Well, to say the least the weather this spring in NJ has been very unusual. Despite bad conditions we were able to get out and get on some of the first fluke of the season. Pretty interesting day of fishing, I would have never expected there to be so many fish stacked around this sunken barge we were fishing. Nothing big was caught but there was a lot of action!!

yea, I've seen people having issues mounting it inside the boat causing vertical lines. Also if you're not moving
Can you cast far with this reel?
Go on the Reel test. Casting reel battle. It gets second in the cast battle and beats all the other Shimanos with only 1 ball bearing and it's the cheapest reel they sell. It's only 50 bucks.

How does a fish finder work when you end up casting out? I have a Kayak and was thinking on getting a Finder for the ocean but for lakes when you cast out you are pretty much casting way past the finders view?

Love Fluke fishing, had a Good day today In Barnegat Bay, off Oyster creek. 11 or 12 short fluke, 3 keepers, 18 1/2 incher , 21 incher and a 23 inch Fluke. 4 blues, up to 5lbs. Bunch of searobin, afterward anchored up and caught 9-10 blowfish. Very nice day

Try over at the BI and BB buoey in Barnegat Bay.. Been having decent action on blues , mainly 1-5 lbers, but fun on light tackle. Not much luck with weakfish. Just a few. ..
