2018 Silverado, full exhaust with long tube headers, no cats, no resonators, 3” pipe all the way, stainless steel Y pipe, and a Borla XR1 muffler. Cold start video right after fresh oil change. Sorry, no revs. Even though it’s tuned I still keep rev limiter at 4K. No valve floating here.

2018 Silverado full exhaust video. Running stock cats with Borla RX-1 muffler. Third cat and resonator are removed. Truck has cold air intake and is tuned. Sorry about the wind noise.

Had some more work done to the exhaust. Still have the same Borla RX1 muffler. Just had the resonator and the 3rd cat removed. Sounds more aggressive.

Muffler swap and flapper valve delete. Recently got a tune and turned off v4 mode. After that I removed the flapper valve just in front of the muffler on the exhaust system.
potential to be 400+ my friend has similar setup on stage 2 cam and makes 399 to the wheel need better tuner
Holy, that thing rips. Whoever tuned it did a damn good job, those shifts are on point😮💨
im curious to know how much power these 5.3 blocks can actually handle before going kaboom
you could probably around push around 600-800hp for a while. But if you're like me, going for longevity and reliability I wouldn't go past 600hp to stay on the safe side and still have boosted benefits (sounds, feel, fun etc) I was looking around and speed engineering makes a twin turbo kit that looks mighty alluring. This is a quote directly from their website "Horsepower ranges start around 500rwhp, and have seen over 800rwhp with just the change of a spring, or boost controller." But I wouldnt boost my old l83 to 800hp to haul my 5000lb crew cab and expect it to last a long time. Sorry for the long winded reply, Its 3am and I been looking at cam setups for like 8 hours since the boosted routes I saw run at around or close to 10k I'm just gonna go cammed for now since I'm a broke broke boy 🥲

@@sikrandall83 I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
@Scarecrow2018 well thats why the coyotes won't. With the vvt in place it essentially changes the cam timing to smoothen out the idle and make more bottom end torque. Then it changes as the revs go up to make more top end power. Kinda supposed to be the best of both worlds

What is the exhaust setup
Is it the truck cam? If so the titles misleading. A stage 3 truck cam and a stage 3 cam are two WAY different things.

@@T3Chevy I’m gonna call bullshit on that one, the horsepower numbers that you put out on that dyno video say otherwise. It’s not physically possible for a can of the size that you claim it to be to make that low of power unless it’s on 87 octane
@@littledeel I’ve seen trucks with similar bolt ons with TS cams put out similar HP on Houston House of Power RUclips page.
@@littledeel you may be right about the HP number being low. The shop gave me a year warranty so I suspect they probably dumbed it down in the tuning department. I’ve considered having it tuned somewhere else but for the most part I’m happy with it.

I have a BTR stage 3 cam circle d billet torque converter with a 3400 stall transcooler flex fuel package Corsa headers and stainless steel cat back exhaust Holley Hi ram and a 103 Katech throttle body
I think I’m gonna go with the Corsa Headers and cat back too. I really like the sound Corsa has.
Finally someone who's running a setup almost near the same I want mine as. Now I'm curious; with the 4/6 drop from IHC, how does it ride? Also, was that stall converter recommended with that cam or did you just go with what you thought was right? And lastly (sorry for so many questions) do you still have the stock driveshaft? I know they're kind of an issue with these years but I'm wondering if it's still as bad with rcsb's as they are with the others. Thanks man.
In my honest opinion I don’t think I could have gone with a better Drop Kit. The ride quality with the IHC kit is very good. Almost like stock. The rear is a little stiff but with drop shocks it’s expected. Every so often I have to grease the control arms with a grease gun or they will squeak. Just some regular maintenance to keep up with. The Converter was recommended by the shop who did the work. I was told they could tune the idle with no issues with a stage 2 but because I went with stage 3 it was recommended. I haven’t upgraded the driveshaft yet. I’ve heard they aren’t the best but honestly I haven’t had any issues. However the truck does stay parked for must of the week. I’m sure I’ll have to upgrade it eventually. But for now it’s holding up and gets the job done.

