@apathyandanarchy I was section leader of the pit when we played this and I appreciate your defense of pit players not being dumb. Most of us play other instruments and only are in the pit so that there is a front ensemble. Let's face it the pit is often the black sheep of the band anyway.

Great arrangements and sound! Drill is a bit of a snoozer tho....great performance guys!

(Add-on to my other comment) Other sections do it, but especially trombones, from what I've seen. :P

@alecturner95 The trombone section is damn near famous for pelvic thrusting at that point in the song.

@Jmuduke Just how long ago were you are section leader there? I was in the section in the late 80s. We played this at BOA grand nationals.

I don't think you are wrong now. My friend who is in band with me said they did play it. I was most likely asleep because it was like 9ish and i had to wake up at four some because we were one of the first single A to preform.

I do believe 2007 was the year we started playing Get it on after every show. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain the date is correct.

The chime player is not off. The music was written so that the chime player was supposed to play random notes in scale as fast as they could (aka...loud noises!!!!)

Hm, is the date right on this video? My band went to POC in 2007 and I don't remember them playing this song. They could have seeing as it's night outside and I was most likely half asleep but the only night time song I remember is when they like came in the stands and played which woke me up.

you guys sound great, it feels a little slow, but then again its 400+ people, and its just personal preference. I really like the low brass lick at 4:45 and the mello soloist!

omg, lol i go to Salem High school next year and we go to this show, the JMU march or champions, every year, we even get to compete with them, then we get to go to the USSBA national championship which they go to to play for us. they are amazing, and i hope to someday be playing for them, great job ty guys

Yes i was there when they performed at Indian River High School too, i'm the brass cap'n there so i was passing out awards at retreat and I got to stand like right in front of their trumpet soloists (i am a trumnpeter myself not obvious huh?) and it was an amazing performance...
