Believe it or not I can not wait for your info, it will weigh heavily on my opinion.
I will definitely give it a try once I have it!
@ShorrThing Thank you ❤️
I would love that! Except I’d have to start tracking zero point foods
@@placebo11000 I think you have to make it work for you? We will see?
Yeah, I guess there’s no other way to get a accurate picture of macros without tracking everything. But I’ve read from people who have the beta version that the macros are easy enough to ignore if you don’t want to use them.
Please try it out and let us know what you think 😊
Ok I will! I hear they will roll it out to everyone by the new year so once I have the update I will give it a shot!
Sounds great ❤ Thankyou 😊
Do you feel better eating meats or when you used to eat more plant based?
I feel more full for longer eating meat (or maybe just higher protein...it's hard to tell) but that's about it.
I called WW and found out that they are going to add back to the zero point foods, potatoes, oatmeal, corn.......more like the purple plan, I am so happy. Purple plan seems to work for me....since I eat plant based.
Well that's VERY interesting! Did they say anything about when this would happen? I know they tend to release new plans with the new year. This one might get me back to WW!
I poked around a little bit more and it sounds like they’re going to also start showing macros and calories! This is very exciting.
Don’t know if things have changed but I have recently come back from Japan. I purchased the JR pass with green car. I had planned out my itinerary and knew I would be getting my money’s worth out of the pass. One of my trips I went from Tokyo to Hiroshima I had already seen that it would be a longer trip with a change if I had of went with the standard JR pass, now I don’t know if this is new or not but you can buy a nozomi/mizuho upgrade ticket for the JR pass which wasn’t all that expensive to buy and allows you to use the faster direct trains but you have to purchase the upgrade each time you want to use the faster trains. As the Tokyo to Hiroshima was the longest journey I made I only purchased it the one time and then used the Hikari trains on my way back to Tokyo as I was stopping off at Osaka and Kyoto for a couple of days on the return trip. As for the comfort of the green cars it was exactly the same on all trains I used so I don’t know what you mean it’s a different experience on the Nozomi compared to the other trains. Now I will admit I only used the Kodoma train twice but that was just on a short return trip from Tokyo to Atami so I can’t comment on what that is like long distance but would suggest when people are using the JR pass make sure they pick the Hikari trains only if they don’t want to pay for a Nozomi upgrade as the Kodoma trains are the ones that stop at ALL stations Hikari stop at less stations than Kodoma but more than Nozomi
The Nozomi upgrade option is a change since I published this video.
To travel between districts in Tokyo and going to Mt. Fujis is it worth a JR pass? How about the Yamanote line? It seems pretty convinient and it’s covered by the JR Pass.
I wouldn’t think it would be worth the price. The Yamanote line is a local Tokyo subway train so rides will be about 250 yen. But you should definitely use a JR pass calculator to verify.
Pro tip: If you buy your JR Pass from official JR website, you DO NOT need to reserve your tickets on the day of your journey. You can reserve online for all your trains for up to 30 days in advance and pick up all your reserved tickets at once when you pick up the pass. All I did was pick up my JR pass along with my reserved tickets on the day of arriving at the airport. I was given all my printed reserved seat tickets at once and I didn’t have to go to any kiosk at any point in time. About changing trains, you can easily avoid this by buying individual tickets from Nagoya to Osaka and Osaka to Hiroshima so that you can leave some time before switching to a different train.
How do I get to this page showing my points. When I open app it is search & track foods
I just want to buy a simple train ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto..... But it seems we need to take a course just to do this !! HELP
Just go to the station and find the JR office. The people there speak good enough English and you can buy a ticket for the next available train.
I prefer the green JRpass.
Thank you so much for this!!!🤗🥰♥️
Great reminder ! Thanks ❤️❤️stay well

I had a coach tell me to just do purple during personal points but didn’t ask how, just started by quick adding points to get to -30% of dailies..I recall my reduced fat Dr eyes ice cream went up a pt on the 1 after purple but I won’t sweat it..not giving up my free ww lifetime now..but thx..may do healthi at Black Friday sale

This is absolutely inaccurate and misinformation at best. There are many types of JR passes and several still offer amazing value.
Love this!
Good point 👍🏼

This is so true! Great advice!

