Hi. Seems to be lack of glue. Did you mix it with water? Maybe it was the wrong proportion. Was it fully dried? Could be that as well.

Amazing I do believe I could do it without any prior experience under my belt. I love the way you instill confidence in your viewers and how you come up with such cost saving do it your self videos. Obviously you know what you’re doing because the camera angle is perfect and I can visually see everything you’re doing. Appreciate this so much

Well, I'm not sure really. The glue offers a bit of a cover, but I don't think it would be that strong. But that's an interesting idea.
Does the olive oil get rancid and start to smell over time? This is the best video instruction I've found for making these. Thank you!

Would parchment paper work instead of foil? Since parchment paper is also non stick?
It could work, but unlike foil you would have to use glue or scotch tape to make it stay in place. However, I think it might actually be a good idea! If you try it let me know. :)

It will always depend on the humidity and temperature, but in general it takes 1-2 days to fully dry.

Can it dry faster
Hi Vivien. It will always depend on the weather (if you live in a place with a lot of humidity, it'll dry slowly), the place you leave it to dry in, how much glue you use. I've had a tree dry in 2 days once, but another one dry over night (in that one I took more glue off the string before I rolled it around the cone). You can also try using a fan or blow dryer, as long as it is far enough from your project, so it doesn't ruin anything around it. I hope I was able to help you!
the foil and cardboard don't come out easily and the string is broken. you didn't show how you did it. and also for the baloon. thanks.
Hi, Ana. Did you previously apply oil like I suggest? If not, maybe that is the problem. And you have to try to separate it slownly and carefully, section by section so that the string doesn't break. The amount of glue that you've use might also be the problem. In that case try using less glue. Then, when you separate it you can easily give it a second hand of glue and it will be just fine. I hope this helps.

My strings kept on falling apart from the cone. :(
Hi, Janice! I think you might be taking too much glue off the string or you're not rolling it tight enough around the cone. One other way to make sure the string holds itself better is to always change the angle you roll it in, if you understand what I mean. I hope this helps!
