Do you have the correct amount of auto insurance?
Audio level way too low. 😟
Wrong! Dont even make contact with them
I am not a lawyer, so i can only speak for myself. The silent treatment.
1. Am I being detained? 2. Do you have a warrant? 3. What is your purpose here?
1:29 "If you've got a peephole, talk through the peephole." Talk to the po-po through the pe-po.
have those securety doors on every entry point to your home. and have them latched with a inside only lock. and the only thing you say is “I do not answer questions”.
my front door is secured and blocked. if anyone knocked on my door ( doorbell is broken) i would talk to them via my kitchen window. the bottom of said is about six+ feet above the walk way. about 18 in sq. easy to close and it auto locks. plus a length of pvc piping as a added block ( all windows here have such). any house can be broken into. it is just a matter of how much force they want to apply. and crooks have broken into homes saying they are the police. sometimes they are the police…doing extra very profitable work.
Way too many do not know your rights or just choose to ignore them. They will do things against you even if they know charges will get dismissed if they are pissed off just to make a point.
I had police enter without a warrant because of a malicious false report. "Knock and talk-it's an investigation tool because they don't have a warrant, which means they don't have probable cause (PC) to believe that you've committed a criminal offense to the extent that they can gain a valid warrant to search your home. It's a fishing expedition"
This is TERRIBLE ADVICE, especially coming from a lawyer, and if you exactly follow his advice it will be HARD to get anything found in the search overturned in court. When the police ask: "Do you mind if we search your vehicle?" it is a TRICK question and REGARDLES if you say "yes" or "no" they can argue in court that you AGREED to the search. If you say "yes" they will claim in court that you consented to the search. If you say "no" (with no other words), they will claim that you said "No, I don't mind if you search the vehicle", ie you agreed to the search. The ONLY safe course to follow and what competent lawyers have specifically said to do to AVOID these issues is to say NO AND IMMEDIATELY explain what you mean by that, ie say: I do NOT consent to a search.
If you can afford to live in America you can afford a doorbell camera.
I used to have a "Welcome Matt" at the front door. Now I have one that says "Come back with a warrant" - available on Amazon.
You don't answer the door & tell them to go away !!!!
I do what the law requires of me. Unfortunately for cops on a fishing expedition, the law does not require me to respond to a knock on the door.
Don't just lock your gate and have no way for them to reasonably access your front door fly the Stars and Bars and the Bonnie Blue Flag to demonstrate that you are opposed to the tyranny of the Union (USA), their tyranny enforcement officers and their corrupt tyrant laws.
Tell them no thanks and talk to my attorney only.
Don't talk to the police. ruclips.net/video/d-7o9xYp7eE/видео.html
Lmao. That's easy no warrant don't answer the door at all. Always remember remain silent and never trust any cop because their job is to lie to you and get you to incriminate yourself they are not there to help you so don't answer the door or say anything to them other then " have you got a warrant and if they say no then say leave right now ". If they choose not to listen be prepared to protect your self and your property and loved ones
I'd handle it like I do when anyone else knocks on the door. I ignore it.
Recently another one of Donald Trump's attorneys sold him out and disclosed private information. This is one of the reasons why we so distrust attorneys. What do you think Mr. Brian? Should we ask the attorneys we hire if they will see us out too? Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
Here is the rub. I keep seeing videos of cops claiming they have a warrant and they don't. If you open the door and demand to see the fictitious warrant the police will insert their foot so you can't shut the door without hitting them. It may be legal to repel a police officer who has illegally entered your home but I don't recommend it.
They say "I don't like to talk through doors." Then they say "Come outside" like its an order. Once you step outside, they arrest you. Its best, that if someone knows its the police, to just simply not answer the door at all.
WHAT IF YOURE ON MISDEMEANOR PROBATION
Had one of those knocks on my door a few days ago. It was the police. I refused to open the door and speak with the officer. He claimed that he was there conducting a welfare check requested by a relative. That was a lie. It was chilling experience.
This is great advice for white people. A person of color following this advice to the letter, will find their door kicked open, their head busted open, and a dozen false charges filed against them.
If you open the door they will stick their foot in the door. If you close it, thats assault.
In Saxton Pennsylvania thay kick your door in
Dont answers or talk to them.
4:14, "every one of them said ??????????????????? would never allow any police officer to ..."
Is it a good idea to not even answer through the door but just remain out of sight?
