I don't think I have "spaces" in tasks app. But i see them in chat app. I don't think I could see the tasks from chat through gmail and calendar.

For all, who had the issue of not seeing the option to allow external users, when creating a space. Turn the setting off and back on in your admin console, then refresh your browser window. That fixed it for me.

This is totally primitive... unbelievable that we need to go backwards in time (years and years....) considering the number of outstanding dedicated tools for productivity there are out there!

Overall it is a terrible feature for Productivity based Team Collaboration! Totally incomprehensible that Google does not provide a proper OOTB service for Businesses.

Hi, I realize this post is over a year old but in case anyone is reading and can help answer: is there a way for the google space creator who assigns tasks to set automatic reminders for said tasks ? For example if I assign a task to someone and it’s due 2 days from now, is there a way that I can set a reminder for them so they are notified before the due date? I know you can do that as an individual member for your own tasks . But my team isn’t tech savvy enough to bother !

The biggest issue I have with Google Tasks integration with Spaces, is the inability to create subtasks like you can in the actual tasks app. When you are working on a project with others within or external to your organization, the principal person responsible might be you, but you might need a dozen secondary tasks under the primary tasks with the ability to assign each subtask to a different member of the team.

According to Google, there is a subtask feature Choose an option: Right-click a task and select Add a subtask. Under the main task, add a new task and press Ctrl + ] (Windows) or Command + ] (Mac). Next to the main task, click Edit and in the Add subtasks field, enter a task. To un-indent a subtask, right-click the subtask and click Unindent. You can also click on the subtask and press Ctrl + [ (Windows) or Command + [ (Mac).

Agreed. Finally... could never figure this out!!! so dumb. Hopefully they'll make it easier to create subtasks etc soon. Crazy they don't have their own project management suite yet. anyway THANK YOU!!!!

I have Google Workspace Business Starter for my business and it won't allow me to add external users (needed for clients) to a task. Do you know why this would be? I would like to recommend this to other business owners I work with but this is pretty essential for those I'm working with. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Google tasks is terrible. Trello, Teams ….all way better
