I primarily use Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted 1:1 or Gtechniq T2. For this truck I'm pretty sure I used the Hyper Dressing 😎

New vehicles are definitely quicker on the prep process! I one-step 90% of vehicles and about 99% of new vehicles. I've occasionally still seen some wild stuff on "brand new" vehicles from sitting on the lot for a while or issues during transport.

CSL is a one layer coating , exo used to be a two layer coating, but the new version is one layer . I have used CSL around 100 times and honestly I have never seen the benefit of topping it with exo . Csl by itself has worked for me amazingly well. I’m getting over four years easily with it on daily driver cars ..

@@punkr6 i thought of this two as I gain experience about this coatings overtime, but you know "marketing" shits insists that the more the coats the better it is. So I do that shlt, even tho i knew there wasnt any benefits of it

CSL is a composite based coating, not quartz based, which means it has no benefits of being stacked in layers with itself. You'd be wasting time and product to do several layers of CSL. The new version of Exo (Version 5) only requires one layer and I have seen some great performance out of it!

@@punkr6 I used to agree and rarely topped with Exov4, but the new version has performed much better so far. If you maintain your vehicle well and wash regularly CSL by itself will be great, but the new Exo is a nice addition for sure!

Thank you! So the light I am using is definitely brighter than the scan grips and works great for this scenario. I purchased it straight from a local distributer and it was unbranded at the time. @@high-defdetailing1485 Thank you so much. I actually ordered the LC last night. I am having trouble finding that sweet filter diffuser though.( I think that's my problem - too much direct light, not enough diffusion like a cloudy day would provide.)

You would not want to do any polishing or paint correction on matte paint. Just panel wipe and coat!

Yep! Works great on any color of mats. I’d recommend Super Clean (purple bottle) from Walmart for cleaning. I’d dilute it down with water though so it’s not as strong. You can put the mat back in the car as soon as it’s dry to the touch!

Thank you! If the arches are any type of painted material yes you can. If it’s textured plastics a dedicated plastic coating would work better.

Only one coat! You won’t see any difference with layering CSL. Exo is what you want to use when adding a second layer!

If it was just a spray wax type product even a light enhancement polish will take those spots right off. Make sure you wash the vehicle and clay it first!

If it works for you, that's great! I'd recommend switching to Gwash for your soap and adding some sort of ceramic spray sealant afterwords instead of using the wash and wax soap however. You'll definitely see more longevity with your coating this way!

@@high-defdetailing1485 Thanks I did go ahead and by the G wash, best to keep things uniform as possible. I do have a quick detailer from the Chemical Guys it's not the G tech one but their stuff is pretty good, am I ok to use this one on my vehicle, cheers for the info.

I'd recommend the enhancement polish for sure. No need to go nuts on your dailly driver unless you're really particular. If you were planning to install a ceramic coating I would for sure do a One-Step or Two-step though.

@@MlleVB One and done would be great for a one-step. I've never used it personally but it looks like it would do the trick. I'd use a medium cut foam polishing pad and call it a day! Polishing twice a year with that shouldn't do much to your clearcoat 👍🏻

I made this for my customers at my shop and we install Gtechniq coatings so I wanted to keep it simple for them. You can use whatever brand you like as the categories of the products are all the same! Use a good quality soap, an iron remover, an all purpose cleaner, a detail spray or ceramic spray sealant, and a glass cleaner.

If you're worried about the dressing being slick I wouldn't risk it at all. As long as you use something that's water based and you "knock it down" with a microfiber towel afterwards you should be good to go!

You can actually let it sit for a while before buffing it off with zero issues. If you didn't buff it off at all though it would cure very unevenly and not look good!

I've let it sit longer than 5 minutes before buffing it off sometimes and never had an issue

For sure! I like the greenworks electric pressure washers for at home use. The 2000 psi one is a very well rounded and affordable pressure washer. That's what I started my business out with and it was a workhorse!

Hi there! I'm glad the video was helpful! Those are some nice towels and will work great when leveling the coating. I've never washed towels right out of the pack :) It's more than likely a disclaimer from the manufacturer to make sure there's no dye or residue left from the factory. A good solid shake and visual inspection is all I do when I pull them out of the bag! Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Just figure out what a fair labor rate is for you and then add in your product costs and any overhead expenses you may have and that should get you pretty close!

@@high-defdetailing1485 I got the gtechniq Crystal Syrum Ultra. Bought Ceramic Gwash, and C2V3 for my future car washes. Haven't had to wash it just yet, stays clean so much longer than it used to!

To wash cars? Certainly not! However if I'm paying someone a lot of money to perform extensive paintwork and protective services on my expensive vehicle I sure would hope they have training, certification, insurance, and a properly run business.

In this case, this is a single layer of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. You can put on a top layer of Exo, but Crystal Serum Ultra is so strong by itself we get great results with just a single layer!

I know right!? I love how easy it is to apply and how it darkens the surfaces up JUST enough and holds over time.

@@high-defdetailing1485 For me it has only positives, ease of application, the lack of scent (i hate scented dressings) the minimal darkening, and applied it over a month ago and holds the same as the day i applied it! For me it's the stuff ill ALWAYS go to when dressing and protecting my interior! Thank you for the video! Cheers!

That is not true! Ceramic coatings definitely help keep your vehicle stay looking cleaner, and they are MUCH easier to wash, but you still have to wash them!

Great question and I know it sounds weird right? I often ask this to customer's b/c if they're going to never hand wash their vehicle and only take it through automatic tunnel washes with brushes for example I would not recommend them wasting their money on the top tier ceramic coating package. No need to pay the extra for a professional coating if it's just going to get swirled up and degraded from bad car washes. Maybe some sales people would disagree but I try and be honest and up front
