I don't think lease purchase programs should be banned completely but they do need to be picked apart and heavily audited. Maybe for the existing lease purchases there should be at least a monthly audit on the programs.

Lease purchases don't make you a owner operator. They are also a scam. If they ban this it will bring back the small independents and bring back rates. Its what we have been needing for a long time.

For the new guy. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t get to confident not to learn more. I’ve been out here 22 years and still learn everyday. Everyday and every road traveled is different even if you traveled that road a hundred times. Nowadays every company is the same. They all have good and bad issues. If make money and home like you want stick with it. No company is perfect. Grass isn’t always greener somewhere else and if sounds like it is then it might have a lot bull sh.t to help it look greener. Enjoy the journey.

If the FMSCA does get the "lease purchase" programs band how will that effect Prime. I held to 2 different lease purchase agreements and actually did pretty good. Neither was with Prime so I don't know they lease purchase model. Would be interested in getting your input Sir. Stay safe and GOD Bless.

Prime is like every other company out there,it can be the best or the worst it's honestly about what you want and what you expect but at the same time it's not the same experience for everyone,not everyone will fit in and like any company

The thing I hate about this whole situation with Ohio federal motor care.They have 8 meetings.Not one truck driver truck association trucking company.Truck driver at least purchase was in the meeting with them.I am tired of the white collar is running the trucking industry.But we don't have any say so.And we can stand up and have say so maybe things is changing in the trucking industry

You’re right about some don’t care about you. I used a code of someone and that person won’t ever answer me or reply to me. So it’s not even if you only use their code. But I asked if I can change my referral code because I get the most information from a few others and I prefer those who don’t play games or involve drama. Keep it real and keep it professional like you do. I also like people who will promote following the rules and follow them rather than complain and say they ignore it. Believe me those people are out there on RUclips also. Success isn’t made by avoiding rules laws and making excuses. So I like to follow those who tell it like it is. Thank you for the advice about Prime school. They didn’t have any trainers left willing to train females this winter so I have to try again in spring but I’ve considered using the Wii’s grant and getting my class a CDL locally but something in my gut said no and so I’ve held off but I fear prime will again tell me the same things in the spring. They’ve told me before I can come there but their dates didn’t line up at that time for my personal life to leave right then. I have been looking into many other places of the past 3 years. I choose Prime more for reasons that many others never have thought about or weighed out. Keep growing the hair. Younger may not like it now but I’m certain when you get past a certain stage she’ll love it. Wait… maybe that’s why she hates it??? Keep mama happy!

I’ve been watching success leasing inventory list and since the first of the year it’s a lot different. I use to be in shipping and receiving. So I like to see what’s coming in and going out to gain insight when something is up.

I believe they just need to be regulated and make sure that the time being spent and money being spent pays off at the end and actual have a chance of owning your truck. It’s that simple.

I don't think they should be banned altogether, but they definitely need to be regulated, because they're the equivalent of a loan shark. And there are other predatory lenders that need reigned in as well.

I agree with an audit plus clearer guidelines not a complete ban. We either need to be full employees or actual 1099’s with the ability to drive for anyone and or have anyone drive for you before fully paying off the loan.
