    Never thought a ballet about a horny fawn that tries to seduce a nymph, fails, and then jerks off with one of her veil could look so classy.

    I prefer the ballet be true to the original story. Scherezade did not die according to the story. I would love to see the ballet based on the stories in Scherezade.

    Not only Liepa's choreography is referential... the Bolshoi Orchestra plays, though incomplete, one of the best versions EVER! Sergey Stadler's violin is so poignant, so tragic ... one of the greatest soloists this music has ever had!

    Thank you for this magnificent performance! Scheherazade is such a beautiful, sadly tragic, ballet, but what music! I just love Andris and Ilze Liepa. Their dad was Maris Liepa, one of the Bolshoi's greatest dancers, whom I had the pleasure of seeing in NYC when they were on tour there. The performance was "Spartacus" and his "Crassus" was a marvel. Again, thank you!

    Yes, 26:50 - it is like the dread-hand of inexorable fate returning to cause mayhem and bloodshed after the sensuousness and eroticism and passion of Scheherazade and her dancing lover. All the work of that vile and revolting and woman-hating advisor to the Sultan, whispering his poisonous hatred into the Sultan's ears. The epitome of envy. The scumbag adviser is the quintessence of a woman-hating male narcissist - "a man with a hundred hand-mirrors" - with a scarcely hidden but very twisted and fragile bloke-bloke eroticism. If I were the sultan, I would have had the stinking dog flayed and racked upon a thousand wheels of screaming agony for his crimes! With infinite pleasure of revenge in my eyes and heart. Super dramatic. love, andrea

    What would european culture be without Russian influence .... truly magical music and production.

    • @andreapandypetrapan
      @andreapandypetrapan Год назад

      Indeed - there is no European Culture without St Petersburg or Moscow. Russian music, Russian architecture, Russian literature and poetry, Russian politics, the irrepressible and eternal energy of the Slavic peoples! More to the point, If it were not for the bravery of Soviet tank crews, many astonishingly tough women, at the battle of Kursk, we would all be speaking German or on the way to extermination camps. Compare the richness and maturity and philosophical depth and fecundity of Mother Russia with those juvenile marauders in Washington and New York and Chicago. Gangsters in charge of their shiney and nuclear armed republic. It is like turning from a dinner table of adults, where Russian and French and Polish and English and Mandarin might all be spoken, to a kindergarten of spoilt and malicious children. From the smile of reason and wise irony and culture, to the grimaces of the insane and the antics of incipient mass-murders. No wonder so many ex-Nazi party members were so much at home in 1950s and 1960s AMerica. Not least Werner von Braun. Love andrea

    Cuando el erotólogo y escritor *Rubén Monasterios* -en su programa radial de _«Rubén y sus corazones solitarios»_ por RQ 910 AM- hablaba acerca de _«El espectro de la rosa»_ , él menciona que hay una escena impresionante que es, cuando el espectro ya se retira y sale volando por la ventana haciendo un _"grand jeté"_ ... Claro, él lo describe y yo me estoy imaginando que el márgen inferior de la ventana queda a una altura "normal" de, el pecho de uno [yo mido 1.70 mt de estatura] y cuando he visto este ballet, resulta ser que, el márgen inferior de ésa ventana llega muy, muy abajo... casi a nivel del suelo. En mi mente de _Corin Tellado_ yo me estoy haciendo la idea de que, ese _"grand jeté"_ es una vaina súper-mega-requete-guaooo y resulta ser que, es una cosa un poco más modesta. Mi Twitter es: *@ChaneGarcia*
