I'm glad Fogduckers is still standing. My favorite coffee shop.
How come you guys aren’t harvesting that timber?
I love that show! Hope you make it on Alone!!! I just found your channel and am enjoying it very much! Just checking out your brother’s channel now, Quadra Rockers. 😊
I worked at a restaurant. The tables and bar top were made out of cypress trees that fell down during Katrina and Louisiana.. The bar top alone was a $8,000. You have a lot of money on that beach.
Listen to your gut, err on the side of caution. BE SAFE❤❤
Good on you, cleaning up after the bomb! Years ago, my mom and dad found a big beam of wood on the beach after a storm. They took it home, dried it, sanded it and treated it. It became the mantle over our fireplace and is still there today.
I'd collect all the logs until I had enough to build a cabin far far away from this crazy world 😮
This is peak Island vibe. Cheers from Colwood BC
Haha hell yea. Cheers
❤
Oh hello there
Sorry, man. Love my Keens.
And please gentlemen. Don't wear nail polish. Just don't. It looks funny.
If your a female it’s completely understandable. Well, it’s understandable for anyone. I was just joking around. No hard feelings.
Good clean Canadian fun, Eh?!!! Watched enjoyed the whole video!
Totally haha thanks for taking the time to watch :)
Oh Yeah! A two liner! 👍👍
Not shortage of wood for everything, fireword, lumber, and carving!
@@tanismarshall8501 totally. Best for carvings and shed builds. It’s ok for firewood but can be bad for your chimney. Or you at least should clean it twice as often if your burning driftwood. So cool to see the variety of wood though hey. It’s like artwork.
great build you guys its really nice to see both of you in action I've always loved those boulders and the location has such a stunning view of the coast mountains
@@paulbishop4712 hey thanks Paul :)you got that right. It’s a far view point. Cheers
I spent two weeks on the Outer Banks last February and spent every day cleaning up plastic garbage off the beach. The most common trash was Mylar balloons. People were actually releasing helium balloons as I was picking up yesterday’s balloons.
Interesting. Nice work!
You guys are amazing you really are.
Thanks for the smile :) you are too
Thanks for cleaning up...from Qualicum Bay
Hey right on! Thanks for watching. Cheers
By the way, the sign on the inland says, Welcome to the City of Campbell River,. We are the third largest city on Vancouver Island, so please don't call it a small town.
Campbell river is a small town. This is by no way a city.
We lost 5 kayaks here in Sechelt Inlet . All red and white .we bought it this year in Canadian Tire .
Noooo that is terrible! Sorry to hear that. If I see any that match that description I’ll be happy to hold it for you.
Awesome video guys ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for cleaning our beaches, you rock!
Hey thanks for watching. Youguys rock.
Rebecca Spit ?
Just south
@@JeremyDoesThings the sou-easters really pile the wood in there..enjoyed the vid and good on you both for the caring clean-up...
Wow! Those logs could build a few backyard buildings...cool finds, nice lumber pieces...👍🏽 great jobs guys!
Hey thanks! Yea there’s so much wood. Lots of people are using it around their homesteads. Cheers
Hi guys! I would cut those logs down to plants and cover the walls at our cottage with them. I love to see the battle scars from their travels which gives them such character. Thanks for picking up all that single use plastic also! Mother Earth is smiling
Awww haven’t heard from you in a while :) yea Mother Earth is happy after things have calmed down now. Yes we will continue to clean up the beaches. It would add a nice custom touch to your cottage that’s for sure! Chat soon
I"m lucky if I find anything where we live!!!! You have basically found the makings of a nice cabin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, it would be a pretty custom cabin, but definitely the makings! Whereabouts are you from?
Yeah Quadra Rockers, love your channel Vaughn. That walking stick piece of wood you found is beautiful. I can't believe how much wood there is. And all that beauty, you guys are very fortunate to be born in such a wonderful part of the world. By the way, how cold was it out there? Vaughn stripped down to his undies was hilarious! 🩲 Shout out for always picking up the garbage guys, well done. All the best to you and your families
Hahaha yea he was probably pretty shrunk up it was cold. He’s always one upping me! Yea we really are lucky to live here. Iv moved away but always come home. All the best to you too friend
It's awesome that you still get to hang with your brother.
It really is. We’re lucky and we know it. Meeting up with him tomorrow for another forest mission. Firewood is on the menu.
Is that the beach at Rebecca Spit?
It’s a bit south
Cool guys! Thanks for picking up so much of that plastic crapola and other human made debris. Cheers from the West Kootenay.
Hell yea it’s our pleasure! Nice to see someone else uses the word crapola! We refer to candy as crapola even tho we love it lol
Great guys. Thank you for the fun
Where is the gold pan?
Haha always in the truck
As a prairie Chainsaw Carver, all that BIG FREE Cedar gives me a Stiffy. What I I would do is give it a Second Life as ART. Envious of your location !
