Casey Jones Piano Cover
These lyrics are mostly personalized while still following some of the lyrics from the original song. I wrote these new lyrics in order to make the song more accurate as to what happened on the early hours of April 30, 1900.

Auld Lang Syne | Piano Cover
Просмотров 1372 года назад
Auld Lang Syne was written by Robbery “Rabbie” Burns who was born in 1759 and died 1596. The composer for the music of the song was composed by Ed Watkins. It has become a traditional song to played or sung on New Years, and rightfully so; it is a song of salvation in friendship. To put our troubles behind us. Forget our problems. And to keep moving forward. Goodbye, 2021. Hello, 2022.

Detachable Collars Explained

Detachable collars went out of style in the 1920’s and 30’s. However, there is a laundering company in England that still makes starched collars. I believe they also make cuffs, however the ones that I have are custom made. My bib shirt is also custom made.

Edith Russel was an American Passenger on board the R.M.S. TITANIC, traveling first class. The ship began its construction in 1909 and was completed in 1911. It had some delays due to her sister, R.M.S. OLYMPIC having an accident on her first voyage, and it was not able to take sea trials until April 2nd, 1912. It would have been on April 1st, but it was canceled for high winds. She went round ...

A very insightful account. He’s very sure about getting his facts right. He could have spun a tale about the band playing a certain melody for example but when the interviewer suggests this he replies “No, they were just tuning up.”

I’ll tell you the truth, Charles Lightoller’s dialect of British accent sounds so similar to my grandmother’s (whom was born in 1931, in Seattle, WA to a Parisian French immigrant mother, and a man from Luxembourg who married her and moved to the United States circa 1920). I’m in my 30’s, but I’m surprised at how our Western American accent haven’t changed too terribly much in hindsight. The only difference to Mr. Lightoller’s accent compared to my grandmother’s was she really liked to say “the deal” a lot when she couldn’t think of the name of some random object that eluded her at any given moment. Crazy.

Edith's story changed many times. In her 1957 interview, she said she was wearing stockings. In her 1970 interview, she was adamant that she was not wearing any stockings. In the 1957 interview, she said she was in her bedroom when the crash into the iceberg happened. The third bump made her grab the bedpost so as not to fall over. In the 1970 interview, she was sitting in the first class drawing room at the time of the crash. If you listen to Eva Hart and Frank Prentice's interviews, their recollections of what happened to them and what they witnessed were the exactly the same, verbatim, in every interview they gave.

Strange that he does not describe the Titanic breaking in half. There were numerous witnesses that reported that, but they were not believed. Eva Hart was 7 years when the disaster happened and reported that it broke in half. She had this to say: “We rode away, and I didn’t close my eyes at all. I saw that ship sink, and I saw that ship break in half,” Hart said in an undated video interview, part of which can be found on RUclips. “For 70 years, people have argued with me about that, but now at last it has been proven beyond all doubt that she did break in half. I know I did, I saw her.” Lightoller could not see the Titanic break in half, because he was sucked underwater when it happened. But he was aware of the reports of this during the investigation and held steadfast in his claim it did not happen, saying this: ‘It is utterly untrue. The ship did not and could not have broken in two.’ The evidence on the bottom of the ocean shows that the most senior surviving officer of the Titanic is of course wrong.

It's unfair to try and make a villian of Bruce ismay or any other survivors from all accounts it seems like a lot of the passengers showed reluctance in going aboard the life boats that was made available to them, most didn't consider the situation that serious so other person's took their space.may all those whom perished in this unforgettable disaster souls rest in peace,we should continue have memorial for these victims as long as ever with the involvement of their direct offspring.

I thought she made Bruce seem sweet, she was scared to go on the ship and he encouraged her obviously he didn't plan the crash, not just that he saw her and made sure she was on the life boat rather than him, if he was a 'villain' he would have tried to get on in her place. He also encourages her to go on the life boat too by chucking her pig on the boat knowing she made sure she wanted to keep it safe, (that was the only thing she wanted to keep with her at that moment) and she even calls him a gentleman, please if I heard/ perceived this wrong correct me, but that's what I got from Edith.

FR’s lifeboat was full beyond capacity as the maximum for each boat was 50 passengers. Clearly there should’ve been several times over more lifeboats, than there were. Even so Titanic carried several more lifeboats than the regulations legally specified. If all the boats had been filled, then there would’ve been 800 survivors instead of the 500. There had been no lifeboat drills aboard the Titanic. Capt.Smith was absent when he should’ve have been supervising his officers loading the lifeboats. When Officer Lightoller found Capt.Smith, Lightoller said Capt.Smith seemed to be in the midst of a nervous breakdown.
