    I thought my Z had an issue, and I've noticed in this vid, your oil has a red tint to it just like mine. I've combed the planet trying to figure this out. My Z is a 2009 with 250k on it, yes 250,000 miles and not being bias, runs like it just came off the line. But it has been taken care of since its birth, oil is changed every 1000, and I've always seen the oil even after its first few thermal cycles, that it gets that same red tint to it. I've used mobil 1 in all my vehicles for decades, and this car is the only one that gets a red tint to the oil. Very odd. Anyhow, tip for those of you watching this vid, if your ever at a stop and you smell what smells like a freshly blown out candle wick, do as this fella is doing and change your valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube gaskets, because what's happening is the tube gaskets on these are notorious after some higher mileage to leak, and the leaks will fill your spark plug tubes to where the smell your smelling is the oil getting hot and burning in the tubes. In heavier leak cases, the oil will drown the coil on plug causing a misfire. Just fyi in case yall are having the same issue and I wanted to pay it fwd with this tip specifically for these cars.

    Bought one a few weeks ago, installed 3/9/24. These flanges do NOT want to seal. Anyone looking for it...I bought it off of Z1s site. But unless you have experience with this..id have a shop do it. very easy to pull the exhaust off and install this one but getting the flanges to align just right is a pain. They are available again, but who knows how long. In my 370 it drones a lot! Sounds absolutely insane in the higher RPMs though. Car seems to pull harder too. Daily driver friendly I would say 6/10 due to the drone. Not sure if it will change as I drive though. I have read some peoples reviews saying the drone got a little better over time. It decreases the distance of the shifter throw, but also has a much looser feel to it which I personally like (I thought the oem shifter was too notchy for its own good so much so that it was difficult to get a physical feel for the gears). So, about the threadlock....Just like with front arms, when you adjust them, you lock them in with the nut. There is practically zero chance it will unscrew itself. You don't need threadlock there. If you are putting threadlock anywhere - then it's on the BOLTS that hold the camber arm. The camber arm itself has locking nuts on either side of the spinning middle part that adjusts length - and those nuts get stuck on it so there's no need for threadlock there.

  • @filip000
    @filip000 Год назад

    I think that it's MUCH easier to just remove the sway bar brackets. It's 4 bolts in total, and the sway bar will be hanging from the small tie rods, so there's really nothing to it. And that way you're not bending anything nor risking problems with threads on the bolts.

  • @Keemichael65
    @Keemichael65 Год назад

      @Emil Amiriyan so mine was an exhaust leak that recently just fixed itself where my header goes into my cat. I could feel it on start up. I just unscrewed all the screws and re sat them. It turned off like 150 miles later. This code is a nightmare

      @1032tv the oem one will fix it because it's literally just a bar with no adjustment possible. I would just make sure to check all the bars back there as there should be 2 on each side the alignment should tell you if anything else is majorly wrong though.

    Hey there! Sounds great!! Any drone at all? if so, at what RMP and is it tolerable?

    • @BBnissanZ
      @BBnissanZ Год назад

      When I first got it there was a solid drone at like 70 or 80 and above right in the 3 to 3.5k rpm area. I used to make jokes that it sounded like a whale on the inside but it also only drones when you have the gas applied. If you take the gas off the drone completely dissipates.

    Yes put the thread lock on the bolts, thread lock is never a bad thing just know what strength you are using lol or you might never get it apart, it reduces vibrations meaning the bolt won’t come loose from the frame don’t use a tone just a drop or too for a medium bolt

    UPDATE it did come back on but for the majority of people this will fix your issue. If it doesn't look for leaks, fuel issues, spark plug fouling, ect. I think mine came back on due to a failing tune. For most people that won't apply.

    My G37 has the same code. im getting 1.9 on bank 1 and 2.2 on bank 2. Im thinking it might be an exhaust leak but i have replaced the gaskets already. I could possibly switch sensors and see bank one to bank tow and see if the code changes but theyre are pretty difficult to get to. Ive heard of issues of tiny cracks on the converter to look out for.

      @@BBnissanZ just looked under the car today. I do have an exhaust leak on one side of the flange where my Test pipe connects to the exhaust manifold. Weird since I do see the new gaskets that the shop installed along with new nuts and bolts. I made sure the nuts and bolts were all tight. I'm thinking that the flange on either the test pipe or exhaust manifold might be warped. I could remove the pipe and add a sealant with the gasket or try and put two gaskets.
