congrats j I’m so happy for you and it’s Beckah❤
It is a strongly recommended product with awesome image quality, and can be used as clip-on, monocular, scope and helmet. More importantly, it is worth the money right now
Sensitivity and pixel pitch are two separate things. Its sensitivity is <40mk, while current gen sensors run at <20mk. It's actually not a big deal, and arguably better for some purposes. The deer showing up as one giant lightbulb? Well, with a more sensitive sensor, you would see more gradients and detail there. For detection, I like a less sensitive sensor, for identification, more sensitivity is ideal. The latest 1024 sensors are at <40mk, so they're the best of both worlds.
You're right, and I even have those listed as separate data columns on my spreadsheet on it and still missed it in reviewing the edit. Thanks for catching that for me.
I like nv on digital otherwise I feel like traditional is more accurate.
Best comparison between the two I've seen thanks so much...
Thank You
Looking forward to a comparison between the nox18 and this guy! Just based on initial image impressions, how would you compare them? Do you notice a distance difference? Do you have any experience with the rh25 at all? Thanks!
@@ChristopherWelchIsBatman that video is in the works right now. Planning on getting footage for it this weekend
Jerry YM 2.0 is the international version. Same unit, yet it has clip on/collimation, and way more settungs. Same price.
Does the Jerry YM 2.0 have the same specs / performance?
Am debating between the YM 2.0 and the ST6.
Yea it's the same unit but a different and superior firmware version. The only thing the rix stride has going for it is a 5 yr warranty. China company iray likes to rebrand their products to avoid sanctions.
I love my ST6 for scanning. I use an N-Vision HALO-XRF on my rifle, and side by side, the ST6 isn’t that far off from what I see with my N-Vision. Humidity is definitely an issue with the ST6 compared to my BAE core on the Halo-XRF. But hey, like you said, for the money it was a no-brainer purchase that I’m extremely pleased with. Great performer.
RIX - A wider field of view would really help your sales. I agree with a button top battery would be better. Otherwise it’s a great handheld or helmet mounted thermal.
How do you find the brightness of the screen? My biggest issue with my ST6 has been that even on the lowest brightness setting, modes like black-hot are incredibly bright and almost painful to look at when you're out in the dark. I've also asked them about external power - the USB-C port can power the device, but apparently only when it has a data connection. It would be nice for users who need more battery life to be able to plug in the USB-C and use a larger battery pack.
I feel the same way about the screen being to bright during black hot, but I also never use black hot either. When I want to switch which eye I look through (thermal vs NV), I lazily squint the opposite eye, then my brain realizes that I'm getting more data from the open eye and it focuses on that optic. This only works when the optic I want to look through isn't overloading my eye with data. For example, if we're near a pipeline pad that has an active flare stack, my NV eye is SOOO bright that the only way my brain won't focus on it is if I roll the device out of my line of sight. Every HMT that I've used feels the same way to me when running black hot, so i just stick with white hot.
@@brazosvalleyboarsandvarmit4719 Love mine. I don't have any issue with black hot. It's what I always run. I get a little over 8 hours on the RIX rechargeable batteries. Thanks for the review.
@@fltmed Thank you
Great editing on the video. Amazing footage! Awesome job!
Thank you
Great video and hunt with the OG! He got me started in the game also.
Keep up the good work. Farmer/land owners appreciate your efforts.
M30t?
Exactly
Is there a BBQ 🍖 after the Hunt 😋 I’ve done a lot of hunting up in Aspermont Tx on the salt fork Peanut farm.
Loved the video and the felt like I was there with y’all even the kid was yelling I know that guy
That was probably the best comment I've ever gotten. Thanks man
Id love to collab with you guys
Never heard them called scanner, thermal monocular is what they are called, you didn’t mention they are upgradable, the only thermal monocular in the industry that is.
What’s the camera?
DJI Matrice 30T thermal drone
No no this is okay
Love the new gun rack setup brother. Stay humble on your road to niche internet micro celebrity status.
