pressure runs at the automatic fill valve will say on it what it is supposed to fill to but sometimes they malfunction and put in to much water also.

    I also have an Aquasource and had the running water issue. I turned the fill valve 45 degrees counterclockwise to unlock the height of the fill valve. I adjusted the height of the fill valve two clicks down and turned it 45 degrees clockwise to lock it back into place. Problem solved. I wouldn't have thought of turning it if it were for this video, so thank you.

    The green light is on because when the alarm is activated it initiates a fail safe relay that runs the pump as if the manual run switch is depressed. With the alarm light still on and the pump not running it means the motor itself or the contactor is bad.

    The replacement part in this video only lasted 2 years so I am trying another one from amazon. Repairwares Gas Range/Oven Igniter 316489400 316428500 IG94 AP3963540 316428501 5304462661 PS1528534 1197384 7316489400 IG9400 (Flat Style Ignitor) for $30. My suspicion is that all the aftermarket ignitors seem to look so similar that they are probably made in the same factory. So I am not expecting anything better on this one but I am taking a chance since I should get it the Tuesday before Thanksgiving while the searsdirect model will come the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

    Hi @mrdavetrouble, I know this video is 4 years old but we are considering getting one of these E/One systems. We were wondering if there was a sewer odor at all that came from the top of the lid where you have the pump. We'd have to put ours like right in the front of our house and we didn't want to smell odors anytime we went outside. Also, what is your overall opinion of the system, any major issues? Thanks!

    • @Malamba4231
      @Malamba4231 29 дней назад

      I’m not an installer, but we have one of these E-one pumps. No, if everything is working correctly, there should be no odor. If you smell sewage, you may have a leak. We had a leak in our discharge pipe due to poor installation. The sewer repair crew told me E-one makes high quality, low maintenance pumps. Hope this helps. Adding this to my comment…never ever put anything down the toilet except water, human waste, and toilet paper. No paper towels, no “flushable wipes”, nothing. That stuff will clog your pump and create a sewage disaster. There are videos here on RUclips that show the results of putting stuff into the grinder pump that shouldn’t go there.