Man I bet you would make some cool stuff! Yea there’s a couple driftwood artists locally here making big stuff. Like full scare Volkswagen cars out of a bunch of smaller pieces that’s just an example
What happens to all that driftwood?
Other than clearing the boat launches it all just stayed around and eventually another high tide takes it away creating walkable beaches under the high tide line.
Phone the hair from your brother balls
Phone the hair from your brother balls
Build small houses for the homeless
Believe it or not they build they’re own along the beaches but the police shut it down pretty fasts
You guys are so awesome ❤
you guys find your balls ?
No glass balls just a bunch of the plastic kind! Epic beachcombing to be had
@@JeremyDoesThings ill show you how to find the goods
I find lots of tennis balls, I usually toss them in the park and they are gone the next day. yah seal galore here also. and sloppy duck hunters. natives and seals don't get along to good here.
Yea that’s what I figure iv heard lots of stories of the seals being kept under control by shotgun. Not sure who’s right on that one. Do humans have the right to control the population of another species? We’ve always been a selfish specimen.
@@JeremyDoesThings They got a bunch of funky rules and combined annual limits for the area. and a cultural requirement.
@ your telling me there’s a seal opening? I guess if you’re native you can harvest seal? Interesting. I mean I bet there’s still lots of people up north using seal in their daily lives. Skins, fat, oils, even food maybe?
@@JeremyDoesThings yah they can get a subsistence permit for seal and other stuff. some get a few whales up north.
Excellent video boys, I would try and get all the cedar hopefully yellow cedar. your boys are going to need a bigger truck. because I live on the Prairie I have never beach column to be for thanks for taking us a long boys please do more beachcombing for us.✌️🇨🇦
Hey Doug! Thanks for the comment and just for you. We will head back out tomorrow for another one. It’s supposed to get super windy again tonight. there’s so much wood to be had a guy could just keep on building ha ha cheers buddy
Wonder if the containers that fell off the ship a few years back came in on the storm
It’s always a possibility, but we weren’t seeing anything that looked like new quality. Couple really nice ropes but nothing too spectacular. We’re heading out again tomorrow and we’re going to walk a lot further.
Haha, the runner fits Vaughn perfectly. So much wood, so much garbage. I love Keens.interesting garbage finds. BIC should sponsor you for beach cleanup. Vaughn is so funny out in the water. Thankyou for picking up the beach garbage.
@@barbaramindell4712 haha thanks for watching mama ❤️
Too funny tampon dispenser findings! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@lucymartyn8205 they’re everywhere! lol
Is the town on sewer? Does that imply that the sewer is dumped directly into the ocean?
Those are called beach whistles
My favorite hobby!
I really enjoy the beach combing videos. Was just wondering (1) what is your best find (2) what is the most expensive thing (3) what is the craziest thing or your weirdest find? Besides wood because I see lots of that but would just like to know these things. Also have you ever found drugs?
@@debbiecollins1154 hey Deb great questions! I think our best find yet and also the most rare was the Japanese glass float ball because it was on the inside of Vancouver island which is hardly heard of. Most expensive find is hard to say but I find a lot of items that could sell for a hundred bucks. Such as big ropes. Crab traps. As far as drugs. We have found some baggies with residual in them but one can only guess. We did come across a full tube of doobies that washed up and was still dry and sealed. Most of the finds I talk about are in past episodes on my channel. Just have to go to my page and hit the videos tab and scroll down. Anyways I appreciate you and your interest. And your name because my step moms name is Deb Collins :) have a great day
Thanks for always cleaning up the beach! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks Relic and Nick, and Jessie from Molly’s Reach, (and a great comedy.) Love the attitude!❤
Hey no problem! Curious where mollys reach is I’ll have to map it. Thanks for watching :)
Gibsons?
@ The Beachcombers classic on CBC! It’s in Gibson’s Landing, BC. Near Grantham’s Landing and Langdale ferry terminal. Relic was always hunting for logs from log booms hence “beachcomber”. Great work and filming work too 👌🏼🇨🇦👑
Loved watching the Beachcombers. I've seen so many reruns i still love that show.
@@Dellelonaronno ahhhh gotcha! Yeah, I’ve had people suggest that I use the theme music from the beachcombers. Awesome
and Thank you for picking up the garbage!
@@1peasant8 your welcome it’s the best feeling to take all that plastic off the beach.
wow....im so jealous!! I could use some of that drift wood, would be lovely shelving!
@@1peasant8 no kidding! There’s a lot of driftwood construction that happens on Quadra. It’s efficient. Where are you from? Cheers
@@JeremyDoesThings I live in the rocky mnt house area, central alberta..I was born in Campbell river and am working towards circumnavigating the Island, so been looking for a suitable sailboat. Would love to be living out there on a boat! sigh, I miss the ocean! I will check out Quadra! Peace
Watch the video and it's so cool.❤
Right on man! Glad you liked it
