My bike ran perfectly a week ago and got washed and put away for a week . Now it won’t start. No spark and has 4 Long + 2 Short blinks on FI light? According to manual that’s “oil pump” failure. Any ideas?
I have the same situation with my tpi, no spark and same efi code, sombody can help
Mine is fixed now. It was crankcase sensor. Search those youtube vids. Easy replacement. Good luck Brother
You did a great job diagnosing, fixing, and spreading knowledge through this video!
Great stuff. Very helpful video
I saw another video where a guy loosens the tranny mount to get to the other 2 bolts removed near the drain hole/frame
I really appreciate you putting this stuff out there, as you say you are not a mechanic, neither am I, but I do like doing the work on my cars myself. Having said that the first thing you should always do before draining fluids with the intent to replace them is remove the fill plug because if for some strange reason it won't come off you have just drained all of the fluid from the transmission, or transfer case, or rear differential and have no means of filling it back up.
Great advice!
The most important information here is it takes about 15 mins to warm up the transmission. Most videos on RUclips (even the legendary AMD one) doesn't give any approximate time, so you may think you're doing something wrong when you try it first time, just because after waiting for 5-10 mins nothing happens.
Nice video but for those of us who are not great mechanics, and have never done the procedure - it would have been nice to have videod each step - like taking the pump off - taking the clamp off - taking the screen out and putting in and then reconnecting the clamp and reinstalling the pump - it would help for step by step instructions for us not so shadetree mechanics. thanks.
I appreciate the feedback, will try to capture more of the action in future videos. Thanks
HI Antoni where do you get is bearing ?. they are come with two of Center and Front ?
I bought the carrier bearings on rockauto.com. There are 2 carrier bearings on these 3 piece driveshafts.
@@antonio0072007 what size is pulley you have?
I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you are referring to the puller I really don’t know because I rented the only puller they had at autozone.
@@antonio0072007 can you tell me bearing is front one and Center one they’re same size inner or different I looking for long time can not get it
On my van, They are the same. Here is the link to the part on rockauto. www.rockauto.com/?carcode=1503180&parttype=12743
It's actually due every 40,000 K
Great job.
I wonder if a wobbly socket or jointed socket would fit for that tight spot?
Possibly, I didn’t have one and was about to buy one to try it before I realized my boxed end wrench would work.
Thanks for the video, really good even though you just narrated and didn't show the work. Your good at explaining! Why not replace the lower ball joint while doing all this? I've heard they go out. And rather than just grease for the sensor, why not anti-seize?
Thanks for the feedback trying to balance filming the steps that might not be intuitive with keeping the video short. I had no issues with ball joints so didn’t replace but your logic is sound, this would be a good time to replace them. As for the wheel speed sensor hole, I think grease or anti-seize would work. Use whatever you think will last longer; Without threads to keep the anti-seize in place I don’t think it would last longer than grease.
Hi I have yfz50 mines doing the exact same thing/scraping. Atv was sat in storage from last summer got it out 3 weeks ago and this was happening I took cvt (left side) clutch housing case of to find a lot of stone mud and dust and my secondary sheave (drive) clutch as got a lot of play will this be the scraping noise? Ur video got me thinking all bearings it only happens wen quad is pushed or drove. Any answers will be appreciated
Try draining the transmission oil, if it contains water than the bearings are probably corroded and will need to be changed.
Thanks, that saved me a bunch of time. I had to whack the shit out of the knuckle to get it to drop off the ball joint end, enough that I ended up propping the lower arm with another jack stand... Appreciate you posting this.
Where did you get your parts? You talk about online but where specifically did you get them? I find this video very helpful. It's nice to see someone get straight to the point without a lot of fluff to keep you guessing. I now also have to replace these. I'm curious what each side cost and then what the total was. Thanks again!
Normally I get all my sprinter parts from europarts-sd.com, however, on big ticket items I usually do a quick google search of the part number to check if I can buy it cheaper somewhere else. In the case of these knuckles I actually found them for $277 each on buymercedespartsnow.com. I listed the part numbers for my van in the description of this video. The abs wheel speed sensors were about $45 each, again I did a google search of the part number on found the cheapest price on carpartsdiscount.com
Started my yz450 18 today no issues. Then Switched the spark plug to iridium. Also found out the battery was on low. Got it charged. And now the bike won't start. It cranks, however its like the starter clutch is just spinning. before all this happened. Last week I was riding and I lost the oil plug. Since I was riding on the road I just topped it up. You reckon some of that oil i lost blocked anything in the starter?
I would start by removing the starter from the bike and hooking up 12v power to it and make sure it actually spins the little gear.
@@antonio0072007really appreciate the quick reply sir! You're awesome! Might I ask, any easy way to remove it? Or just as you've shown on thd video? Cheers!
You have to remove the exhaust to make room to get to the starter, it’s not too bad of a job.
@@antonio0072007 Just realised there is no fuse on the left of the relay
Do you HAVE to pull the big cover JUST TO ADJUST the valves??
I see no other way to do it. You have to turn the crankshaft and camshaft to get the piston to top dead center to check the valve clearance. Because of the centrifugal clutch you cannot place the transmission in gear, turn the rear wheels and turn the crankshaft. The crankshaft will not move using this method. Therefore you have to pull the clutch cover and spin the clutch on the engine side by hand. Hopefully that makes sense to you.
ive been putting off this job and approaching 300 hours on my 20 model 300tpi. glad to see the screen is so large as it can probably take a bit of crap without clogging. as i understand the 18 and 19 model tpi's dont have this screen so im guessing those pumps fail more frequently. read that a well working pump with some hours on it can be safer than risking a manufacturing issue on a new pump though.. those pumps run thousands of miles on scooters all over europe i read
@hkk210 does gasgas ec250 2023 2t have oil screen in oil tank ?

