Tottenham edged out Liverpool in a controversial finale to their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
Lucas Bergvall gave Spurs a narrow advantage to take to Anfield - but Liverpool were left raging that the 18-year-old was on the pitch to make the decisive contribution four minutes from time.
Bergvall was on a yellow card when he caught Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas late in an incident not seen by referee Stuart Attwell.
Tsimikas was still off the pitch when Bergvall scored moments later, prompting a furious reaction from head coach Arne Slot, who was cautioned.

The way Ange masterminded that win with the Spurs 3rd team against the best team in Europe rips the soul out of the Angeout brigade. And it shows in all your faces. Well played Ange, sticking it to the haters 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@chrisfox9346 one game
Liverpool didn't start playing until Slot made substitutions. We will have to play better in the 2nd leg than we did on Wednesday.
I made a comment on another channel official Spurs site saying can we please defend, defend, defend and occasionally attack. It's not rocket science. Don't leave gaping holes in the defence in midfield. That seemed to work so much better😅 unbelievable showing from the young boys, especially the Kingski in goal, How confident was he? His distribution is shot-stopping. He's organisation amazing for such a young lad. Hope Bent gets better soon
To a man can't fault Spurs for their effort, think Liverpool were poor and were expecting to nick a win/draw to take back to Anfield but we nicked it instead.
not for effort maybe, i'd be faulting Bissouma and Werner for ability though
Ange is a failure. Levy only wants failure. (Sacking an over achieving manager, followed by sacking a serial winner before the Cup Final and then not backing another serial winner more than proves this.) So it is a perfect marriage made in Hell:
Marvellous seeing Ange winning with Conteball tactics and watching all the Angesexuals drooling about it
liverpool were terrible which made us luck ok, its called papering over the cracks
When have we seen a proper cup performance the last time? Great game, lets keep doing the same bois
So. Did Ange change his tactics or did we defend a bit better. Spence, Gray, Dragusin and even Porro defended well.
A definite tactic change. Been a long time since I watched our FB's stay at home that much. You could tell PP wanted to dance up the sidelines so much but stayed at home. Spence too, who played a fantastic match. We didn't leave Dragon and Archie back there to fend off a high power offense on their own. If we played this way more, certainly against some of the mid-level and bottom feeders, let alone the big boys, we wouldn't have dropped as many points and top-4 would be our reality. We need to get our FB's to know when the right time to run forward is, cause it shouldn't be carte blanche.
Are we all Ange in now. Chopping and changing like the wind. What we saw was Ange ball Plan C.
What was Plan B? 😅
@@mariaphilips2197 Ange doesn't have a Plan b we all know that.
I feel more optimistic about him after that performance showing a much more solid defence like we did against City. Need to see more of this though to be convinced we should stick with him for a while.
This is still all Plan A, but smarter, setting up against opposition that we know will have more of the ball and we light on players
It’s one win. Which only happens sometimes. We need consistency. And of course, let’s see what happens at anfield and also on Sunday
He didn't change anything spurs dont have are Frist too centre backs fit also ee are lacking in the midfield box to box man coys
Yeah, need to get the sound engineers in guys.
Sorry but ‘the boy ‘ sound bad so checking out

Very low quality sound, get it sorted Boy Hotspur 😊😊
Don't get carried away lads 😮 Remember the second leg is at Anfield and we hardly ever if ever Win there 😮 Not taking anything away from the youngsters but it's only half -time 😮 But that goalkeeper has to be our first choice goalkeeper going forward. Also Liverpool were Awful 😞
A very sensible reply sir
There was this Johnny Cardoso guy. Suddenly everything has gone quiet about him.
How can such a big mic sound so bad?

Transfermarkt puts Brandon Auston's market value at €600k
Best performance Ive seen in a long long time folks. Spence, Solanke both put a shift in. Kinsky for a lad literally hours off the flight looked more solid, comfortable & assured than Vicario & Forster has even been. Baby steps... On another positive thought, in a months time for the away leg, we should have some boys back from injury and maybe 1 or 2 additions. COYS.
Did we play "Ange Ball" with the "Arteta ball"
Angeball is dead. The Aussie bloke realised his job was on the line. Remember when Hojbjerg was ostracised for clearing the ball 50 yards, just the once. He now plays in a warmer climate. Spence was taking the piss first half - running the game from left back with plenty of tricks right in front of the bloke who didnt pick him for 65 games. Made me laugh. Second half he was itching to take on the Liverpool defence single handed but had obviously been warned against it. Gray was superb again - playing out of position on middle of defence against players 6 inches bigger than him and several kilos heavier. That outside of the right foot clearance for the disallowed goal was sensational.Jury still out on Bergvall. Plenty of skill but needs to realise he is playing with big boys and they might bite back. Why wasnt Van Dijks deliberate stamp on the calf reviewed. Not even a booking. So Ange took the shackles off and the guys performed brilliantly. Has he learned his lesson - and all counts for nothing if we lose the second leg. We also suffer from new manager syndrome as both Hammers and Toffees are under fresh management. Playing Tamworth on an all weather pitch at minus 5 will be no walkover.
Hahahahah what a clown 🤡
@@MrTokyoboy21 Who is the clown..??
Ange's job was never on the line. He changed tactics because it was the right thing to do in the circumstances. Ange does not listen to losers he does his own thing.
@@camtinley He has a worse record than those being sacked around him.
@@keithbrowning3899 Fact - The English are very quick to want to sack managers Fact - The English do not win at sport. Those two facts are related.

