Nice one Phil it really is stunning along there. We are so blessed, we have so much beauty here in the Northeast. Looks like you had a perfect winters day to get out and about. Just over from Low force you will find Bowleas, thats worth checking out, gibsons cave and summergill force. 👍👍
thanks for tuning in and the advice, I will definitely check those places out for sure 😉👍
Great video Phil you captured Stanhope well. It's an amazing place, Ashes quarry is beautiful especially when you get to the top of the moor. Its nice by the station, we enjoyed a train driving experience there last year that was fun. I'm guessing you had a caravan at Heatherview. We have a caravan further up the Dale in Westgate, by the way the scones from that bakers are delicious, especially the cheese ones. Enjoy your wanders buddy, our paths may cross some time 👍👍
yes mate, loved heatherview. it’s where my love of the outdoors all started. amazing places around there to check out and relive. I hope we do bump into each other, for a cuppa and a natter one day 😉👍
Stunning
Thank you! 😊
Who doesn’t like a good dwarf story! Subscribed mate. Maybe we’ll cross paths one day.

Great video Phil. A bit of nostalgia for you looking at the camp site - good old days camping as a kid 👍🏼. Did the same - know the feeling well. Stunning location and great route. Great story about the cave. Keep up the great work. All the best 😊👍🏼
thanks Craig, It brought back some fun memories as you say. it’s just great to get out and learn something on every adventure. take care😉👍
Great video. lots of wet heavy snow there thats for sure. snow is good for the landscape it seeps slowly into the ground as it thaws. we get dry snow here all winter from around October to about May ish . keep the great videos coming nice to see the British countryside again.
Thanks Dave, hope you’re well..it’s great to get such good feedback, especially from way across the pond. stay tuned 😉👍
what a beautiful nature. 👍
thanks so much for watching 😉👍
Great video..👏👍
thanks again my friend, really appreciate you taking the time to watch, glad you enjoyed it😉👍
Great video. Remember going there as a child…both with my family and I went to camp at Middleton with the Brownies 😂. Never seen it in the winter though…beautiful. Funny though I don’t remember ever seeing that much snow when we lived there. Is it the same in the towns? Maybe there was always snow in the countryside I just never went in the winter.
I went to Middleton camp as well at school, was an excellent place for outdoor weeks away. it was pretty think in most of the towns here a week ago. bit of an arctic blast.👍
Cracker this mate!
High Force is the exact spot where Mr @HuntontheTrails proposed 35 years ago. Lovely to see it in the winter snow. 😊

This takes me back to when I did this stretch of Pennine Way a few years back, and ended up that day with the views of High Cup Nick. Beautiful, beautiful area. When I was there, I had to deal with 40mph winds though, so you got it more peaceful! :)
nice a peaceful it was mate, I’ve been when it’s blustery, but 40mph must have been a challenge 😉👍
