Hi Jean, glad you had a wonderful time in Lofoten and Vesteralen. Truly beautiful places so I am sure regardless of the gear you got some amazing pictures! Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to watch my video. As for the film, I used one 250D which I really liked and then I used a couple rolls of kodak gold. The gold was fine but I really liked the way Cinestill 250d came out with big prints. Unfortunately I ended up selling my GSW690ii for financial reasons but I hope once my situation changes I could pick up another. Until then I will be using a canon 7D but my heart is still with the big medium format cameras really. All the best, Chris

I'm really glad you loved the video, unfortunately I had to sell the 690 - it didn't get enough action and cost a lot per frame so had to really be sure of the shot! Would really love to own one again one day when I have more money to spend on film - that or get a GFX 50. The Negatives are really something to behold.

So I tend to try and shoot as wide open as possible and as low iso I can while getting an exposure. You want to keep the shutter speed around 1/20 as I found any longer I start to get blurring of the stars

Agreed. Unfortunately for me I think the focal length isn’t right. Something closer to 90mm I think would have me more satisfied. There were moments when I felt the mountains towered over me yet with this focal length I couldn’t really show this. Really nice and beautiful camera to use though.

@@chriscoxdp Yes it is tricky that the 90mm is the longer focal length! Even if there had been a 120mm version of this camera it would have made a difference but inevitably this was made for a more general purpose in mind. But I suppose that is both a strength and a weakness. You've no way to change lenses so you have to change your composition to something more interesting instead! Do you still own it?

yeah man the audio was really rough. Normally when I work on projects I have a dedicated sound crew working alongside. As this was 24 hours to come up with the idea, get cast, crew and shooting schedules all together we couldn't get sound crew so for the sake of completing the project in 24 hours I used the camera mic. Wind noise was a huge issue. Don't think the Z Cams were designed to shoot internal audio lmao I see you're using some Takumars with your F6, how you finding them?

@@chriscoxdp i love them for anything with a little character. Plus the 55, 85, 105, and 135 work great with my anamorphic scope.

yeah man, unfortunately I sold my 28, and my 2 35mms. I had the 35mm 1.8 and it was a nice lens.
