Orion blinds are the best blinds on the market. There's no comparison to any other blind out there.
Hi Jeff - thanks for watching! Glad you like your Orion. Have a great season.
Excellent video. Matt used this drill to plant our CRP. Worked awesome and is growing great. Give them a call. They do excellent work
Great content!
Can you do a review on Nxt Gen Blinds and the differences between them and 360? I am looking to buy 4 blinds and these are the 2 brands I am looking at but can't decide which to buy
Would you say the 360 is the best money can buy or would there be a better blind in your opinion if you were able to spend more?
sounds like the great plains is better for large acreage and Genesis is better for small acreage and food plots.
Made in China?
I think It's time for me to upgrade, still using fleet farm sprayer from 10 years ago. I really like that boomless one. Looks like less tire impact on the plot .
Matt do you wanna sell your old grain drill?
Hey I know those guys 😂
Great views of those benefits! Loving the powerful methods you guys are choosing for your plots. Thanks for the support with Frost Inc.
Easy to recommend products we’ve used for a long time!
Enjoy your videos!!! Learn from someone who does this stuff a lot!
Great video! Very informative and thought provoking. I'm in the market for a box blinds and this video answered a lot of my questions
This is a great comparison video. And the information makes a big difference in my thoughts. I greatly appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful! Check out our newest comparison featuring differences between the Genesis and PH Outdoors drill. Lots of new info there as well. Thanks for watching!
I’m curious what your thoughts are on the Hawk Office Blind
Comparable to the Redneck w/ the same window issues. Originally seemed to be an upgraded Muddy. Dont see many of them so can’t comment on the long term durability.
Deer love that
Can you purchase the updated wheels and the spring for the drive wheel?
Yes you can....check with your local PH Outdoors dealer or contact PH directly for more info. Thanks for watching!
What does that 360 blind cost and are they available anywhere in the Houston, TX area?
360 Pro Series starts at $2795 + tax. Looks like the nearest dealer to you is in Lott, Tx. You can look them up on the 360 Hunting Blind website. Thanks for watching!
Great information! Everything you said really drives home the point of importance of customizing a plan not only for the individual property, but the client themselves!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! 100% correct!
Thanks for the support!
Matt and his team are the best in the business.
Thanks for the kind words Jason. Appreciate the opportunities you’ve partnered with us on!
For God sakes turn the fricken volume of the music down so I don't have to strain to hear everything you say! This is probably why you have so few subscribers.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍
in the end ur better off watching a couple of videos on the subject.. actually spend the money o have on making a couple food plots/feeders etc.. hire someone to do everything u need to expect it to be expensive...
Thanks for the comments, appreciate it! There’s a lot of info out there for sure! Getting a little help to put it all together can be very beneficial. Most people are very surprised how much we can get done at a pretty reasonable cost. The key is understanding the total budget and knowing how far that will get you. Thanks for watching!
You kind of sugar coated it, out of respect , I get that , but you know some of these con men are charging people to actually harm their land not improve it. I cringe when I hear these so called experts. You and guys like don Higgins actually have knowledge but unfortunately most people don't know how to tell the good guys from the bad ones.
No doubt there are some good consultants out there, but you just wouldn't believe the things we are seeing in the last 12 months. Thanks for watching!
Planted corn last season like this and it worked perfectly. Doing it again this year.
Glad it worked for you, thanks for the support!
Just planted corn 2 weeks ago same method as this and its up an growing. Wish I could show you a pic of the field my average stalk height was 12,' averaged 2 ears to the stalk and some had 3 ears but the third dint amout to much. Average ear size was 10" to 13" long, second ear on stalk averaged 6" long.Showed this video to my boss at work an he planted an acre like this up at his hunting camp.@genesiscustomfoodplots
My to do list has a new item to try. Great video
Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
All that time, equipment, supplies. Equates to $5000/lb of venison.
You’ve definitely gotta love it or none of it makes any sense. A lot like any other hobby…it’s the journey that counts, not always the destination. Thanks for watching!
My name is broke deer hunter and my equipment is embarrassing. Thanks for the affirmation!
Not always how much you spend on equipment but if you actually know how to use what you have. Thanks for watching!
Just bought a brand new G5. It does NOT have the updated wheels. I used nearly 3 tubes of grease to lube them.
You must have purchased a 2023 unit. Those updates were announced at ATA 2024.
Freaking awesome drill- great improvements!
PH Outdoors has a small seed box. Native box is in the works. Many forms aren't small seeds.
Native grass box attachment? Small seed box? One of the things I like about my Great Plains is the 3 boxes; however, they need to re-configure like this PH the row units ( separate), and the small seed box needs a sloped feeder to the flutes, prairie forbs will get hung-up between the openings as your seed goes down-yuck!
PH Outdoors has a small seed box, but their standard box will plant most anything, unlike Great Plains. They have a native box coming. A lot of forms aren't small seeds.
