Thank you for this inspirational lesson. Very generous to share all that. I have been dreaming of doing something like this to one of my vibes for decades but never did. I would like to try something like this. I'm surprised the vibrato comes through so well on a peizo pickup connected right on the bar. Could you share some info on this? If one did not use the resonators would the pickups alone sound thinner? As in it seems they are picking up a lot of the resonator sound here? Or is that a tremolo effect added? Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your inspiring project! Noob question: why not (more) simply connect the piezos to a single cable running under the bars? Skipping the mini-jack system altogether would save a lot of precious setup time, or am I missing something?

Hi.I have a big request, please pay attention. My Musser M55 has the left side of the damper slightly higher than the right side. And for the last few notes the damper does not muffle. How can I level the damper?I will be very grateful for your help.

I just received my very first personal vibraphone yesterday, the YV 3030 because I hope one day I could perform in gigs in my church, as well as learn solos and learn how to improvise. Do you have any tips on getting the intervals accurate especially coming from playing gradulated vibes to non gradulated (especially in smaller intervals)? have you ever made diy pickups? I thought another video looked like a tiny solder point under the node and not a sticky piezo. I’m interested in diy design pickups. This video led me to get a g2m holy &$#@ thank you for this insight! I have the Deagan 515 and this is going to add a whole new dimension. Craig Peyton is doing something similar with ancient K&K tech… wish that was still around
