Why wouldn't you no big deal.

I have been scouring through gated communities for the last couple of months. Sadly im seeing some that appear to have dropped into disarry, or havnt been developed even after being around for 3 or more years. One community Terreno South has been paved with roads but hardly any buildings (homes) built. However a majority (about 90% from my guess) of the lots have been sold. The agent for Rockwell said it will be another couple of years before all the ammenties are built ready.... Im not looking for gold paved streets but I dont want to be 1 of three families living in a community of 40 some hectates. OR is this common?

Even for 1million I will not buy this, unless I will rent it out. Noise in these low cost condo will be unbearable. You can hear the footsteps on the floor above you. Worse if there are kids. Adjacent units will be noisy also. The parking lot is just outside in these low-rise buildings, NOISE NOISE NOISE. Dogs, videoke, NOISE NOISE NOISE

Dang Phils changed so much, its becoming the new future LA in the states, i would rather rent a bigger condo in Bankok for retirement.

Eric how long have you been away from CA. I have 2 friends in north Hollywood that have a studio apartment for $2600 a month and this was 2.5 years ago.

Great video and information, Eric & Cindy. I subbed to your channel. Those units are way overpriced. I bought my 5 bedrooms 5 baths house here in California for $356,000 back in 2015, so to me, those prices are just just crazy.

Let's not oversell the Philippines. I have seen many women here that dress just as slouchy as some American women. I see many women walking through the wet markets in pajamas. It just depends on what area of what city in what state (province) you are in. Women here are honestly not much different than American women with the exception of them having more desires to be an actual wife. Many relationships here are transactional at most. Especially those with large age gaps. IF the majority of the men in the Philippines made high enough wages, many of these younger women would prefer them, just for the sake of sharing the same customs and ways of doing things. Some men end up meeting good women, and some end up meeting the same type women they met in the US because they act the same way they did in the US. I would say visit SEVERAL times, different islands, different areas of each island and get a feel for the people as well as see what the immigrant population culture is like before deciding to move here. And understand the laws, the customs of the Philippines people, see how families interact and/or depend on each other financially. Its not all banana trees and coconut lined beaches here. Like the Ghetto Boys said, "the world is a ghetto", so dont be surprised.

I have to admit, that development is really nice and in upscale. But considering it's in CEBU not NEW YORK, JAPAN, HKG or LA for the price? I guess its way too much (overpriced) considering CEBU's public infrastructure is way behind and the traffic is getting worst. I love Mandani I had a unit that i sold and made profits. I had my fair share and not thinking of going back to the current market.

It's pricey anything that more than 8M is not a good investment because you will never be able to sell it easily plus this Condonis more pricier than the one in BGC and it's small

Manila is a dirty place -do not stay too long there. And def. do not wander around unless you want to get robbed or stabbed. And Angeles city is just bunches of clubs..and working women. I was deployed there years ago. Go to the Visayas quickly -must cleaner and less likely to get you killed...or robbed.

It was particularly helpful when you gave a comparison about the Phillipine Cities and how they might be similar to places in the US. Now on the furniture and personal belongings, not only am I a pack-rat, but I have a strong sentimental attachment to my belongings. So much, until I have already looked into shipping my things. I have already stored everything for now, and I was thinking that once I found where exactly I'd like to settle, then having it all shipped via Container Cargo, including my Vehicle. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, as I was thinking that it would have been much more expensive to ship. But one of the things that I was told to do is that when shipping the Vehicle, to just go ahead and purchase the entire Container, which did not cost that much more, and then fill it with the furniture and other personal belongings that I'd like to keep. But again, I won't do any of that until I decide where I'd like to settle. Also, the only other unknown that might alter this plan is what you mentioned about having to pay Custom Fees, and if that may make this plan too cost prohibitive. But I will be saving this video, and will keep it as a Reference!! Again, thanks for the Great Advice!!

If you are a foreigner, do not be in the middle of politics there of any sort. They take that to heart and easily offended. The mano-po is only for some families and not all. WE hug and kiss in mine - Always respect elders no matter where you are is the expectation. Employment is easy -just make your own.

I was in Ayala mall in the food court on the outside terrace looking for a restaurant. There was a foreigner talking very loud saying, “why would you believe there is a God? You have to be a stupid MF to believe there is a God. If you can’t prove it then why the fk would I believe it?“ He went on and on and was loud and could be heard two restaurants away. Keep in mind this is the outside terrace so your voice travels when you speak loudly. Foreigners need to be on a 3 strikes and you're out list for doing things like that. Why would you voluntarily travel 8000 miles to a country that is Catholic and speak negatively, while cursing, about religion out loud with Filipinos everywhere listening? For that he should get a strike 1. When a foreigner reaches strike three, they should be deported and banned for one year. They need to learn you can’t just say whatever you want here in the Philippines like you do in your own country. Thanks for the great info……. Raulh

Mabolo is where I was raised and grew up till I went to the states at age 8yrs old. I remember it as a quite nice neighborhood back then where kids played in the streets and less cars going by. Now, its very busy and plenty of business around. It changed alot since the 70s.

This was a great overview of the top areas to live in in Cebu. This is a must see for anyone who is interested in living in this area. Thanks Eric and Cindy!
