I’ve gone as far as taping a pair of gloves up on a bag like a high guard . My guys started finding way more hooks in sparring because they had to adjust to get around the gloves with the hook

Your feet are often very square on the ropes leaving your centreline very exposed . Unless that’s by design I’d work on that . Cheers from northern bc . Love your channel

Something that should be pointed out is your opponents demeanour change after you Hurt him to the body . Money in the bank kids . You stayed under him well keeping him punching down at you . He’d have been smart to level up with you . Great fight . Good corner advice too 👍👍

They don’t let us wrap our guys/girls hands in Canada for amateur. Drives me nuts . When I was fighting and when I coach pros that wrap time is a big deal for getting your fighter mentally ready

things that helped me a lot as an outside fighter were, :check hooks when they pressure and pivoting with or after the hook. :not committing to the jab too much, the moment i move in with the jab and put my head in danger, i get timed by that overhand right. So i keep my weight on the backfoot and let them land on my jab instead of reaching to hit them. : with my long guard i often touch or put pressure on one arm, which allows me to feel their intentions, cuts down the ability of one of their arms and gage the range. After that i try and cause collisions(punching exactly when they come in)