Get a wobble extension (or two) for your socket to get around things that are slightly in the way. (Unlike you I am a mechanic.)😊
how is the coil on the rear shock not shaking? i can see the sag settings in the rear shock is almost at the end of the thread adjuster.
Thank you 🇺🇲
Can you add a pic of your sticker I've looked on my 2021 an it's doesn't have the sticker any where 😢 the manual found on line says go see dealer for valve clearance check
It should be .06-.09mm for intake and exhaust clearance.
thank you antonio
I don't bother checking it at temp. What I do is measure what comes out and what I put back in to be exactly the same. Never had an issue.
I only buy used vehicle so i have no idea if the amount of fluid in the transmission is the correct amount so i cannot use your method.
Very Good video Antonio, I think we could collaborate, hit me up!
Awesome video- question, is that oil seal solid rubber? Mine appears to be leaking into the cvt case- the whole inside was soaked in oil and the transmission only drained 200ml when it holds 350. I’m surprised it didn’t get on belt cause it was operating normally. Thanks for the help.
The oil seal is a metal ring covered in rubber
@@antonio0072007 I'm considering buying one of these to pull my pull behind grass cutter, do you think it would do such ok??
It would probably work, the atv can haul me and my boys around together just fine, plenty of power.
Great job man, very helpful. Thanks man
Thank you
the oil pump cost only 40 dollars ???? plz tell me where you buy those that cheap !
I misspoke in the video. I paid $124 + tax.
Helped some, but you skipped a lot of stuff and left me confused.
My bad, whats your question?
thanks for the video
How did you level the car in your garage? I want to do this but my drive way isn't leveled. Do i need to use a level gauge and where should i put it on the car to get the perfect leveled position so i can get a correct reading on my oil.
I had jack stands positioned under the front frame lift points just behind the front wheels. I used a single floor jack to lift the rear of the vehicle using the floor jack lift point (its a tow hook looking thing under the center rear of the van). I placed a level under the bottom door sill just to the rear of the jack stands.
@@antonio0072007 thank you for replying i hope the procedure is the same on 4 cylinder siennas as mine is non v6 engine.

@@chocotoynk2931 yeah I just did mine yesterday. I already had a magnetic digital angle finder. I was level to .5 degrees just sitting in garage. I put it right on the trans pan. You could put a bubble water level on it to to check

did you replace the drain bolt gasket/washer? If so, what type would i need....2011 Sienna
I did replace it and i still had a leak, had to use teflon tape on the threads of the drain bolt
Also had the drain plug losening problem. Turns to 90° easily but need pliers for 180
Good video, but your sound goes up and down making it difficult to hear what you're saying at times.
Should you just drain for the other hose? Correct me if I’m wrong. In your method your draining the outlet line of the trans. I’m assuming the other line is the return line from the cooler. If you use that line to drain, you would be able to flush the cooler while doing this.
In my method i am draining the outlet line of the trans cooler, its the line closest to the driver side and exits the radiator looking trans cooler.
awesome video ty
What if it idles, but dies as soon as I give it gas?

Si quite la transmisión de mi Sienna 2005 FWD y la volví a poner ¿Cuántos litros de aceite lleva? De antemano muchas gracias
Mas o menos 8 litros
Antonio what 24mm socket you used to remove the fill plug? 12 point or 6 point?
6 point
I just wanted to share with you my experience today. I was 50/50 in deciding whether to change my transmission fluid of my 2011 Sienna with 224,773 miles on the original Trans fluid. It was previously owned by my sister & always on time with all the maintenance at the dealership except the transmission fluid because dealership says it’s sealed & lifetime transmission fluid. I was only able to drain 1.5 quarts of the old transmission, filled 2 quarts, did the process of checking the right temp & drained excess trans fluid. Happy to say so far after the test drive, that the van is driving normally. Btw, it was driving ok, no issues prior to Trans fluid replacement. The old Fluid was brown & did not smell burnt. 😅
Good strategy of only draining small amount of fluid. Do that frequently (maybe every 30k miles) and you should be good.
Thanks Antonio your video really helped me gives confidence to just go ahead & do it!
My 2011 Sienna has 225,000 miles on original Transmission fluid, would you change the fluid? Thanks.
Are you having any transmission issues? How long do you plan on keeping the van?
I have 2011 Sienna & just practice this morning the temp Checking of Trans fluid. The van was sitting in the garage overnight. It took about 15 minutes for the D light to come on solid & another 16 minutes for the D light to start flashing. So you definitely have more than enough time to do your proper Fluid level Check!
Thank you for the video. You referenced getting a Mercedes remanufactured driveshaft. Where did you get this and did you exchange your old core?
I’m sorry, you covered this at the end, thank you for the info.
No worries, i shopped around online for the driveshaft but found that all the prices were roughly the same so i ordered from my local mercedes dealer which facilitated the core return
Thanks for the info! Where did you buy your pan gasket and fluid from? Any online Toyota suppliers that you recommend? Thanks again
The filter and pan gasket i purchased aftermarket from rockauto, not the same quality as oem to be honest but i change them every 60,000 miles and have never had any issues. The fluid is OEM Toyota ATF WS, i recommend you stick with toyota recommended fluid. If i recall correctly i think i found the best price on ebay.
