Putrid AI
They Germans in the long run stayed free ...compare to the brits
AI produced garbage.
I love the lead sling bullets they used that had the whistling hollow built into them. When fired in mass it would create a horrific screaming whistle effect sailing towards the enemy and then a bunch of men would drop or howl out in pain. I could see that being greatly enhanced by silence leading up to the first volley.
The more I get older the more bad ass the Roman army seems to me
Roman machine was "one of the best" not the best
Yes. End of story.
this entire script is stolen from an Invictus video, sham channel
Nothing will intimidate another human more than remaining calm in the face of certain doom.
When a Gaul scream out to the Roman army for a champion willing to challenge him to decide the outcome of the war, Titus Manlius went to the Consul and said: "Without your command, O commander, I would never fight outside my post, not even if I saw that victory was certain. If you grant it to me, I would like to give proof to that beast who now acts so bold before the enemy's standards that I descend from that family that drove the Gauls from the Tarpeian Rock." Order and discipline, the true strength of the Roman army.
The most practical reason for silence: you can't give or hear orders when everyone is shouting and making noise. It's hard enough as it is to hear with a helmet on. You need the silence to hear maneuver orders.
Does this dude voice every history channel now? I'm fucking sick of it
Great Video!
Vote Brexit. You know it makes sense.
Can't you ask a German how to pronounce 'Teutoburg' correctly ? ? ?
I have successfully used this strategy 2 times in potentially violent situations. It also helps to slightly tuck your chin and look through your forehead. It worked on 4 BNP members in the 80’s. After making my girlfriend and I jump out of the road, while they headed straight at us, on the wrong side of the back road, in Bethnal Green 100 meters from their head office. I was so pissed I stood in the middle of the road and gave them the finger. The cars screeched to a halt with smoking tyres 40 meters away and 4 skinheads got out. The strategy surprisingly worked and doubt set in. They stopped walking towards me turned and drove off. I never said a word, they must thought either I’m a cop or trained enough to take them on. It was pure bluff and a bit of stupidity on my part. As soon as the car went round the corner we sprinted home, as I didn’t have a Roman legion behind me.
These AI channels have to stop.
Excellent video! Thanks and congrats!
Fighting naked is wild😅💀
"INFANTRY", AS IN INFANS, LATIN ROOT, :INFANS-ONE WITH NO VOICE, SPEECHLESS.
One thing that bothers me in almost all the demonstrations, illustrations and so on is that they forget the sides. "Testudo was a formation in which shields covered ALL sides and overhead.
I have the most grievous repugnance for IA generated images, scripts and voice generation. This video is not exception.
Looks like real life version of Marley vs Eldia or Attack on Titan
They killed the true roman empire, from the constantine war against Maxentius. They were a greek-christian world. They were byzantine usurpers.
The Battle of Teutoburg Forest was a turning point in world history! The Romans may have gotten their ‘revenge’ on Arminius (rich, considering *they* invaded in the first place), but in the end they realized that the price of controlling territory east of the Rhine was simply too high. This is where the borders of the empire would roughly remain for the remainder of it’s rule. Arminius accomplished more than he realized!
Well done, sir!
Interesting history. What I find even more interesting is human perspective and memory, and how selective, biased, and incomplete it can be. Hardly anybody remembers these huge invasions and titanic battles after the Teutoburg Forest Massacre had taken place. Thus, the necessity for video documentaries like this to flesh out people's very limited understanding of history. Isn't it odd how thoroughly the shock of the initial ambush and massacre eclipsed almost all historical memory of the subsequent military campaigns by the Romans to get their revenge and restore their honor, which the DID, in spades? Certain events in human history, if they make a big enough impression on the human mind, overshadow other events which may be of even greater magnitude.
Many years ago when the Kirk Douglas movie Spartacus was still new and I was about 13 years old I first saw that movie. I was very impressed with the final battle scene. The Legions move like a machine, silent and intimidating. I imagined it was just another day at the office for the legionaris; that scared me.
