Hello everyone! After a rather long break from RUclips, I am finally back with a new video. If you have been following me for a little while, you know that my style is quite warm, contrasty, rich, with dark shadows, and pops of light. I also love shooting brown, beige, orangy foods. In this video, I will be sharing how I edit brown food photos using my FREE preset, Brown Food Magic. ▶︎ Download...

Hi Murielle, I recently discovered your channel after becoming interested in food photography. I've watched quite a few of your videos and subscribed to your channel and I hope you do come back to the platform because I love your videos, but until then, I'm excited to watch every single one of the videos you've recorded before now, while practicing my own photography. Take care!
Oh thank you so so much for your comment! It really means a lot. I do hope to make a comeback on RUclips when the time is right. It is a platform I just *love* so stay tuned! Wishing you all the best in your food photography journey and if you have any questions or would need any guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out on Instagram :) xo
Classy Lady, Classy Presentation, Classy Cake
Apart from the fun of doing this if you have 3 different camera and 3 different focal length lenses, I have missed the point trying to be made here. If it’s about comparisons, it’s not so much about shooting with different cameras as shooting with different focal length lenses. No matter what camera you put a wide angle lens on, the image will always be distorted when shot at close distance. The Canon was the only lens that was not distorted because its 50mm lens on the APS-C sensor is approx. 75mm full frame equivalent i.e. a short telephoto perspective. If you fitted a 27mm lens to the Fuji and the Canon, the distortion seen of the iPhone would be fairly similar from all three. Similarly if you could fit 75mm full frame quiv. lens on the iPhone and the Fuji their images would look similar to the Canon’s regarding distortion. Maybe the point is that product photography is best taken with a 75mm full frame equivalent lens irrespective of the camera you use it on. Thank you for sharing a fun comparison.
Thank you for your input! To me a big part of photography is the fun of it & these are the types of videos I like watching so that’s why I thought I’d share my version, in the food photography realm 😊
Thanks! I have a 200d for years! Its time to upgrade, im buying a full frame 6d mark II! I have a 50mm that fits her! I Will use for flatlays! Im looking for Another lenses to shoot more closer, found the 85mm 1.8 from canon! Its a good choice?
Ohhh exciting about the upgrade!! Yes, having an 85mm lens is a greaaat choice! You will not regret it :)
i love your style of shorts. It's slow and calm yet straight to the point. This looks delicious. Congratulations on finishing your project. I'm not vegan so i'd be getting the book for photography style inspiration 😍📸
Just curious ; what lighting you used? I loved how soft and just enough it is!
This was fully shot in natural light :)

Hi I just want to ask if I can shoot with a canon 80d in 2024 ?
I think it is still a great camera! Versatile for both video and photo. You can find it second hand as well for an affordable price, which is great :)
Please I hope you can answer me.. I have two lenses from this category Sigma 50 _1.4 Sigma 18_35 Which is better for photographing dates and some foodstuffs? Do you recommend another lens? Thank you
Are you using a full frame or cropped sensor camera? I think out of those two lenses you mentionned, the 50mm is the most versatile. 24-70 is also a great choice regardless of if your camera is full frame or cropped sensor. I hope it helps :)
@@muriellebanackissa Your answer is satisfactory enough Thank you very much 🌸🌸💜💜
Very good job and good pic. :)
❤ Oh ! This is sooo helpful Murielle. Thanks for this editing session. I'd like to understand how you bring the lines when you worked on the top of your backlight at 15:15. I just don't know how to do that 😂 Thanks ❤
Fantastic video thank you so much. Just realised where I’m going wrong!
Yay! Wonderful Katie ☺️ I’m always happy to help!
Amazing video, it helped me understand budgeting camera lans 🙏
Yay! I’m glad it was helpful ☺️