Good team performance last night. I think Son is carrying an injury or he is just a spent force. My MOTM was Spence. There was a lot of good performances. Good result but we will be under real pressure at Anfield. I just wish we had creative wingers. Also I hope Yang and Moore get game time this weekend
There's a question mark about why Ange never played him before he had to. He's easily our best full back. I'd like to see Spence and Porro on the right

Green shoots boys, Green shoots, just remember this is a rebuild, Quite telling Ange said in an interview he hopes hes still here in a couple of years time when this squad hes putting together really come to maturity. What we saw in this game was a team striving to play the way he wants but showing more intelligence and nous to cope with situations as they unfolded, it will evolve!

@@THEBOYHOTSPURsurely u have had more than one game already. We had some great games and not so great games this season. Injuries have derailed last few weeks but you can see the effort is still there from the players
Redknapp wasn't wearing the Pony kit when he was a Spurs player...I remember him being around when Kappa was the kit supplier
He was a Hoddle signing (late adidas/ early kappa era)...& contributed very little
Vicario has been linked to Juve. I could easily see him make that move in the summer. Spurs make a bit more than what they paid for him. He's 29, probably wants a move back to one of the big Italian sides.
The audio quality from the man on the far right, which is usually the least problematic, is now the worst. Sounds like he is in a car that is sinking slowly underwater, the driver having driven into a harbour in despair.
Tried some headphones with a built-in mic. Experiment over!!
You can have Chris Cowlin I suppose.
Ive cashed in my profits on Sporting Index now as I think as Ange actually changed tactics, they might have arrested the slump somewhat..but still its a joke
Can i suggest you get a primark T-shirt and gucci mic, awful sound, clearly its a big one! But still love this show good job
It always makes me so happy when a new episode drops. I am very very hooked. Wish the audio was better. I think that a person who never tuned in to this channel before finally does, he might get discouraged after few seconds because of the sound quality. I believe the audience will grow after you fix it, because content and entertainment wise you are far ahead of every other spurs incel podcast.
I'm looking into buying a better mic. Any suggestions? Don't want to break the bank.
@@tonyvaughan5017i am not a microphone expert and I am the same, also didnt want to spend much on it. Sometimes I narrate short art videos, and I use a tiny microphone which is connected to my phone by bluetooth. I think they call them lavarier type, you clip it on your shirt or put it on the table, aprox 30-40cm distance from the mouth. I am sure you can connect those to pc as well, just find the right type. In a quiet environment (at home for example) they make voice sound clear and block the noise. I got mine for 20€ on amazon and I am very happy with it, makes massive difference. I also heard about the cheapest mic, called something like “amazon mini microphone” and its probably priced 9,99. People thought its a joke, but aparently it performs surprisingly well. But that one you might have to hold with your index and thumb in front of your mouth when you talk, which could look a bit ridiculous hahaha
very low quality sound men, get it sorted
Liverpool were poor with several loose passes but Spurs were very dangerous going forward. Kinsky was excellent with v.good distribution in this game.

When the south stand sang Ange's name when Liverpool went 5-1 up tearing us apart lost me the Spurs fanbase
You chaps are on my wavelength. Been a fan for 50 odd years now. It’s quite strange how our fan base are 50/50 over Ange. I want him gone because he is an amateur way out of his depth at Spurs. I get the impression he is hanging on for as long as possible for his nice pension pot. If he was a proper manager he would have managed at the top level by now. I don’t understand the Ange in mob, maybe they simply don’t want another new manager/rebuild etc. Maybe they can’t forget the first 10 games under him when everything looked great. I’d like Spurs to poach the Bournemouth manager who is young and not stubborn. Whether he’d want to work under Levy I don’t know.

I gave up months back. Levy wont sack the bluffer as long as there is the Europa. I hope I am wrong, now I can watch Spurs and not give a toss.
Our fanbase has been taken over by Auzzies that nothing about the club.
The hugfest with the wolves players in the tunnel before the game, shows us exactly what kind of warriors we have in our team. Weak minded, bang average footballers.
