Thank you so much for this. I needed this so very much in this season of life. I’ve been trying desperately to wake up before the kids but I’m so exhausted with a teething toddler that even when I’m awake and reading, the words just bounce off of my head. Reading the Bible with a nice cup of tea during his nap has been so much better for my mental health and connection to God. ❤

I think it’s wonderful how you are leading your children in the word. You are obeying God’s commandments in Deuteronomy 6:6-8. I also believe that we don’t have to feel bad about ourselves if we can’t seek the Lord in prayer and on His word first thing in the morning as there will be times when we will have to wait for a different time during the day. The important thing is to be diligent no matter what time it is. We certainly don’t want to get into the trap of Legalism. I love how you uphold our Lord and Savior on your channel. This is sooo beautiful!! Yes, no shame or guilt attached when we can’t get up before the kids. I personally do encourage, and try my best to set aside alone time with God first thing in the morning. But like you said, life is all about seasons. Sometimes I’m able to get up early to do it and there are seasons where it’s where it’s challenging. And yes, it’s okay for the kids to interrupt. I use to get upset but now I don’t. Either I pause to see what they want or I invite them in and turn it into a read aloud moment. Thank you Destiny ❤. God bless you!

With my children in our small home, no way waking up before them is working. It took me a long time to realize that spending time with the Lord doesnt have to look like how someone else does it. When I wake up I thank Him en ask Him for his guidance. When our children ( special needs) are out the door to their schools, the house is quiet en then I pray, read and journal. I put on some harp worship music and then I just soak in Gods presence. We need to stop to make everything legalistic, so thank you for this message. Beautiful to see that your children want to participate in reading the Bible.

And today I noticed needed to just wake up early in the morning because if not it will be impossible! And then you put up this video! Praise JESUS ! Amen !
