Hamburg (Germany) 17.06.2014 (English description see downward) Ein Flug meiner umgebauten Ju-52/1m von Graupner (1,5m Spannweite). Als das Modell in meine Hände kam war die Tragfläche gebrochen, die Triebwerksgondeln und die Nase stark beschädigt. Und dann habe ich einen Bericht über die Ur-Ju-52 gefunden. Die hatte nur einen Motor. Erst die 7. Maschine wurde auf 3 Motoren umgebaut (Ju-52/3m)....

Erstflug meiner Miles M.57 Aerovan. Gebaut nach einem Bauplan von Tony Nijhuis in 1:10. Spannweite 1520mm, Länge 1068mm, Antrieb 2x Dymond 3536 1250KV, Lipo 3S 5000mAh. Doppelrumpf-Variante der Junkers Ju 52 mit 7 Triebwerken wie es sie niemals gab. Es ist eine umkonstruierte Graupner Ju (vorher 1,5m, jetzt 2,27m). Version of the Junkers Ju 52 with double fuselage and 7 engines like they never existed. It is a redisign of Graupner Ju 52 (previously 1.5m, now 2.27m).

Ju 390 use powerplant by BMW 801E engines(deploying about at 1,975hp), They originally planned for BMW 802 or DB 604 or Jumo 223 engine, But three new and over 2,000hp engine has tested to fail and no massive production, They have use BMW 801E engine to give Ju 390, And that try to use BMW 801Q(turbocharger) or 801R(two stage four speed supercharger) give Ju 390 more flying high speed and high altitude to deporting Ju 390 strategic bomber version, But it is never exists upgrade project.

Yes. First flight of scratch build planes is always a litle bit triky.
There were two very frightening looking stalls with two skillful recoveries and a very smooth landing. The flying is superb the airframe itself appears quite unforgiving.
That was a definate torque roll on take off it needs some right thrust,or fit contra props.

Hallo Frank, mein Beileid zum Absturz. Hast du es wieder in Gang gesetzt? Ich habe das Modell auch gebaut und hatte große Schwierigkeiten, es in die Luft zu bekommen. Im Moment baue ich deshalb ein paar Dinge um (anderes Bugfahrwerk und Kreisel drauf, größere Räder, gegenläufige Propeller). Grüße, Jörg
+Joerg Hesse Ist noch in Arbeit (liegt im Keller, Ersatzteile habe ich schon). Landeklappen sind auch zum Starten gut, 10-20° in der Startphase könnten was bringen.
Nice build and sorry to see the crash. I built and flew this rarely modeled subject on my WTFLYR channel a few years ago. I was afraid to fly mine, and finally flew it with a good hand toss, which flew surprisingly well. I think I would be afraid to ROG, without a good run on pavement.
+Bill G A hand toss, maybe it is a little bit to fat. You will Need two hands. Next I will add a little bit flaps for start. That can be helpfully.
Frank73 I know it's a bit large for a hand toss for sure! Mine is 36" span, 19oz AUW, making it a bit easier. I believe I was a bit nose heavy also. I tried the flaps in flight, which required a bit more up elevator. I used near scale sections changing from a NACA 23012 to a 2412 at the tips. It seems to have worked well, with no tip stall issues. I did watch my video again however, and noticed that also it did have a pronounced left hand dip after launch, which was not a trim issue either.