We regularly drill clover and switchgrass thru the regular seed box G8 with no issues. We also have drilled natives when blended with rice hulls or EZ pick wood shavings. Worked great! I’ll have a GP 606NT with small seed and native box for sale very soon. Just no need for it anymore!
Saw a spray hose across the back but didn’t see a tank mounted how is this used?
@@davycrockett4360we have a front end tanking system we have built to apply herbicide and fertility. Considering a video on that currently. We get lots of questions. Thanks for watching!
yeah...turn the tunes down...just annoying.
That cob looks good enough for you to eat. How'd it taste? (I'd assume it's a flour type?) I wonder how much worse it'd be, in terms of weed competition, without the Roundup Ready trait and without the glyphosate application at 6.
2-4 years for regular lime to work??? C’Mon man. Take pelletized or ag lime, mix with water and get the same thing. Save $52 a gallon and make it yourself.
Hi Michael - thanks for watching, appreciate it! Ag lime application is generally preferred for long term fixes and often takes several applications over a few years in a food plot setting. Liquid is quick and short term but effective. I’d encourage to give your idea of ag lime and water a try. I think you’ll have a very hard time keeping that in suspension but please post the video when you try it. It’ll be entertaining to see. Thanks again.
Two 360 blinds for warm weather environment I would like to see a sliding screen if possible that would again if possible camouflage u butt of course u may look at using binoculars to see out
$104 a acre is high
Great follow up video. Thanks.
Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I only got a 1/4 acre plot, you sell corn/beans by the pound ?
Sorry Jake - we aren't a seed dealer.
@@genesiscustomfoodplots thought so but found a buddy who has some extra seed
Liquid fertilizers and liquid calcium (lime replacements) are not a long term solution. They are short term and highly soluble, which is very hard on soil biology and they do not provide real nutrition or micro nutrients to plants. You talked about these products "coming down from large scale agricultural production", which should tell you everything you need to know when you look at conventional crops losing nutritional value at a steady pace (up to 40% less nutrition than 30 years ago). Don't get fooled by the Big Ag "chemical convenience" that is not concerned with animal or soil conservation. You should look into Midwestern BioAg products, especially their TerraNu line of fertilizers that are made with digested dairy manure and fortified with trace minerals and other nutrients. If you want to create the best food plots, nutrition equals attraction, and real nutrition doesn't come from chemicals in a jug, it comes from nutrient cycling through soil life.
Would just using a disc prepare the soil well enough if you ever did want to use a planter?
Hi Sam - yes if you have your disk set up correctly to not leave too many clumps and ridges you can do that. Generally an initial tillage pass and a lighter finish pass will prep a seed bed well enough if you want to run a planter. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this, I have been prepping ground for corn and beans, and really sweating how to do this most efficiently on my budget, this is my blessing from you!
Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!
Fantastic information. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Look for an update to this video coming soon!
Would like to see a video on Great Plains with lift assist rear wheels. Liked your video, lots of great information.
Thanks for watching Jim, appreciate it! Unfortunately, we haven't had any experience with that drill set up from Great Plains. We did look extensively at buying the 8' with lift assist but just didn't see the economic benefit when compared to the cost of the Genesis. Look for a new video on drills coming soon, we just took delivery of 2 8' PH Outdoors G8's and will be updating this video soon.
Are there more archery windows available if u want more and can u rearrange the configuration of windows??
Hello - yes the 360 blind is 100% configurable to your liking. You can both change the window locations and swap out as many archery windows as you'd like. Thanks for watching!
You have Orion listed in the comparison chart but I didn't see a review of that blind here?? I have a dealer by me and wanted more info on the Orion. I like that fact that it comes in sections and you don't need to kill yourself moving it with a tractor.
Orion is one of the new kids on the block. Certainly the mobility of the blind is a positive. Price wise they are on the mid to high end of the market. We have looked at them pretty extensively. I would say the aluminum construction is decent. With that the, insulation is necessary to maintain warmth and provides some structural integrity. We are not fans of the hinged windows with rubber seals for the same reasons noted on the others in our video. My biggest issue is having a two piece roof with a hinge. They use an RV seal to prevent leaking and I think the long term viability of that is to be determined. I just don't like having seams in a roof, especially when freeze thaw of snow and ice are involved. Hope that helps some and thank you for watching
Good detailed review, thank you. I know this is not exactly in your wheelhouse, but maybe you'll know; what's a good small option? Does such a thing exist?
That was a really great video! I'm only doing about 5 acres a year for my plots. I'm thinking the genesis 5 would last me forever and may not see hardly any of the maintenance issues. Are the Genesis coulters a must? Im doing a corn/winter rye rotation. Also, I would probably have to get the genesis lighter duty drill. I have a 2005 John Deere 4320 compact.
My lift capacity is 2500 lb at 24 inches
Totally agree with Matt. I have some 360 blinds and they are excellent. Durable. Water tight. Quiet. Great value.
Thanks Jason! Appreciate the support and thanks for watching!
Loved it .thank u so much
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