Thanks for your video. When i did the price calculation for my trip tge JR Rail Pass was only nominally cheaper, so i have decided not to get one, for the reasons you shared. That said, what is the easiest way to buy tickets and make reservations? I would like to do this before I go to Japan. Thank you!
The Smart Ex app allows you to book ahead. That said, the Nozomi trains run very often and unless you’re going during a holiday, I find it much easier just to buy tickets at the station when I arrive. There are kiosks with English or an office with a person who generally speaks good English (and usually a line). Personally, I like the flexibility of not being tied to a specific train/time. You might consider that for your trip…it sure is nice and more relaxing.
@@ShorrThing thank you!
@Deanluvs2fly happy to help!
1. You don’t need to reserved seats or have separate with the JR pass. There are non-reserved cars. 2. If you pack light it’s no problem. 3. I almost always stay near a Shinkansen station. It’s much easier and there are lots of business hotels there. 4. The non-reserved cars are full of regular Japanese people.
While this is true, people should be aware that non-reserved trains do not guarantee seats or seats together. So if this is a concern (as it was for me with elderly parents who needed to sit and be near me), I wouldn’t use a non-reserved train.
Nozomi is not part of the JR Pass, unless you pay an extra fee. JR Pass can be used for Hikari. In many cases Nozomi can go to Kyushu directly from Tokyo, but Hikari may not, therefore you have to transfer in Osaka. Each train is different on where it goes through which city. Some of what you state is valid, but there are other points that you make may be from a misunderstanding on your part.
I do not think I said Nozomi is a part of the pass, as I know it is not. That, in fact, is one of my complaints-that the pass only covers the slow trains.
YOU ARE IN A WRONG HOTEL😀 OR CHEAP HOTELS maybe
❤
Actually if you have JR Pass, you shouldn't worry about time or rushing cos with the pass you can take whatever trains at whenever time. If you missed the current train, u can always take the next train. Most shinkansen have 8-10 mins frequency of trains. Why rush, just relax and wait for next train. You can use the pass unlimited. My 2 cent tips - don't reserve seats unless it is Golden week or Obon week. Reserving seats can be stressful cos you then have to commit to specific train with specific time. My husband and I didnt reserved seats at all when taking shinkansen. Empty seats and not crowded at all.
The Nozomi trains run really often but not the others. My parents and I (using their JR Pass) missed a non-Nozomi train and had to wait a couple hours for the next one.
@@ShorrThingWhere? I’ve never waited more than 30-40 minutes for the next Shinkansen with a JR pass. Maybe they were confused about which trains they could use?
@@ChrisDrummond22We were traveling from Hiroshima to Nagoya and would have had to wait hours for the next eligible train. Trust me, I was not confused. I live here and understand the train system very well. There were plenty of Nozomi trains but not the ones we could take with the pass.
@@ShorrThing Por favor, no digas mentiras. Confundes a las personas. Por lo visto no sabes mucho de Japón y hasta estoy pensando que nunca has estado allá.
Does anyone know how to collapse a meal. Once I've added about 10 items to lunch, I hate having to scroll through all that every time I want to add something for dinner. Thanks.
My wife and I just wrapped by an 18-day trip and had the full 14-day pass that we used to go to Sapporo and to Unzen and a few places in between. Totally got our moneys worth.
Glad it worked for you!