Thank you very much
@@brazosvalleyboarsandvarmit4719 is there away to get a hold of you I got some land for you to come hunt
What type of drone are you utilizing?
DJI Matrice 30T
Remote controlled wide area Pyrotechnics consoles, check it out, it's basically a concert wireless lighting control unit hooked to pyros, but instead of using big loads you use small firecrackers and maybe bear spray/powder, so if you got an assistant and work out the area previously you can have then running around your killing zone of choice... There may be some fire hazard, but controlable if wisely managed.
lol at every footage clip you showed with people had someone falling down. Not sure if that was on purpose or not 😂
I love catching those on record. It's funny every time
Them hogs know that Drone means trouble😂
How would a reusable 150 gram, 12 gauge shotgun incl barrel, trigger and battery, sound boys ?
Nice review. I DO think they should come with 2 batteries, particularly since they are proprietary. If the one goes bad, it isn't like you can pop over to the local all night Walmart and pick up a couple of spares. There should be a tripod mount adapter as well. Not a fan of the wrist strap. Like the zoom ring. Looks like it took multiple turns to get full mag. Maybe the increments could be slightly larger?
Afff o ser humano pra tudo tem que ser decadente custa por o coitado do animal já que tá morto em um trasporte decente em vez de ser arrastado afff
Red light is kinder to your night vision than blue light.
You need a simple radio system to communicate with the men on the ground and the drone pilot. These are not super expensive. You'll be much more effective that way than trying to shout across the field.
That's exactly what we did. Got em wired into our chest rigs
Might want to look into a gas-powered drone. They're expensive but your battery life problem will disappear.
Lol the last part got me “ha bye” you did so great bye hope to see you soon❤
You did great hope to see y’all soon ❤❤❤!!!!!
Awesome video, very informative!
Just moved to Texas heard about you from your wife would like to know if I can pay for a hunt
sure thing, text me @ 254-709-1099
Fantastic review!
Thank you
What drone do you recommend and why? Thx
Right now I think I’d lean towards the Autel EVO II dual 640, but the DJI Mavic 3T is a super close 2nd. The imaging is close enough to be considered the same, but the EVO is a hair cheaper w more accessories. What really gives the Autel an extra nudge is that they don’t have geofencing, which can be a PITA even if you are perfectly legal especially for use outside of the hunting world. The #1 thing I don’t like about the Matrice 30T is how loud it is. I’ll scare pigs back into the trees from hundreds of yards away
its like having a MQ-9 airsoport... eyes in the sky, nice team job
I'll just stick with my Trijicon IR Hunter 35 MkIII. It's all I need!
Great review! Ignore the haters! Probably an unheard of comparison (b/c no one can afford both of these at the same time :D ). Man when you clanked these together it makes me nervous b/c of how expensive they are ! haha.... Keep the great reviews coming.
Why would you put poison on the deer feed to get rid of the wasp 🤔🤔🤔

Ok , hush and just take my money 😂 . What's the price ?
the one I had was $6K, the one with a lower base mag on the digital daytime channel is $5,800. gearthehunt.com/
Great information bud. Thanks for another good gear review video!
So Chinese vrs usa and pay more for Chinese
no its not,,, LOL. If they had double zoom ability 2x optical to 4x optical with flip of a switch and have an optical zoom built in to the eye piece that going 10x. Then maybe maybe worth the $17,000 S... if not doing content making or some rich dumb as with shit lots of money to blow NO not worth it,,,, but this just opinion and for all those BidenDingAdong lovers GO F Yourself
About the difficult to remove battery... I just got my GL35 thermal and yes it initially was difficult to unlock. I put some o-ring grease on the seal and still seemed to bind. The trick is, grab the flip up battery tab, PUSH IN ON THE BATTERY, now turn it counterclockwise.
Absolutely the best comparison video I’ve seen!!
Thank you