I don't answer the door. They never have my best interests in mind when coming to my house uninvited.
I know that the conventional wisdom is not to talk to the police without a lawyer, but what if you are 100% innocent? For example, my wife went to visit her family over three months ago. While she was away, she had some medical problems and had to have surgery. Now she's having complications, and she's still not well enough to travel. So if one of my neighbors notices she hasn't been around and calls the police, and the police come knocking, it seems to me that the easiest thing for me to do would be to show them the hundreds of e-mails and texts that we have sent back and forth over the last three months and as recently as a few hours ago. Thoughts?
@jeffschwartz4t.o.council-j132 Here's something that actually happened to me years ago: On a bitterly cold evening, someone called the police on me and said that I was leaving my dog out in the cold. The officer knocked on my door and explained why he was there. I calmly and politely explained that we have a doggie-door and that the dog could come in whenever he pleases. In fact, he had been in and out all evening. He was still a young, energetic dog at the time, and he would go outside and bark for a few minutes and come back in. Over and over. I could see why someone would call, but it simply wasn't true that he was locked outside. Anyway, the whole interaction with the police took about one minute. The officer thanked me, and off he went. Why should I incur legal fees in such a situation?
Just steal their cruiser when they're looking in your car. Not a lawyer btw.
don't even open the door a crack. even if they do say something like "we just need to get your statement on a car wreck you witnessed" dont open the door, police are ALLOWED TO LIE and ENCOURAGED TO LIE especially when they go to arrest someone. Do you know how many times I've seen the police say "we just want to talk to you about x and y" then when you open the door they arrest you. Don't even open it a crack, because theres several videos online right now where the cop jams their foot in the crack of the door to keep it open then wiggles their way in. If you even answer them at all, stay behind the closed the door, and weather you think it's innocent or not, they could be (and likely are) lying.....so tell them you dont make any statements about anything without your attorney present. Tell them you don't answer questions, you are choosing to use your right to silence. tell them to contact your attorney and to please leave.
I now reiterate what I printed in magic marker on two small rectangles of cardboard and posted in the backseat small panel windows of my '78 Chevy Monte Carlo after the acquittal verdicts for the LAPD cops who beat Rodney King in 1994(?). One sign said: "FUCK THE POLICE" and the other said: "SUE A COP TODAY". Furthermore, as my dear old Dad from Brooklyn, N.Y. would say: "Tell 'em nuttin'".
Just don't answer your door
Record every interaction with cops and sue the department for every cent it's worth if they violate your rights. Put them on blast in the public until they fix their horrible practices.
It's the same for entering your home or doing a search there. Don't consent to anything, but don't try to offer them resistance if they decide to do it anyway. Never try your case on the street or at your front door. That's what courtrooms are for. You will not win against police on the street. But you can win in court. There are too many amateur attorneys and constitutional scholars who think that arguing with or fighting against the police is going to accomplish something. Well, technically they are right if their goal was to be charged with more crimes or to get arrested for something that would otherwise have ended in a verbal warning.
I have a question: How do people still not know that 99% of the time when a cop wants to “talk”, it’s because they’re looking for evidence to use against you in court?
Never talk to the police, even if you witnessed something awful. If the police knock on your front door do not open it, do not talk to them from behind your door. The 911 operator might call you to tell you the police outside want to talk to you, do not answer the call. The police are there to entrap you, never talk to the police under any circumstances.
what's funny is that, in movies, people are portrayed as assholes and as definitely guilty for doing this. lemmings!
Be aware that the police can only come up your sidewalk or driveway to your front door. they are not allowed to look around elsewhere outside without a warrant.
RIP James Yeager
Except even if I don't consent, police can lie that I did. So if I don't record and "be a jerk about it" nobody knows.
Thank you. I always wondered why people open the door.
Back before Amber Alerts were a thing, I remember a couple times police knocking at hte door to talk. Wanted everyone to keep an eye out for a missing kid. Not accusing anyone, just asking everyone in the neighborhood to call if we see anything. Doesn't happen anymore, but it was one of the few good reasons to talk to them when they knock.
They can't just say they have a warrant, they need to produce a warrant.
Fuck a car search I'm not not having a fucking bitch faggot police search my car for no reason I'm not buying a car with no car keys for people keep looking in my fucking shit fuck this channel fuck racist pointy nose bitch 2023
A knock and talk is kinda like a game of TIC-TAC-TOE. The only way to win is not to play.