Back at you!
Hey! In Healthi…. You can turn off the macros and only see “bites”
Yes! Did I say otherwise?
❤
I only found your channel randomly maybe a month ago when I was trying to decide to get the Healthi app and you had a comparison video. I started WW in late 2018 and lost 75 pounds - for the first time in my life I was in the 130's - then I got too comfy and slowly over the past couple years gained about 35 pounds back. I tried to do WW last summer and maybe being older and only being 80% committed most of the week just made it so slow to lose even half a pound. I stopped tracking altogether but kept paying for the service and then said I am just cancelling the only one winning this is WW by taking my $21 every month! I'm currently using the Lose it! app to track calories and started fasting about 6 weeks or so. The fasting eating window has helped most of the food noise in my brain and I think of it like having a kitchen/restaurant with different hours and if its closed its closed! I've really thought I don't care what number the scale is but I do want to eat more protein/clean eating, get my body fat % down and gain some muscle/definition as I am thinking of my health's future when it comes to eventually getting to my golden years in a couple decades dealing with bone health, memory etc. I've always been interested in lifting weights of some kind but its always scared me because I don't want to look like a body builder! ps love the Japan content!!
Thanks for being here! It sounds like you and I have the same goals--yes to lose weight but also longevity. Have you considered tracking your macros? I've found that very helpful to get myself focused on eating the right type of foods for my goals. And I promise you that it's very hard for a woman to look like a bodybuilder just lifting weights. That takes a lot of effort and supplementation. Have you heard of Caroline Girvan? I highly recommend her free Iron series on RUclips. It's how I got started! I also did the beginner weights program on Peloton, if you have a subscription to that.
@@ShorrThing I get a little 😵💫when I look at my macro breakdowns daily like wow maybe I should be focusing on these percentages. I have a lot of videos saved for menu ideas so I can make meals at home in better ratios. I think maybe a lot Mediterranean diet might also help too? I have seen that name you mentioned on some fitness groups I just started reading but I haven’t looked up if that was some celebrity trainer, influencer or what. I will check that out I didn’t know she was a RUclipsr!
@kawaiiwitchbaby yes! Caroline Girvan. You can find her on RUclips and I recommend starting with the Iron program. If five days a week is too much, it’s easy enough to just work out fewer days and make it a longer program. I also recommend finding PLT Nutrition on Facebook and joining that group. I’ll be talking more about them in future videos but signing up with them has been a game changer for me, especially when it comes to my tendency towards disordered and obsessive eating. You can request a free macros check from them and that might help. Thanks for being here and let me know if you want to talk more!
I stopped weight watchers when they dismantled the purple plan. It made no nutritional sense.
❤ Thank you for sharing this with us! ❤
It's nice to hear from someone who lives in Japan! We visit frequently and I carry similar items in the summer. I haven't tried one of the cooling neck rings, though. 🌸Heidi
Oh wow, I'm honored see your comment. I love your channel and you helped me decide to sign up for GoogleFi as our phone service before we moved here!

Hi! Not going to Japan anytime soon but great seeing you again! ❤️❤️
Thanku
Hi, excellent video my wife and I are traveling to Japan end of July for 19 days with our 3 children 12 yr, 2 yrs and 3 month . I was debating between renting a car vs using the trains. Would a JR pass be worth it ? Waiting in long lines with little children would be quite painful . What would your advice be . Do bigger strollers even fit on the trains ? Best regards
I wouldn’t recommend renting a car personally. The tolls are very expensive. But kids might make it easier for you. I’m sorry but I don’t know about large strollers. I imagine they do but you may need to reserve space on a luggage rack.
Love your video, I just shelled out for the 14 day pass. The reason I did this was because I was having anxiety issues after watching (too) many videos about the Shinkansen. I had enough so I bit the bullet and I feel much better. I’m an experienced Asia traveler but the Shinkansen thing was driving me nuts. I booked on Klook which had better price than JR and they threw in free eSIM (3GB data only) but one less thing to worry about getting off the plane.
That’s totally fine…you do whatever makes you the most comfortable. I promise you once you’re here you’ll see how easy trains are to navigate in Japan.
I’ve used the Simply Filling Plan , it was the best over 35 years that works for me👍🏻 WW will continue changing plans , it’s how they make $$ ,what plan worked for you and stick with it, it’s not easy but worth it. There are a lot of videos on about every WW plan , you should still have your books or calculators. Just type in Purple Plan on RUclips and you will have a lot to choose from🥰