Love the little table you're using for your over head shots. Do you mind if I ask where you got that from. Thanks for the great content!!!!
I got it from a local home hardware store, but you should be able to find it even at Walmart or Amazon :)
@@muriellebanackissa thank you I hope i find one similar
You’ve spoken my heart Murielle, thank you for your openness and glad to feel energy again. I’m just returning to socials after a long period of uncertainty and burnout. Can’t say unequivocally that I’ll “be posting consistently now”, but riding the waves of creativity as they come as well trying not to “dim my light” as you mentioned 💜
And congrats again to you and Sam! 🎉
@@daviniaophotography2811 Davinia, thank you so much for taking the time to write this comment. It takes a lot of courage to come back after some time away, especially when your creativity ebbs and flows. I am excited to see what you share in the coming months and am sending you lots of strength and joy through it all ❤
What an exceptionally nice speech. And yes, I recognise the challenges. Your photos are also impressive. I'll use your website for inspiration!
Ohh thank you! That really warms my heart 🙏🏽
I relate to this so much. I experienced each feeling you mentioned when describing you burnout word for word. I’m still in a state where I feel lost and like I’m not sure if I’ll ever create to the same extent as I did in the past. But, hearing your story has given me hope and an idea for how I can move forward. Thank you, beautiful lady. ❤
It can feel quite lonely right to experience what we’ve experienced? And I find this feeling of loneliness is even more intense when you go on social media and you feel like no one is going through what you’re going through. But we are not alone. Not at all. I really suggest checking out Morgan Harper Nichols’ app. Her words and paintings have been very healing for me and I think they can really inspire you too ❤️❤️
Consultations!! Very informative and inspiring video
Thank you so much 🥰 I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and commenting!
I'm very happy to see back on you-tube. Missed your channel very much!
Congratulations to you and Sam!! Murielle, you are one of my favorite persons to follow - your tips on food photography, vegan recipes and the way you create your videos are just lovely! I appreciate your vulnerability in this video and I think what really strikes a chord with this is SUSTAINABILITY. I admire that you stepped back and found other creative outlets to pursue and learn. I wholeheartedly agree with you. What do you equally love as much, that you can do to create to put into the world that is SUSTAINABLE that brings you joy and fulfillment? You are achieving your goal of writing a vegan cookbook - that doesn't have to be your whole identity and what you do, it can be one aspect. It is completely OKAY to shift gears. You can still be a creator, an entrepreneur, and be a prominent figure to teaching others in a sustainable way - exploring different creative projects and stepping back will only help figure these things out. I can see you in the wellness space and finding what you can do daily that is sustainable while aligning with your authentic self, will keep you going and thriving - your book, your photography, your videos, recipes are all tools and part of your path. What is the big picture? I hope this makes sense. PS, your jewelry is lovely.
Oh my goodness! This comment brought me to tears. You have no idea how much what you wrote spoke to me. Yes yes yes to sustainability and taking the time to putting the pieces of the big picture together. Thank you for your support; it means more than you know and I’ll keep creating, showing up, and trying to help others do the same along the way ❤️
@@muriellebanackissa Oh, I am so glad! Figuring out what you can do in this space that is sustainable is key. Your gifts and talents are only part of it - and you can incorporate all of that, in some way that is sustainable. Lots of love my dear!!
Love your channel! Hope we can see more frequent videos 😊
High quality production, nice content! Pls don't make 2 year breaks and post more often. There's a lot of potential in your way of doing this :) Keep it up!
Ahhh thank you, that means a lot!! I will definitely try my best to create more videos :)
Congrats on the book!!
Thank you so much Joanie 💚
Thank you very informative..you smashed it👊
Thank you so much :)
Another effortless one! So serene
Thank you Phoebe <3
Effortless! Murielle, where do you get your cloths from?
Mostly home decor shops :) I like to opt for 100% cotton or linen as they work best. Check out my Nailing Napkins Ebook to learn more. The link is in the description.
Wow I learned SO much from you. Thank you! ❤
So helpful! Thank you!

Thanks, great video!
Appreciate so much how you explain the color adjustments - so effortless!

@@muriellebanackissa I am from Poland and was a very popular cake in the pastry shops, cut in squares and dusted in sugar 🍰dust, but I think is originally from Itlay and made for Napoleon Bonaparte🥰