nice set up def need a better tune. shifts are way to short and that fuel cut in between them is awful. Id recommend GPI, KHP performance, RM2 tuning. truck has alot left in it
Truck looks good men. When I bring my blue one in summer here in Houston we should do a fun run I put a LT1 cam in my 5.3 and pushing about 387 not bad for Just stock cam

@@T3Chevy why aren’t you using it? Your truck is sick! I’m looking into getting a BTR stage 2 cam with a Circle D 3000-3200 stall. Would you know if the stage 2 will chop like yours? I have a Corsa sport exhaust with kooks LT Headers. She’s super loud, I can imagine with the stage 3BTR. One of the reasons why I’m thing about a stage 2 over the stage 3.

Hey brother what lifters did you go with ? I’m looking into getting my truck cammed. What are the specs on your cam and did you go with a circle d 3200 stall? I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L with kooks headers, DSX E85 tune and a Corsa exhaust.
I did go with the Circle D 3200 stall. Cam specs were custom from BTR. The shop who did the work didn’t want to tell me the specs on it.
Recommend Johnson lifters they’re pricy but if you wanna push big power go with those. More budget friendly morel lifters are still good.

What is your exhaust set up? I’ve got btr stage 3 with long tube headers but looking for a good exhaust set up.
Right now it’s long tube headers, 3” pipe all the way back with a Borla XR1 muffler. I want to get a Corsa cat back system later in the future.

Great video my brother.... Do you have the part # for this cam kit? I have the same 2018 6.0 in my 09 TBSS and i can't find anything for this motor. I have no idea if the kit for 2017 fits this motor or not. How's that circle D converter so far? I was thinking of getting the yank 3200 converter.
Unfortunately I don’t have the part number. The shop who did the work has a custom cam kit from BTR. The converter is great!! I would definitely recommend Circle D. I’m not familiar with Yank but the shop uses Circle D for most of their builds.

What's all needed for a cam swap? I'm looking to put a cam in my truck. I just have LT headers, CAI, and Corsa exhaust at the moment. I'm already looking into buying a new torque converter
The cam kit came with the cam and valve springs. I also did the torque converter and DOD delete kit. You don’t have to do the DOD delete kit but if you already have everything apart, might as well.

@@T3Chevy are you sure you dont need a dod delete kit? Is the torque converter a must? Will 2018 5.3 cam fit my 2019 at4 5.3?
@@saud9002 DoD kit is highly recommended. You’re already taking those parts off to do the cam kit anyways so might ask well take care of that while you’re there. Torque converter is recommended for stage 3 cam kit. Anything smaller they can tune out those idle issues. I believe the 2018 kit will fit your 2019. Same platform

I have a Borla XR1 muffler installed with long tube headers. The muffler makes a pretty quiet honestly. When I stand in front of the truck you hear more of the engine than the exhaust. I’ve been debating on changing it because I like to hear the chop lol

Any drone with the XR1. I got headers no cats or resonators on my 6.2 with a magnaflow 12909. I would like it to be a little more agressive so you can here my cam at idol better. I have the XR1 sitting in my closet. I just haven't gotten around to putting it on yet.
Put it on! Running headers and no cats you’re gonna have drone no matter what. But the XR1 is probably more quiet compared to what you have now. Lower tone, and probably less drone that what you have now.
The drone isn’t bad at all. Just a little bit of music and it’s gone.
@@T3Chevy thanks man It's hard to get a real answer on here. I just spun rod bearing 1 and 2 so the truck is stuck in the garage until diamond pistons sends the forged set I ordered.👍

@@T3Chevy Nice I got a video on my page of a sound you'll never want to hear LOL. I only have a TSP 218/226 but it runs good in the 6.2. Since I pull alot I'm swapping out to the CTS-V 6L90 converter just to give me a little bump.
I’m not a fan of lowered trucks, but it sounds awesome and it rips!