Such a cheap minded people. Why such amount of hate to people 😮
Shame about Versinjerickshmmmm
The video is too long
I wouldn’t be surprised King Arthur was Italian
8:12/ the use of topics to communicate with peoples, even thru Trade, would have introduced more adjectives than the number of potential adjectives used during normal Trade of Goods' communications. sales' agents would not waste a tall tale on a customer. sell sell sell. but some times, not sum (money term) times, there is a real need to share a story, or two. the stories r what would be today's X/meta/podcasts. adding the adjectives to the Nouns would have helped create the myth before the man. way before any Legend. the legends become a story to tell the local kids, at bedtime. the more words a human child learns and says a Loud. the more likely that human will be More Notable than other humans that do not say the words out Loud. Over and Over and Over again. locals do not create their own. they rely upon previous generations to create a story that will inspire/tell their Kin/kids to grow up and be alive as long as possible. few parents breed to send their offspring to die before their own bodies are meant to. over time, additions are added to the stories by locals. this is common, for most people can not remember every detail of every story. for example, Jesus of N was a dark skinned rabbi Judaist. and yet His picture, made by westerners, is quite clearly not dark at all. Previous to Arthur, the Britons had their female leader (starts with a B). it was not a good ending for her, nor for those that followed her. people want stories of winning. and that is why they seek myths from other lands. Then Pray upon (god, God, some roman/greek self aware force that May well answer a Call (for free)) for that Myth to Be. the frank H book 'Dune' really sells this as a THING. but for most Britons, they wanted what they wanted. never ask for a moses type if u want an arthur. the adjectives used to describe the One Rabbi Judaist, that Sold the idea of 'Paying the Imperialist State before paying the local Temple of Faith', was and remains nearly Unbelieveable. not because the vast majority of His so called Followers pay a church over paying the State. it is more because many of the same followers claim 'there should be no separation of church and State'. Jesus never spoke to combining them. but facts do not matter once a Power that Be uses the myths over the facts. I like the story of arthur. there is all the Good in men. and course there is conflict. even within one self. with females involved too. which is unlike most stories of the Bible, where women are 2nd class and do not even possess a Right to speak in public. // if the Boss asked me, 'which stories to use to set a forth into the mindset of the Britons'. I would use the arthur story(ies). although the last movie sucked. // Excalibur is better the clive owen version is also interestingly more real than fantasy (magic can only go so far (most magic was science using local elements)). Merry Christmas and in the Tradition of George Washington and Richard Nixon, Merry Christmas Bombings !!
The Fall means the Fall not the Rise, the Apogee and the Fall. Only the Fall should have had at least one video as it was very interesting and should began with the Anabasis of the 10.000, an event totally absent from this video, but very important in the Decline of the Achaemenids. Cyrus was an emperor in the Rise of Persia and Darius in the Apogee, they have nothing to do with the Fall. It's like talking about Scipio Africanus in the Fall of Roman Empire. Very poor video
@CambrianChronicles, How about this theory?
This is not the original Hellenic story of Memnon. This is the later reimagined romanticized and rationalized Roman version of Memnon who they believed that the mythical kingdom of Aethiopia hailed from Africa. In Hellenic mythology and culture the mythical kingdom of Aethiopia is located in the East where the sun rises. Memnon is NOT described believed or depicted as a Nubian Kushite Sudanese African warrior.
? Largest empire
At that time, yes
Wait !what was his name again?😂😂😂😂😂 0:24
Very interesting video! Thanks for sharing! 👏
Thanks for visiting
Thanks War and Honor for making such an awesome video about King Arthur! ^-^ Don't forget to like the video if my little theory intrigued you. :)
Came a lot 😂

Rome was known for using the most cowardly methods possible to steal what they wanted. They had no pride. Just like the empire many of you worship today. Glorify war for profit all you want. No one will cry harder when you realise that can go both ways. "They're stealing our jobs" lmao
Never believe a word written by Tacitus. The man was a propagandist send by Rome and his only job was to make rich Romans feel better about the empire, or at least less of everyone else. Never quote him as he never left a story as true and unedited.
Thank you. Fascinating how history repeats itself. Looking forward to the next one.

Excellent, thank you 😎♥️
Thanks for the support!
The opinion that Kievan Rus split into Ukraine, Belarus and russia is nonsense and long-standing propaganda of the muscovites, thanks to which they tried to get closer to Europe. Rus is Ukraine of the medieval period. Throughout history, there were only two rutheian kingdoms and both existed on the territory of Ukraine. One - with its capital in Kyiv and the second - in Lviv. The muscovites stole the name of Rus, with the aim of distorting history, rewriting their Mongolian origin and becoming closer to Europe, which, as we see, they did not succeed in doing and they remain under the patronage of China. Ladoga, Novgorod and other cities north of Kyiv were part of Kievan Rus, just as Chernihiv, Odesa, Lviv and any other Ukrainian city are now. The fact that the muscovites later occupied Novgorod and populated it does not make them descendants of Rus. The descendants of Rus are Ukraine and Ukrainians or Rusyns, as they were also called before.
The Romans were evil and that is one instance of the old saying what goes around ,comes around.
great work!
Thanks!
Their empire is gone but Persians are still around. Can’t say the same for Rome and the Roman Empire.
Rome is not around?? 😂 I'm sure that Italy has a capital
