      @theidlehandsworkshop3884 7 дней назад

      No, I should have waited until the 3 minute shorts rolled out to go more into that. Case in point for this was like my DaVinci Duo 3D printer which REQUIRED you to use their software as well as their cassette system for filament, it wasn't until about a year or two after it was released that work arounds for the software and cassette issue were found out and shared. I still use that printer to this day, but that's a prime example of getting stuck with proprietary software.

    I have this same machine. I got it assembled and trying to use it with the offline controller, everything works, but when I go to try and cut the preset design I keep getting a ( hard limit error). Tech support is no help what so ever. Can you lead me in a helpful direction?

    • @theidlehandsworkshop3884
      @theidlehandsworkshop3884 11 дней назад

      It has to do with the firmware, I used gSender ( free ) from here: sienci.com/gsender/ and although I haven't tried the offline controller, I was able to make my first cut with gSender. You also have the options of flashing the firmware from within gSender which makes it a lot easier. My machine was a paperweight until I started looking at it more like a 3D printer and then I was able to work through the problems. Now I don't even use the probe and I make nice cuts with very few problems ( I'm still learning how to make paths and stuff using Inkscape, also free ).

      Awesome and thanks for the sub, my CNC died last week or so but Vevor has sent a new one to me that will be here tomorrow so I'll be getting right back into the swing of things with the CNC... so many ideas and plans I want to use it for lol. I can use a scroll saw just fine but damn, why bother when the CNC can do all the work.

      @@theidlehandsworkshop3884 Sorry to hear your CNC died, but good to hear Vevor is sending a replacement. I finished the Y-Axis shields and now the belts, roller, and pulleys are protected from dust and particles. Maybe I should upload the STLs for others to print.

      @@Rogerquin I'm sure it would be appreciated by many people !!! I'm looking to move my black box well away from the machine or under the cart it's on to protect it from dust and stuff. I downloaded Candle 1.2.15b_x64 from Github for starters, there was an older version on the flash drive that came with my machine and was part of the problem. After that I needed to learn how to turn images into gCode so I found something easy and free in this video here from Mr Innovative: ruclips.net/video/bbe56S_O-uI/видео.html those instructions work out well but if you use the latest version on Inkscape you have to go a different route to get the program to export the gCode but it does still work and as I mentioned I plan to do a short video on that when I have some free time. So with the latest version of Candle and my gCode made from Inkscape, I took my laptop out to the shop, hooked it to the machine, connected it, made sure the drivers installed properly which they did and the default settings worked perfectly. I used the first part of this video here from FoxAlien: ruclips.net/video/3CxX6W2Vp10/видео.html to setup for my first run. I didn't use Easel as I already had my gCode from Inkscape. But as you can see, he doesn't use the Z-probe but takes a 3D-Printer approach to setting up the Z-axis which is what got my head right on this because it basically functions exactly like a 3D printer in how it moves and such. Hopefully that helps get you in the right direction, I am off work these next couple of days kind of ( new job and have training to do at home ) so I will try to piece something together because I do have a project I want to spotlight using the CNC and Inkscape so it would be the perfect chance to do a quick tutorial on this.

      A lot of it comes down to the measurements. On my website I've listed the various planes and thier measurements in the resource section. Many eclipse planes usually had a sticker on the grip that obviously would not have held up to the tests of use and time.
