    I painted mine to look like marbled stone steel dark gray with light veins of copper to mimic the rust look it can have running through it Why didn’t you use an epoxy to pull it all together, make it last longer & shine like a granite? No one knows Mine are “fake” unless I tell them

    For everyone who made rude comments I certainly hope you have made and posted a video of your own to know what it's like. If you haven't, it's very nerve racking to make a video you know people will be watching and judging. She is trying to give constructive advice and it is unnecessary to comment on her nails or the UUUMMM. I also say UUUMMM when I have to give a speech because it's a frightening experience for some of us. If you can't say something nice...don't say anything at all. Remember that from when society still had manners?

    Wow, you have done the best job. I have seen close to 100 countertops. I couldn't live with most of the countertop jobs. I really do like your countertop. Job well done and TFS.

    Thanks for the um attempt to show us um a video um about painting your um countertops...um like you tried really um hard. See how hard that is to read? Just FYI, if you feel like saying um or like, STOP. Take a breath then continue to speak. Those are called vocal interference and they distract from you making a coherent point. I really wanted to watch because your finished product looked a lot like your sample, but I couldn’t get through the ups and likes. Thank you for wanting to show us what you did and how you did it. Breathe....

    Looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Mostly I've heard people say they used a sponge to dab it on. I guess whatever works. I want something like like that...mine are Emerald green. Do you know if you could use a metallic paint too for dabbing. I'd like alittle shimmer. You have a blessed day.

    I did mine about two months ago and seriously it looks so much like yours . I posted a video as well. I only used three colors , kilts primer and the minwax polyacrylic sealer. Mine is holding up wonderfully .

    After seeing your faux countertop I will not be using sponges, using the scrunched paper towel made it look like real granite, beautiful !

    recommendation... write out steps on a paper and then you can add and show.. that way it will help those that are trying to mimick what you have done.

    you did a great job on your counters, but generally when one makes a DIY video, they actually provide a tutorial. you did a very poor job of explaining and demonstrating.

  • @user-dr3vf7ec4d

    Looks fine, but without any REAL demonstration and alot of poor description with your explanations..."umm ummm umm"??? Best not to speak at all...thumbs down! Couldn't stand listening to the entire video.

    looks great. and on a budget. ive been watching videos for months and was thinking to myself that instead of the $150 to $250 kits you can just use acrylic paint and an appropriate top coat and achieve the same look. so glad i came across your video. absolutely love it. what top coat did you use. i dont think you mentioned it....thanks in advance...good job

    I did my kitchen counter tops and they came out great, except after about 6 months the paint started to come off.....I used 3 coats if poly...I am going to redo them and epoxy them, I did that with my bathroom counter top and nothing will take that paint off

    • @shruffles35
      @shruffles35 7 лет назад

      I read you have to apply the different top paints while the primer is still kind of wet, or the colors will come off. Maybe you let your primer dry for too long?
