Bread Machine Sourdough
Make wonderful sourdough bread yourself and with the assistance of your bread machine for the mixing and kneading phases.
This is a really easy method to follow, and I have used it many times now to good effect.
If you don't have a bread machine - no worries - you can still do the mixing and kneading yourself with your hands. It'll just be a little more effort and a bit more messy.
I hope you really enjoy this video and that it inspires you to making your own sourdough more frequently that you buy it!
I've put the ingredients, quantities and method on a scrolling text at the end of the video, but here they are for ease of reference for you as well.

Replace Toner setting on Brother printer DCP-L3550CDW

Here's what I hope is a helpful video showing how to reset the 'Replace Toner' warning on Brother printer DCP-L3550CDW. This very simple reset procedure will enable you to carry on printing when your printer has said it's time to change your toner cartridge, disabling the printer altogether and yet you know there's plenty more toner left in the cartridge for the time being!

Found this chick had fledged from its nesting box in the morning and found it standing on the bench in our garden calling for its parents. One of them arrives with a snack and finally it decides to fly off - left the camera to roll for 20 mins and this was the result in the last minute or so.
Used this procedure for a cheap new cartridge that was not recognized. It worked.
Not working anymore for me (September '24). Anyone found a workaround?
I know this video is old, but I did what I was told but the inf does not reset so there is an exclamation mark on the black level indicator how can I solve that issue? the cartridge is not the original many thanks

Didn't work for me at first, but the trick is you have to be on the screen menu not anywhere else. It works, 2024 october.

Do note this is a led printer not a laser printer
It says no data saved when I do that.
Nothing as in absoluutely nothing happens, when I press those two buttons at the same time!!!
Fantastic Jon, the video has helped me a lot for over the past 3 years, but now the procedure doesn't work anymore. I can reset so to speak, but the volume indicator no longer shows a full cartridge. Can you help?
FONCTIONNE TRÈS BIEN ouvrir le capot des toners appuyer simultanément sur croix rouge et retour et rappuyer brièvement sur retour sur retour le descriptif des cartouches s'affiche on réinitialise la couleur remplacé et c' est reparti pour l impression (avec sous titres en français)
Thank you! I’ve been trying to mix my SD in my bread machine before fermenting , then resting overnight to bake and it always comes out more dense then when mixed by hand. Mixing with about half the flour and fermenting overnight before adding the remaining ingredients sounds like a batter way to do it. I’ll give it a try.
Excellent. Surely it's up to the consumer to decide when they replace their toner. OK give a warning but not an obtrusive one.

Hi jon, Just a little confused in the description you say 720g flour but 420 plus 350 is 770 I would be grateful if you could clear this up as I really want to have a go at this the results look good and using the machine as a mixer / prooving box is exellent.
Ah you’re quite right - my addition is clearly wrong - definitely 420g to start with and 350g as the second amount - so yes - 770g in total. Thanks for pointing that out.

No salt in your recipe?
Yes - you add salt to the mix with the second amount of flour before the second kneading. See the recipe ingredients at the end. I’ve said 2 1/2 teaspoons. You can get away with 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoons if you want.

I would like to buy this, however can you use this with toner refill I.e. fill the existing cartridge it comes with and reset it to use it
Mine won't reset while it is '...receiving data'. Have to stop the print and turn printer off and on again first.

You made this over 2 years ago what does your printer now look like inside?
I found other way to reset Cartridges without old firmware on OEM toners: remove toner, take out the chip, take out battery, wait couple of seconds for reset chip, place battery insert toner and after few seconds will work. The only bad thing its you need to redo it if the printer power off (credit to smoothrat from reddit)

Thank you so much for this video. Unfortunately It doesn't work with my MFC-L3770CDW. The error message "No toner cartridge" is still displayed after reinitialization.

Thanks for the video! December 2021, MFC-L3770CDW unit- this works if the top is open first. The toner reset message must be showing at the start. The button presses cancel/back together then back alone must be done within less than a second on my unit.
